The only way I can challenge this view is to rewrite it slightly.

Women have always been pretty brave to go on dates with attractive men, ~~in the middle of the night. Alone.~~ anytime, anywhere, anyplace. Right?

Not only has ~~that~~ the threat of literally anything bad happening to a woman been practically eliminated, (In b4 "what about rape culture?!), unattractive male behavior has been criminalized to the point female interpretation of unattractive male behavior is worthy of investigation. So long as the man is attractive, he can get away with virtually whatever he wants.

I don't know any woman who would do this for a first date. Maybe after she's gotten to know the man a little bit better, but someone she barely knows?

Uh, no. Women do not generally schedule first dates in the middle on the night in an isolated place. This just isn't how it works.

Interpretation of a person's behaviour has also been grounds for looking into. If I call the cops because I've seen something I personally deem suspicious, barring utter crazy talk, they'll check it out. Male behaviour is not "criminalized", unless you consider rape and sexual assault to be male behaviour.

But, we still wonder why marriage is in decline?

It's like none of these thoughts are related to the one before it.

You are wrong. Women still live in fear of men.

Women genuinely believe that any time Creepy McCreeperson is alone with them, he's going to rape them. Or worse, he may try to have an awkward conversation where he slowly and clumsily works up the courage to make a move, and she'll have to be uncomfortable and confrontational and shoot him down.

Obviously, if Chad McStudly made a move, she'd say yes. Or if he tried to rape her, it wouldn't really be rape because she'd be jumping him instead. Everyone knows that the real rapists aren't hawt manly men. Those guys get women at bars to come home with them easily. Real rapists are socially awkward creeps who can't get girls any other way. Women don't cross the street to avoid the muscular guys who just walked out of the gym. They cross the street to avoid the skinny, badly dressed guy with the funny walk who happened to exit the bar about the same time they did.

And women's fears are legitimate. Because men are stronger than women. The only reason a woman can walk home safely tonight is because men are playing along and letting her. Any man, anywhere, might just say fuck it and quit playing along. Chad McStudly isn't going to rape her, because he has lots of willing sex partners. But Creepy McCreeperson is already pretty socially outcast and doesn't have that much to lose, right? Women stay the fuck away from guys like that. Because even Creepy is stronger than the average woman. Raping, beating, robbing, and killing women is really easy for a man. It's not the strength of women that keeps men in check. It's the fear of getting caught and punished. By other men.

This is the entire reason you see the scenario outlined in your original post. It's because women still live in fear of men, every single day. The entire reason they fight for the culture you see before you is because even now, women are scared shitless of creepy men who are stronger than they are raping and hurting them. Because any man could, at any time. It would be so easy for him. But right now, for now, most women make it home safely, because Creepy is afraid of getting caught, so he plays along.
