I definitely prefer lower male voices - not necessarily really deep, but I find nasal, weak or high-pitched male voices off-putting. An example would be David Beckham, who looks very masculine, but has a very weak and frankly annoying tone to his voice. He may fit many of the categories that women should find attractive - good looks, athletic build, highly successful career, very wealthy, famous, etc - but his voice negates all of that for me. Big turn-off. I'm actually more likely to judge a man on his voice than his abs...

It seems though to me that low female voices are often sought after and seen as more sexy too - so it's not necessarily about masculine and feminine voices (ie, generally lower pitched and higher pitched respectfully). Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Lawrence, Eva Green, Emma Stone, etc all have quite low/husky voices but it doesn't make them seem less attractive, does it? Women often seem to have a preference for low voices (Alan Rickman, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Idris Elba etc) but men don't seem to have a preference for high voices...

How do others here feel about voices? Does it matter much to you? State your gender please :)

Ooh, and bonus question if you feel like answering it ;) - how about accents?
