I disagree.

Nowadays it's outrageous to tell women to stay in the kitchen and do all the house chores.

But conversely it's not outrageous to keep demanding that men mow the lawn, fix the plumbing, sacrifice themselves in some risky endeavor, keep on being the main provider.

Women emancipated from many of their traditional tasks,whereas men kept theirs.

Society was designed this way in the past because it was the most optimal way to maximize production, workforce participation and organic population replacement.

Define oppressed? Upper middle class white women could lounge at home drinking wine and chatting with other women all day. These were the women who considered themselves the most oppressed and created the modern feminism. JFL. Feminism was and is always just a power-play.

Anyways to your question, I think it's more of how feminism is being pushed in the media and culture that is causing such a strong reaction - the promotion of slut culture, the dominance of corporate feminism, the way a man's career can be destroyed in an instance by just an unverifiable accusation, the lies regarding wage-gap, the hypocrisy regarding things like college enrollment rates, suicides, feminism only chasing the good cushy jobs not actual equality, and of-course the deleterious effect it is having on a society that won't produce children.

what you leave out of this static framework is how much harder, more dangerous, and unpleasant life could be in the past... and how much of that fell on men. Also how male behavior was constrained. Even at the height of Roman republican “strong men” period, Augustus was lecturing men about what useless bachelors they were and how they needed to get married or be productive and ideally maybe go die somewhere expanding the republic. Men often didn’t WANT patriarchal burdens; they were often forced on them so cultures could out breed each other for a good zerg rush of expansion and plunder.

You make it sound like it’s a party for men it the past, but frankly women stuck in traditional gender roles was just a framework to keep men in place being useful or expendable.

Personally I like gender egalitarianism bc it forces women I’m not fucking to take an equal share of the burden of running society. Does this occasionally make them tired and unhappy and cranky? I hope so! Makes it more attractive if they ever wanna become tradthots and let daddy take care of things.

Women in the past were MUCH more insulated from the realities of ... basically anything, and sorry but traditional gender roles sound bad for women by CURRENT standards of freedom and individualism, sure. But it was just as bad for men. Like, count me out of any patriarchal system from the past EVER unless i could be one of the aristocrats groping my servants and sending serfs off to war.

One of the most interesting aspects of the sexual revolution is that on paper it should have made women much happier. The reality is that it has made them miserable. The reality of it is though you're right, women will refuse a male dominated order until they see it's in their benefit, and with the entire school/media structure holding strong on a "The future is female" narrative, we're about as far from that as I can imagine. As with many things what is old is new again. Maybe in 50 or 100 years that will change, but women will have to choose it - not men.

I see almost no benefit for a neuro-typical woman to engage in muh traditional gender roles. most NT women can support themselves just fine. Most people will say that women were happier in the 50s compared to now, but correlation doesnt equal causation.

I think it's really hard to quantify this kind of thing. Men have lots of things in their favour, but the things not in their favour are pretty big. Because I'm a woman, less people are going to expect me to put myself in danger for others. I'm never going to be told to let the men evacuate first.

Does that alone even the score? Does it tip them the other way? I have no clue, and honestly, I don't think it matters.

I think there's a deep seeded connection between 'gender roles' and biology. Women are the primary caretakers, because well they literally give nutrients to their offspring over a long period of early upbringing, and guess what the Man does in that situation? He's the provider and protector.

Why should women accept the patriarchy? What's in it for them? What do they win by it? Why shouldn't they fight it at every chance as it is unfair to them?

All of those questions are unnecessary because the vast majority of men are not interested in bringing back a full blown patriarchy. As long as the majority of men are not interested in it there is nothing to worry about. Just make sure that the majority of men have a content enough life so they don't consider that bringing back a full blown patriarchy is a good idea and you will be allright.

But... for the sake of argument... lets say that the worst come to pass and for some reason or another the majority of the male population decides that is time to take women's rights away and be done with it.

Why should women accept the patriarchy?

Because at that point, you can't stop it. May as well enjoy the best place available in the new order.

What's in it for them? What do they win by it?

The best place available in the new order.

Risk/reward analysis. There is no point in fighting for a lost cause.

But as I said. All of those questions are not needed. As long as the majority of the male population doesn't think that a full blown patriarchy is a good idea there is nothing to worry about. Be careful about the population explosion that islamic based cultures are having though. That is the thing that should worry you. So far it seems like the only way that said majority can be achieved.
