This CMV is inspired by a recent post about TRP philosophies being merely solipsism.

Before I start, I'll mention that I am fairly new on this sub; I just found it a few days ago. I'd like to mention that I'm very impressed by the liveliness and the high quality questions in the posts that I have seen.

That being said, I have also quickly noticed a trend that suggest some deeper issue in the mindsets of a lot of users here.

Whether you are red pill, blue pill or purple pill; there will always be bias to your views. This bias is introduced at your birth and continues to manifest itself through every possible aspect of your life, be it your parents, friends, geographical location, quality of education, political affiliation, race, etc.

The views that we all have initially have on the psychology of gender dynamics is influenced by this same bias. There is no denying that this bias exists. It is an unchangeable part of how we, as humans, have been conditioned to think and act.

I emphasize initially, because, change can occur. You can take in information from other perspectives, debate it, and then reach an altered point of view based on this new information and change in perspective. However, and this is the point of my CMV, the majority of those who are arguing on this sub, at least from what I have seen, don't do this nearly enough, to the extent that they must, in order for that change in mindset to manifest itself in a meaningful manner.

This saddens me because I truly have fallen in love with this sub already, but I am fearful that this trend, in stubbornness and unchangeability of beliefs, will obstruct and hinder forward progression of what we all want to achieve by being active on this sub...that is becoming more well-rounded in our modes of thinking through the lively debate of interpretations of human behaviors.

I predict many will argue, "Well, what else are we supposed to do? That is the whole point of the sub!".

I am not arguing nor suggesting that this sub isn't an amazing tool to help people achieve this goal of enhanced perspective. I am also not going to suggest alternatives to help fix the problem I believe exists in my CMV.

That is not my point so please do not argue that with me in the comments.

In fact, as I've said multiple times, I believe this sub is a wonderful first step and an incredible tool to enact positive growth in an individual's thinking patterns.

I am asserting that there is a majority of people who simply cannot change their views on the different pills because that would mean that their interpretation of the world is flawed, and thus, the thoughts that comprise their characteristics/personality along with the ways they think, have been flawed their entire lives.

This is a scary thought that would make anybody hesitant to accept as truth.

It takes enormous amounts of humility, introspection, and an ability to empathize and understand, more than anything else.

Please CMV.

I do not like my belief that people are unwilling to accept change in their thinking because, if that holds true, then any attempts at discussion and debate are, indeed, pointless.

Show me something that will make me hopeful for the future of this sub and of people in general.

Thanks for reading.
