I don't consider myself a "terper" but the smartest thing I ever took from TRP is to watch what women do, instead of listening to what they say with regard to how they prefer men behave. There's a disconnect between reality and fantasy in how most women see themselves.

Of course men imagine themselves as invincible fantasy characters too, but our culture doesn't encourage them to actually believe the fantasy as we do with women. It's considered childish for a grown man to identify too closely with fantasy. In fact we mock men to the point of humiliation to keep them down for some reason.

You realize that TRP does not have a "form" right? It is simply a set of constantly validated truths. How men or women use those truths is totally up to them. A guy can know the red pill and not be stoic, not have his shit together etc.

Also red pill advises AGAINST marriage, because women are easily bored they need to be constantly validated emotionally, mentally, physically especially today's crop. TRP isnt meant for the eyes of women. If deer could talk they would have a similar reaction in reading a guide that explains how to hunt and prepare deer.

TRP is also a way of filtering for a specific kind of girl. Many (most?) RP males want to act how women and libtards would percieve as "sexist". There is a spectrum between "benevolent sexism" aka chivalry, and straight up mysoginistic sexism that most RP men fall in. If you continue to act that way around women, you will filter out women who want nothing to do with it, and filter in women who will at least tolerate it, are okay with it or like it. The higher your SMV the more women will be willing to look past red flags and also lets not forget there are women who get turned on by the thought of a dominant guy who treats women like objects, even if they wouldnt express it that way or in those words. Just because something doesnt turn you on doesnt mean it doesnt turn other women on, for the people that cry about AWALT, you sure love to push AWALT whem it suits your narrative.

Is it the most efficient way to get laid? No. The most efficient way would be to be neutral, aka conform your speech to societal norms, sus out what the specific girl you are into wants in a ONS/STR/LTR and become a chameleon and adjust the script accordingly. But for a lot of men, its hard to keep up the facade and the mask starts to slip so its easier to simply filter for women who conform to you instead for anything longer than an ONS.

I think you’re conflating or confusing RP with PUA. PUA pre-dated Mystery & Neil Strauss. PUA pre-dated RP. RP originally grew from the PUA community personalities who were pretty much selling books and courses to men regarding “game,” and happened to stumble upon Esther Villar’s “The Manipulated Man” (1971). It was a profit motive that originally drove RP (to sell a new genre of books and course), but that was quickly and unexpectedly shut down by the flood of free information from online communities.

RP is essentially part 2008+ updated edition of Esther Villar’s “The Manipulated Man,” part “inner game” aspect of PUA, and part applied evolutionary psychology and behavioral economics specifically with respect to sexual relations between men and women.

When I was 8-15, I was BP. My mother told me girls didn’t like guys that were muscular. I grew up around the times of Anna Nicole Smith, and the messages I was getting as a boy were, just focus on making money and women will come (which is true, but at fucking 30+, and by then, who gives a fuck?), and that women are really not interested in sex the way men are interested in sex (it’s just something they do for men).

By complete accident, I started working out religiously when I was 15. By 16, my gym teacher and other kids in my class thought I was on steroids. So much so that my parents had me tested. By 17, I got my male bragging rights out of the way with a few “hot” seniors and juniors, but I still didn’t understand “why,” and I still felt like, “I guess I just got lucky.”

From 2004-2006, I had met this guy from the DR and this Filipino guy, and we would hit the gym together for about 2.5 hours a day, 6x a week. Again, all this was by way of accident. The guy from the DR was consciously doing it for girls. The Filipino guy was doing it to not be skinny, and I was just doing it bc now I had company when I was lifting.

Halfway through college, the Mystery Method came out, and PUA came into the limelight. The guy from the DR was ALL into PUA. But from 2004-2008, between the three of us, I would always be the one who would pull more girls. We were all in good shape. All the same height. All studying accounting. The only difference was that I was Mediterranean “white,” led the study groups and had good grades, and that my parents were financially comfortable. Unlike them, I had no job. I didn’t work a single day when I was in college.

By 2008, RP had started to gain traction and become organized and cohesive online. I casually dabbled in RP, because I was curious. At heart, I’m a nerd and love learning. All of a sudden, RP put my life in context. It was honestly a miracle I didn’t get married sooner in life. I was so naive and such a bleeding heart romantic it wasn’t a joke. Until that point, I would start dating a girl, listen and care deeply, fall in love hard and quickly, ANY sex we had, whether it was first or second date or second or third week, to me, EVERY SINGLE TIME, it seemed like an accident or like I got “lucky.”

RP helped me dispel a lot of the indoctrination I had from parochial school, and realize that MEN WERE SEXUAL OBJECTS AND HAD SEXUAL POWER. Sex wasn’t some “trade” of, “I’ll sprinkle some money and give you some romance and commitment, and you’ll give me sex.” Women also weren’t these innocent 😇 angel fairies of love and all that is good in the world. They were manipulative, they had their own agenda, they approached dating with specific goals and a selfish purpose.

From 2008-2010, I probably had as much sex as I had from 16-21. Why? It was super simple. When I interacted with women, the No. 1 first and most important thing I did was ... BE EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE. Women “hated” it, because they would rather start the process of sinking their claws into you and leading the situation into marriage. But right from the get go, they understood: (a) I’m not looking for a serious relationship that’s going to lead to marriage, and (b) I’m not looking to make female friends. So, if we continue to interact, it begs the question, why are you still interacting with me?

But I was weak. I could never feel comfortable with casual sex. My heart had to care for the other person I was with. So, I would be exclusive with everyone I was having sex with. I would be “in a relationship,” and I would inevitably develop strong feelings and enjoy taking care of them. That was my BP brainwashing, and unfortunately, I could never shake that off.

I was more aware of the “why” behind sex occurring, however. Basically, objectively look good physically, have a “look” that’s been branded by the media and ingrained in the female brain as a “hot” guy (in terms of style), and don’t be afraid to project masculine energy and sex appeal in a subtle and subdued (and tasteful) way ... ALL THE TIME, NON-STOP. Don’t let her know any other side of you. Don’t show off your money. Don’t show off intelligence. Don’t even show off humor. Just be a sex object for her, a walking attractive rock hard erection and aggressive fuck waiting to happen. Also, take the lead. That’s it. It’s that simple. All this “game” talk is genuinely just bullshit men philosophize about because they’re too lazy to put in the time and effort at the gym, in the kitchen, in their wardrobe, and in their self-esteem and confidence.

Towards the end of 2010, I took a step back and introspected. I realized, “What the fuck are you doing, man? How many different women do you need to play with your dick? What are you looking to prove or feel? Because it’s not the sex. So what is it? Are you looking to conduct some kind of primary research? Into what? Why women have sex with men? I think you got it. So, what the fuck are you doing? Do you really want to end up like your father and uncles (who were womanizers)? Is that the kind of man you want to be? Stop living your life trying to comfort the doubts of other men. You know who you are. You know how women operate. You know how people operate. What do you want?”

And what I wanted was to have someone to take care of. Not like a child or daughter, but as an adult. The only reason I enjoyed being social is because I liked being a good host. I liked taking people through new experiences, having people sleep over and cooking for them, comforting friends, helping clients I knew would never pay, etc. At heart, I couldn’t shake off the quote, “Find yourself through the service of others.”

So, I was looking for an injured 🤕 bird 🦢 who was too tired from life to be manipulative, and “appreciated” (rather than be defensive or offended by) a guy taking care of her (in a non-controlling way).

Then I met my wife. She was exactly what I was looking for. When we first met, she told me later, she was just interested in fucking me. She didn’t think I was boyfriend material, but she wanted to wait until I broke up with this other girl I was seeing before we started dating. But then she had a change of heart, and so did I. She appreciated everything about me (except me making jokes during sex, or forgetting things, or giving her looks when she had ice cream 🍨 or McDonald’s 🍔 🍟 🥤 for dinner). And seven years later, we agreed to get married (with a prenup).

I would say I became PP around 2013. I think once both men and women become a bit jaded from life and have comforted a lot of their fears, insecurities, doubts, and the “unknown” / “mysteries” about the opposite sex, that’s when they can get in touch with LESS about what we want FROM the other person, and MORE about what it is that we have a burning desire to GIVE to the other person. I think that’s ultimately the glue that holds a relationship together, makes everyone happy, and ultimately determines long-term compatibility.

None of those are incompatible with passion and intimacy. People aren't magically more intimate by being unfit, for example. The only way you're close is on "emotionally reserved", but effectively TRP advocates to not blab endlessly about your hardships in life. That's not the same as not expressing joy with her, showing her your passions and hobbies, being excited about adventuring together, etc.

I don't want my spending habits critiqued because "I didn't earn the money" - and RP men are the exact type of men who would set up a situation where they want their wife to stay home but then complain when she spends "his" money.

It sounds like you're unattracted to the idea of a man who gets his way by having financial power and exercising control. I think TRP would pretty freely admit this isn't necessarily likely to be attractive behaviour, and there are lots of SAHMs who cheat in exactly that situation. What TRP advocates is becoming a sexually attractive enough man that the woman self-selects (i.e. voluntarily opts) into those situations, and picking a woman who won't require the exercise of harsh control to behave with his finances (if given).

So those are two slightly different things.

Additionally, TRP freely acknowledges that women's sexual strategies change over time. The classic idea, of course, being that girls ride the "cock carousel" (god I hate that phrase) until their late twenties, then finally settle down for "beta bux". So what you're attracted to now may not be the same as what you're attracted to at the point where the decision actually matters and you've dated him for years and are about to have kids.

Honestly, I could probably tolerate 2 and 3, but not without an emotionally involved partner, which most TRP men are not. The attitudes and certain attributes that TRP teaches are counterproductive.

I think you're confusing your own desires for a long term partner with what most RP aware men want. They don't want to be long term partners. They want easy pussy. It sounds like they managed to be attractive enough for you to provide that, but now you want to settle down and realize they aren't the right men for that. That doesn't mean they aren't attractive.

For what it is worth, for long term relationships, the red pill acknowledges most of the things you mention. In an LTR you have to provide beta and pass comfort tests. On MRP many use the "captain and first officer" metaphor for their marriage - the first officer is a subordinate but certainly a trusted position that you respect and listen to.

TRP can make a man attractive FOR ONE NIGHT, if he's subtle about it or she isn't in the know about Pickup Game and TRP ideologies. For many men, that is enough.

For short term, TRP helps a man act and appear like Chad who has women flinging themselves at him. Chad might be able to keep a decent girlfriend for a while, but one of them will get tired of the other one soon.

For long term, TRP can improve a mans self confidence, and after several flings he may find a girl he can stop being Fake-Chad around and actually start a relationship. If that is his goal.

But people who internalize TRP aren't going to end up in LTR, they are going to hop from flower to flower. They won't keep a girl who is looking for an LTR, but that is okay because they'll find the next girl.

You don't have to be an asshole to be TRP or PUA, but both lend themselves to being assholes and staying assholes. Women have demonstrably shown to be attracted to these things at least in the short term, and for the most part that is what these guys are looking for.

Long term there are several improvements to TRP mans life, confidence, appearance, engaging personality, life of the party. Those are hard to give up for any random normal girl, but I've seen plenty of these type of guys meet "the one" and settle down.

But most women won't be "the one".

How do you know you didn't read this oversimplification into what he was saying? I have a strong feeling this is what really happened when he pointed out a logistical hurdle in something you wanted or expected.

This is what I've heard endlessly out of women who just spend and spend on dumb shit like amazon constantly because they're bored, then wind up getting the couple into credit card debt that can be very hard to get out of and very expensive in interest. Then when the men respond to this with "your spending habits need to change, we can't really afford this" they react emotionally and defensively and feel attacked. The resentment builds, the spending habits worsen and there's not a lot the man can do about it to avoid getting stuck with expensive credit card debt because his wife is bored and impulsive.

Just wanted to say that this is why I am so happy to be in a relationship with an ENFJ male. Terpers may not believe this, but he is surprisingly very alpha, with a good mix of beta traits.

100% agree with you, 2 and 3 are complete turnoffs for me. As for 1, being fit and self sustaining are of course desirable for any human, and while stoicism can be mysterious and alluring for a while, it can be a sign of a partner unwilling to communicate or put in any emotional labor-- also offputting farther along in a relationship.
