My definition includes women that pursue taken men, knowingly spread diseases, carelessly screw men without protection, actively going after men their friends are interested in, and/or using sex to manipulate men for whatever reason.

Careful, they're not quite synonyms.

Hoe = trashy promiscuous woman, seen as low class, often cheats, the poorer or lower status slut

Thot: woman who flaunts her body for male attention excessively. Example is a woman wearing ultra tight yoga pants and doing her routines in the middle of the gym so all the thirsty guys stare at her

Slut: A woman who sleeps with many men. With "many" being a quantity that depends on the person and time period. Once it used to be a woman who had any premarital sex, now its a woman who's been with quadruple digits of guys.

Whore: a woman who gets paid to have sex with (mostly) men. However sometimes women upon hearing her husband cheated on her will call the other woman a whore out of distress. But typically this term refers to a profession (prostitution).

A "hoe" or "slut" I've always understood as someone who has low standards, doesn't build the necessary trust before becoming intimate with someone, and/or places sexual pleasure above the health and well-being of themselves and/or other people (e.g. not caring about the consequences of their sexual actions, cheating on their partner, complicit in someone else's cheating, puts themselves at risk of rape, STDs, unwanted pregnancies, etc.). "Sexual impulsivity" or "promiscuity" would be another way of describing it, and is actually a common symptom of many mental illnesses (especially mood & personality disorders). So this is unequivocally a bad thing IMO.

One big problem with this is guys are often not looked down upon for exhibiting these behaviors, often being called "players" or "studs" (with positive connotation) when in fact these are objectively harmful or at the very least sub-optimal behaviors that should not be tolerated.

A incautious slut. I had friends who were absolutely sluts in their younger years, but there's not just one kind. A woman who is exceeding cautious, aggressive about birth control and protection from STDs, and otherwise careful is one thing. I don't think of a woman as being a "ho" unless she's irresponsible and self-centered. A slut just likes sex, and is usually careful about it. A ho breaks up relationships, lies, and doesn't adequately protect herself.

A hoe has no standards for who she fucks and will fuck basically anyone. She has the sexual appetite of a teenage boy and embraces every opportunity to fuck. Hoe is a neutral term.

A whore means a hoe, but is used only as a derogatory term or ironically endearing term.

A thot is a hoe who is outwardly hoe-like. Someone can be a hoe without appearing obviously so, but a thot posts videos of herself twerking.

A slut is easy (like hoes) but not necessarily as prolific and reckless in her escapades. A slut can still be a virgin - i.e. blowjob slut, anal slut. A slut fucks after the guy makes a move. A hoe gives an otphj before the date is over and leaves the first guy's place after fucking him for her late night booty call.

Everyone has a different definition. Some people think that sleeping with anyone outside of marriage makes you a ho. Some people think women who have slept with 5, 10, 50, or 200 people are hos. Some people think wearing certain outfits or having a certain attitude about sex makes someone a ho. Some people think all women are hos.

So just do what you want, try not to hurt anyone, and don't worry too much about what other people think.

“Hoe” is an abbreviation for the word “whore,” which is just another word for “prostitute.” We are all hoes. We sell ourselves for money or things of economic value. So, that’s the history of the language itself.

In terms of “usage,” the joke goes, whores sleep with any man (for a price). But sluts sleep with any man (except you).

“Slut” (when used by men negatively) is usually a reactive epithet following anger over the fact that a woman “he wants” to have sex with, and who has sex quite honestly with not inhibition or (“oh, I’m not that kind of girl, I believe in waiting and not rushing into things,” blah blah blah), just isn’t interested in having sex with HIM! It’s kind of an odd insult from a man to a woman, because if you think about it, what it’s essentially saying is that you’re a sexually honest woman with almost zero inhibitions regarding being sexually intimate with a man you find attractive ... and yet, you won’t have sex with ME! Who is that really insulting at the end of the day?

“Slut” is also most commonly used by OTHER WOMEN towards WOMEN. Yes, shocking. Other women try (as if it’s the 1950s) to damage the reputation of their competition by badmouthing and labeling their competitors as “sluts.” The irony of this is actually kind of hilarious. By doing so, these women are doing two things simultaneously.

Imagine an OPEC country like Iran 🇮🇷 calling Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 a “slut” for selling the same exact petrol ⛽️ for 30% LESS than what Iran 🇮🇷 was selling it for. What do you think 🤔 the 🇺🇸 or the European Union 🇪🇺 would do? Pay 30% more for Iranian petroleum, right?

By doing so, these girls communicate two things to male buyers of female sex. First, the speaker of that message is overpriced, expensive, inhibited, and is dishonest about having sex with men she finds attractive. Second, the intended target of that attack “may” indeed be a slut or slutty, which as far as buyers of female sex are concerned, that’s potentially great news.

They're different terms that are used to make insecure people feel better about themselves by putting others down. In this particular case, they feel threatened and insecure about women's sexuality.

These terms don't say much about the women that are labelled as such, but they say a lot about the person using the terms.

So in that regard, I don't lose respect for the person who is the target of these terms - I have no idea what standard the person doing the name calling is applying. However, the person doing the name calling definitely loses my respect.

I use words with the aim that the listener has the same perception of said word as I—to actually use language for communication rather than emotional self-gratification; it's a revolutionary new concept that it seems most individuals haven't caught onto yet.

The fact that you have to ask what they mean and everyone is giving you a different answer perfectly describes what I think of those words. Their meenings are generally unclear, circumstantial, and largely depend on who's speaking.

Personally I often call people engaging in unethical sexual practices such as mate poaching and infedility hoes. I also use "slut" and "slutty" occasionally as nuetral or positive descriptors for clothing and behavior.

Hoe: any girl who unnecessarily shows off too much skin, especially when they're supposed to be in a not so casual setting like university or work. That is the minimum standard, sleeping around and hooking just makes one more of a hoe.

Is it good or bad to be one? Bad. Sex-positive people will say there are no negative consequences with being a hoe and that you should just mind your own business until they're blue in the face, but the fact is that it has negative consequences. Studies show that the more someone sleeps around the less they can commit to a long term relationship or marriage and the more likely they are to cheat. This is besides the risk of stds, unwanted pregnancies and broken hearts from hook ups.

Do I respect someone less if they are one? No.

And while we're at it, all this goes for fuckboys too.
