She literally thought she could just accuse him of being a witch and that everybody would just say "BURN THE WITCH" and set him on fire. When confronted over the legitimacy of his potential witchcraft, her argument was that evidence of Franco's magical capabilities has no bearing on the decision to burn him at the stake as a witch and that people demanding evidence from a poor soul like her are just witch sympathists who want to watch the world burn, instead of watching witches melt.

It's a fucked up society full of fucked up people, and Hollywood is an extreme reflection of how fucked up it is, and reported on by a fucked up media, whose job it is to fuck you up even more.

I honestly wouldn't pay any attention to it. Trust me, when you ignore the media, don't watch TV, your life improves.

You have to be pretty dumb/confused to simultaneously argue that nude scenes are immoral and exploitative, and be pissed off that you didn't get paid enough for doing one. Your moral objection would've vanished if you had made more money? Would it have been less exploitative if it was 1k a day?

This woman has less integrity than a prostitute, haggling over the price of a blowjob while simultaneously shaming the john for soliciting her services. I can't take these people seriously.

What's there really to say, there's a sexual harassment moral panic going on, and only women can really put a stop to it.

Part of the reason why sex is such a popular topic for moral panics and witch hunting is because nobody is 100% unashamed of their sex life, and nobody agrees on what is a morally upstanding sex life unless it's 100% Mike Pence-style boring. So it's impossible to defend yourself with the "nothing to hide" approach.

That pretty much covers it. When a regular person tries and fails at flirting, he just gets embarrassed, maybe a few giggles get shared at his expense, and then all parties move on and forget about it. As for the advances question, sure, as long as they back off when someone declines, and keeps it to appropriate settings (AKA, not subordinates etc). I disagreed with the BBC article because people who are not professional deserve to lose their jobs, doesn't take superhuman strength to keep dick out of work. The controversy around Hollywood isn't because of men coming onto women - it's men in positions of power causing detriment to careers of women unless they said yes.

According to my friend who follows celebrity gossip Franco has been known for years to have a thing for underage girls. And Seth Rogen is apparently an enabler on that front. These were the last two I expected to hear about, really disappointing.
