I think number ratings are subjective. I would rate myself 7-8. I would be a 7 for some people, some might consider me even 8.5. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

  • People trust me more because of my looks.

  • I am successful at a relatively young age. Most of my "peers" are also attractive.

  • Objectification- I have really nice ass, as told by a few of my female friends. My ass has probably been grabbed my random women 10 times at bars, clubs. Friend in college- I told her, I was dating a girl. Girl I am dating goes back to her house on the winter break, me and friend are out with a bunch of people on new years. I got a little drunk. Since my room mates were gone I let 3 of the girls sleep at my apartment. 2 slept in my room, the friend decided to sleep on futon mattress with me. I wake up in the middle of the night, hard with my friend trying to give me a hand job. We aren't friends anymore. 2 weeks ago, at a bachata night, an old woman asked me to dance with her. I refused to grind on her while dancing, she got mad at me. Told me that she wish she could teach me that life is all fun. Then she walked away in the middle of the song.

  • Getting phone numbers isn't hard, dating for the most part is also not hard. I realize there are men that have it much much easier than me, but I am still doing better than the average man. Fat women will approach me on dating sites too. Real life they usually don't come close to me.

  • I never get called creepy, I can act like an ass. In fact I am not very nice to my girl friends, I'll pick on them, play little pranks, and they all love it. Some of them will say "you are mean" and still not stop hanging out with me.

  • Maintaining my looks is also a bitch. Clothes that fit are expensive. Grooming takes time, haircut is $30 every three weeks. Gym is another 5 hours a week, but I like working out.

  • If I stop working out, and dressing nice, I become a lot more invisible to the opposite sex. The majority of women I meet are shallow, even some of my girl friends objectify me.

  • A lot of good looking people aren't very nice. They make fun of the average people. Women make fun of men's heights and looks, guys make fun of socially inept people.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Clothes that fit are expensive

Gotta learn how to shop my friend. I am "uglier" than you but likely way taller and spent god knows how many hours online shopping for clothes that fit me. This is also spending god knows how many hours in store as well. End result tho is I often not find clothes that fit me well or to a T (have a sports jacket that fits me perfectly to a T with zero heming and its 100% wool and got it on sale for $30 MSRP was $250).

If I stop working out, and dressing nice, I become a lot more invisible to the opposite sex.

I doubt it. You certainly become invisible but so much so that you become invisible like it is for a 5.

Hong Kong.

Worth it to make the flight for shirts, suits, jackets, slacks. Just buy a whole bunch of them at once. You can get shirts custom tailored there that would cost you $300+ in NYC/London for $45. Ten of those pays for your flight, suits $450 vs $2000, etc.

Side bene: HK is one hell of a city for nightlife. I'd say top 3 (maybe) in the world (w/ Stockholm, and Paris).

What the fuck. I would have decked her in the face. I'm sorry that happened.

[–]funny_lyfeMostly rational2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It was kinda of flattering at first, but then I got angry. She told me that I had been snoring, and stopped she though I had woken up. Anyway it wasn't traumatic. However, reverse the situation and I would have gotten into hot water.

In my 20's, an 8.5. Now, face of an 8 body of a 6. Had body of a 4 for a while. There is definitely, without doubt, a direct correlation between looks and perception about character.

I'd always felt free about honest compliments and noticed that the more out of shape I got, the more scowls and frowns I got in response. As I've started getting back in shape, the responses are becoming more positive.

People are shallow fucks.

On paper I'd be Chad. 30yo, 6'2/185lbs, fit, deep voice, decent face, 100k STEM/management job, masters education and traveled the world.

But in reality I'm just OK. I'm not cool, and although I am good socially I much prefer time alone. Have lots of 'beta' values; I am very patient, polite and non-confrontational.

The way it affected me is I became more and more passive in the SMP the better I became, didn't approach or try to win girls since I was in highschool, but lots of girls have chased me. Rarely out of lust imo, they were husband hunting.

[–]buarthaDelights in homosexuality7 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'd say I'm between 4-6 depending on how you feel about short (5'5,) slim guys.

I had girlfriends in my teens before I came out as gay and didn't have problems with guys showing interest in me physically afterwards, so in that respect being average did me just fine. Relationships with guys were harder to come by, but I think that was also influenced by factors beyond my appearance so I'm not sure that being hotter would have really helped.

The aspect of my physical appearance that probably most affects the way people act around me is the fact that I look quite young. Sometimes people talk down to me or assume that I'm less knowledgeable than I am (I'm no genius, but I'm well qualified in my field,) which can get frustrating, but I've learned to deal with it.

[–]aznphenix4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nah, short slim guys are great <3

[–]wub12345 points6 points7 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I would say 6/10. It's very subjective. I could be higher than that for my age, I don't know. In my age group in the UK, 70% of men are overweight or obese, so I feel I must be above average being 6' and 170lbs.

In terms of what impact it's had on my life, I would say that it took years, if not decades, for me to get to be above average! I had to wait for other guys to let themselves go! Dating was more successful in my thirties than twenties, but that could also be because I moved away from my hometown where I was never going to fit in.

I'm not sure what impact it has had on my life. Dating has been a struggle and it would be nice to be really good looking, but not many people are blessed in that way. Sorry, I was forgetting, I could lift weights and I would automatically become 8/10!

[–]cxj75% Redpill Core Ideas6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is really really hard because girls are so type oriented imo. However, for the girls who are into white, muscular, bearded guys with tattoos, I'm probably an 8-9. Some girls just gush over my appearance, and I have been approached by girls with clear romantic intent on many occasions. When I worked a cash register, every single day some girl would tell me I had pretty eyes, she loved my beard, or that I was cute. Sometimes they would write down their numbers and give them to me. Granted this was like one chick out of hundreds I helped at the register, I'm not justin bieber level popular lol. Also, girls on instagram have PM'd me their numbers out of the blue, told me I was cute, left hearteyes comments etc. Twice in my life, a completely random girl I don't even know her name has grabbed me and kissed me in public. One of those times led to public bathroom sex.

I think it has given me huge advantages in life. I don't really believe in white privilege, but I definitely believe in good looking privilege. OTOH, I think it gave me unrealistic expectations for how to get a quality long term girl. Like I was thinking that since looks mostly seal the deal for girls, it would seal the deal for me too, but it was much better for casual sex. Since I am way too emotional, I got attached to some of these casual girls and got my feelings really hurt. This wound up taking a bigger toll on my mental health than I realized for a long time. I also am more narcissistic than I probably would have been if I was less good looking.

TBH though, the major game changer for me in sex/dating wasn't my looks, but my bands. I will never forget the landslide of pussy after my high school band dropped our first demo and got local hype from dudes in older more established bands.

The cold reality is it takes a lot more than just looks to get laid and especially relationships with quality girls.

In reference to the number of women who will actually go out with me a 2. And this was when I was in shape.

Also those women that might be interested in me, probably couldn't keep up with me on the last mile of a 20 mile run.

There was a survey on of women on reddit that said not a single girl under 5'6" had dated someone shorter then them.

I'm 5 '4.5" and haven't dated anyone shorter than me. And no one shorter than me has ever shown interest. There aren't a lot of men shorter than me, either, which matters.

I have dated men in the 5'7" range before, and it was entirely a non-issue. In fact it was kind of nice having someone on my level.

[–]trail221 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well truthfully in the end you never know why someone isn't into you. I believe and maybe incorrectly soit is mostly physical based on the fact I have a pretty large social cirlce and the reaction to me is pretty much immediate.

But after 35+ years on this earth, I find it pretty rare simply meeting a single women that is not rude and is nice, much less interested in me.

[–]aznphenix2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

At 5'6" the vast majority of men are taller than them - dating someone shorter is a feat in and of itself.

[–]speltspelt1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, if everyone dated entirely randomly, only 10% of women would be dating a guy shorter than them.

[–]trail220 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes and the number in marriages for marrying women marrying men shorter then them is much lower then it should be given pure randomess.

[–]goatismycopilotPurple Pill Woman1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I do not get it you go on and on about how you cannot meet women because of your height then you dismiss an imaginary one who lags behind on a run.

[–]trail220 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It was a joke. poorly worded one at that.

[–]LittleWindowpane points points points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Wait, fat women would actually be willing to go out with you?

It's harder for a woman to run as fast as you: consider subtracting 10 percent or a little more from your 20 mile run times, then consider the men that run that fast. That's the standard you're holding her to.

[–]purpleppparmchair evo psych1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Not me :\ I was beaten by a woman in my last 5k lol

[–]LittleWindowpane points points points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Harder, not impossible: you were also beaten by a good number of guys, many of whom ran 10 to 15 percent faster than you.

its a joke. Nvm.

[–]ErrantBadger0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

In 33 years I have heard one woman say a man was too short to be with and that's in the last year. I honestly have not seen the dislike for height thing in pubs or clubs. Though I socialise with old punks and any man who has the balls to wear a pvc kilt and cockatiel hair can't be seen as 'less of a man', I would like to know if this height judging is really prevalent?

[–]trail224 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

There are plenty of numbers on dating sites. Obviously the shorter you are then the more it matters. At 5'3" I am in the bottom 1 percent of height for american men.

There exists a bias but to the degree is argued.

[–]ErrantBadger1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Now you mention it I've seen on reddit the height issue on dating sites, I think as never took that route I've been blissfully ignorant of the problems men face in that regard. I guess like the 'tall, dark and handsome' trope that is bandied about. Have you found men in public situations like a pub are demeaning about height to other men?

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I've been blissfully ignorant of the problems men face in that regard.

I am a guy and was ignorant, too.

Height privilege is really a privilege in the way feminists describe it: You don't know how much you are privileged until the privilege is taken away or until you see friends struggle.

[–]ErrantBadger2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have always tended to see womens attraction features as changeable, well if we have the money, so never really thought of height and what a barrier it can be for some men. Incel/mtgow threads bring up the height thing a lot and I think as I fundamentally disagree with a lot of their posts I kind of brushed that one aside. Perhaps because I assumed women are the judged ones regarding looks I thought seemed silly to have height as a reason to not fancy someone as been witness to tall women friends have a crushingly low confidence about that. I'm not sure if it's down to the people I socialise with or absolute ignorance of it, probably both.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Or you experience life more and hear more about what others experience, which is the case for me. Growing up I never thought my height was a plus outside of sports (which I basically sucked at). I dismissed the whole height and woman thing simply because girls basically never hit on me. It wasn't until later did I notice how much my height help me dating wise and that in life in general and heard about what shorter guys went thru.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

) I dismissed the whole height and woman thing simply because girls basically never hit on me. It wasn't until later did I notice how much my height help me dating wise

Same here. That was exactly why I couldn't see it for a long time.

[–]ErrantBadger0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Lol to be fair I've not noticed Asian or Indian men as being short but I'm very standard in views on what arouses me which is mostly attitude and balls. I find many trp chaps think it's specific eye shape or male underwear model muscles. Personally I prefer incredibly masculine facial features but that included an overweight biker who was the opposite of the model type in body and height.

Yes it is. Can't say I mind too much as I benefit a lot from it.

[–]maleincel910 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

A lot of it is subtle. Sure, no one will will outright tell you that they think you are too short to date, but I'm sure that when they talk to their girlfriends they'll say "oh he's too short or whatever". Even to a subconscious degree, you'll have women who will say that they don't discriminate against short guys but their animal part of their brain makes it so they'll always be more attracted (and therefore make themselves more available) to taller guys.

Given two males, 5 foot vs 6 foot, the average person will naturally feel that the 6 foot male is the better leader, more charismatic, etc.

[–]ErrantBadger1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Speaking as a woman and the discussions of men we fancied (believe it or not we don't discuss men weekly over pedicures and tea) I've only heard that once, that lady had a specific type. I have heard far more men say they like petite women and focus on that dainty size. I did date a chap for a while who kept bringing up his height but his painful insecurity about it was his unattractive aspect. It could even be a cultural thing as I am not American. I will disagree with you saying tallness is assumed as more charismatic, that has nothing at all to do with height but TRP, Incels and MTGOW desperately want to quantify charisma almost like an rpg number levelling and height is the barrier.

[–]maleincel914 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's not the barrier, but it is a barrier. Yes, anyone can learn to be more sociable and charismatic but it is definitely easier being an attractive/tall/fit person.

Attractiveness and charisma often go hand in hand because the interactions you have with strangers begin on a higher footing and therefore you have more positive feedback in being more social and outgoing. I feel that height is similar in this aspect in that people view you more positively because of it.

Read up on the glass ceiling. It is the phenomona observed across all cultures and societies where business or political leaders tend to be on the tall end.

Yeah, its unfortunate that your date had such an insecurity about his height. Internally, I would definitely say I am but I avoid showing this externally in all interactions. The question is to you is "is his insecurity irrational and baseless?" Or has he had experiences with with his height that you may not have experienced.

There is definitely a 'height-privilege' that exists in our society.

[–]ErrantBadger2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The question is to you is "is his insecurity irrational and baseless?" Or has he had experiences with with his height that you may not have experienced.

That's really made me pause. It's so easy to shut down someone and call them silly for insecurities without even having an iota of their experiences. I always despised men telling me to shut up about my own but never really stopped to consider their world interactions. You have made me remember a very recent conversation with my best friend and he made an offhand remark about women not taking him seriously sometimes and taller men trying to intimidate him if he took a woman out. He said he was 5'3 and I was very flippant as he's a handsome, intelligent and funny guy I couldn't see why that'd be an issue. The lady who made a height comment was dating him. Thankyou by the way for explaining in a way without getting pissed off at my lack of awareness about that. Seems I fell into that trap of only considering what I deem as not a problem, when one does exist.

[–]maleincel911 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, its all good. I've engaged in so many debates ranging from spiritual to political discourse and I've come to realize that regardless of whether I am objectively right or wrong, anger tends to not only push the opposing view further away from middle ground but also makes yourself blind to the possibility of being wrong.

Honestly, even with a calm and rational approach, I've rarely been able to change anyone's opinions because it also takes an open mind to be receptive of a new perspective!

5 of 10.

I guess that in the long run it affected me positively. Since I can't take attraction for granted I have to work on my other qualities and it has made me more analytical when it comes down to things like attraction, relationships and gender relations.

[–]maleincel913 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

To the average girl who I've just met, probably 2/10. I'm a short, skinny Asian with no facial/body hair. I look way behind my actual age so I'm pretty invisible to every girl I meet. In the right context, I think I can be a 6 or better as my facial attractiveness isn't bad.

In middle school, I would put myself at an 8 or 9 based on how many pretty girls would be flirty with me. It's pretty depressing reflecting on the continually decreasing score as my male peers started growing taller, stronger, older than me.

It's taking a toll on me for sure. I'm reaching borderline levels of depression as reality of my situation sets in. The problem is that on top of having almost no chance of romance, I have to deal with all other side-effects of being a short Asian male.

I'll list some stuff:

  • My profession has a decent Asian demographic. As you go up even one rung on the corporate ladder, Asians are basically non-existent. Short people are also heavily-underrepresented, in particular if you are a male

  • Respect has to be earned. Much less of it is assumed initially. I have to tolerate much more shit. One moment in particular stood out to me in college that made me realize I started much lower than my friend. We were enjoying some pick-up ultimate and an overly competitive dude gave me some advice in a condescending manner. My friend (6'0, muscular 200 pounds) remarked that he can tell the dude to chill. That interaction didn't bother me at all until I realized that I was so used to this as a baseline interaction that I thought dealing with this shit was something everyone goes through. My friend, on the other hand, never deals with this so he was bothered on behalf of me. I've been more observant of this since then.

  • I have a coworker/friend that I hang out with and it's pretty depressing observing how people ALWAYS acknowledges/greets/makes eye contact with my friend first. I also catch women glance over and it's always eyeing him (he's probably an 8). The only times I've noted girls looking at me are when they are cleaaarly under 18 (my friend is 31 and can probably pass off as their dad).

  • Same friend, we were on a business trip and every f'ing time we ate at a restaurant, the waitresses didn't even bother asking to split the bill and gave it to him. He remarked that given that we're in an extremely rich area, there's probably enough rich business men with 'boy toys' that they just assumed I was another...

You might think I'm a 'woe is me' kind of guy from reading this, but I'm not in real life. I just suck all of it up and try to do my best.

Have you tried lifting? Are you attracted to Asian girls? I know quite a few Asian guys who fit your description. They're foreign and don't seem to have a problem dating/marrying foreign Asian girls.

A white friend told me that he noticed a lot of Asian girls checking me out but I had no idea.

[–]maleincel911 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I do more toning than bulking. It's definitely something I need to change so I can be 'bigger'.

Yeah, I am attracted to Asian girls. The problem is that, within my American-born Asian demographic, almost every single girl that I grew up with are dating or married to white guys. It's a result of consuming American media and a clash of two drastically differing cultures. The end result is that you get a lot of ABC (American born chinese) girls that go exclusively after white guys and a lot of single ABC guys.

I will have more success with foreign-born Asians that haven't been overexposed to American media. Unfortunately, given my current location, this is a pretty nonexistent demographic.

[–]purpleppparmchair evo psych0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Don't do "toning" exercises. That's what dieting is for. Just pick up a strength training program and aim for linear progression.

I know ABC girls who date Asian guys. You should probably try online dating.

[–]maleincel910 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I know. I keep putting it off for some reason. No excuses.

Yep, it's definitely not 100% of ABC girls who exclusively date white guys. We're on a spectrum between fresh-off-the-boat Asian to 100% culturally American. I'm 2nd generation, middle-upper class, college-educated, which tends to have a lot more white-only Asian females.

I've tried online dating. Tinder, OKC. It's been an eye-opening experience to say the least. It may be a different experience for you but it's not worth my time on these sites. I'm talking about a <1% match rate on Tinder, with only a handful of those to ever have responded to me. 0 dates from it. OKC, I've had one. This was after hours and hours of time on that site.

I moved to a city with almost no native Asian population so it can get pretty tough. Not only because of the lack of Asian females, but non-Asian girls will be a lot less receptive too, due to social norms and such. I've had a couple girls I've met thru social connections. These could have gone somewhere, but I am admittedly inept in navigating these situations. It's not that I come off as needy or desperate, but I am too disengaged, appearing uninterested.

[–]IIHotelYorbatreats objects like women2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is going to really wind the incels up but it's also a very important point about looks and behavior.

I've never been rated lower than an 8. Women constantly tell me how good looking I am.

...But without good enough game, they don't. In fact, I've easily had blowouts as harsh as anybody. Without the right approach, girls look at me like they stepped in dog shit.

This is what people don't get: many women have a very very high natural defensiveness, and most women can afford to be SO choosy that raw "Chad" attraction isn't anywhere close to being enough for sex. I've checked this with all my best looking friends, guys who have every single stereotype of a good looking guy: 6'4", young, fit, successful, super good style, their experiences fully match mine.

If AT ANY TIME you become too needy, the girl is turned off and you get to literally watch the initial attraction that comes from your good looks fade from her face. It's crushing. And you get to just stand there with your dick in your hand thinking "but I'm good looking!" Doesn't matter lol.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's interesting.

So basically women can detect male thirst from a mile away, and it's the ultimate turn-off, right?

So what's the key to being the opposite of thirsty and radiating/exuding the opposite of thirst?

[–]IIHotelYorbatreats objects like women0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So many ways, from several different mindsets:

  1. Warm up socially- if you talk to a bunch of people you won't be as scared and therefore seeking approval to feel ok in a social situation.

  2. Actually become abundant with women- some girls aren't as picky, or just like shy guys. Newbies can start off with them and work their way up to actually not being thirsty.

  3. Just hiding your intent- natural game guys don't like this. But there are ways to "go indirect" and make it seem like you're there just to party or socialize. I actually recommend it because some women are so stunning you can totally weird them out just by being around them, even if you aren't trying to pick them up.

I'm riddled with lots of issues and self-hatred and body issues and whatever but when it comes down to it I really really like who I am, and that includes physically. I wouldn't trade places with anyone. So I think I look great. Skin isn't perfect and while I'm in decent shape I'd want to be a bit leaner and more muscled. That's it. So I think I'm good.

When it comes to others I really don't know. I guess a 5 or 6? Women have been attracted to me and made it clear to a certain extent but I'm not good looking enough that I've ever been directly asked out (except for maybe 2 or 3 times in my entire life) and I've managed to stay single and unfucked till 25 relatively easily. So I think that makes me a 5. Or maybe a 4. I really don't know but I'm guessing between average and below-average.

[–]purpleppparmchair evo psych2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm Asian and short (5'8") so thank god I'm not straight!

I'm probably a 4-6. I have a decent upper body, pretty nice ass and legs, but I don't like my face. Though, I don't think I'm completely hideous. Received unwanted touching from a few girls in college. One time I was biking next to a car full of ditzy highschool girls and they rolled down the window to talk to me and waved as they drove past me. I get hit on by men a decent amount when I actually go out. I just hate going out lol.

What is this hang up with rating yourself here? I'm not going to put a number on myself.

Girls turn to look at me on the street, including girls too young for me. Girls dance near me at clubs and start dancing with me if they're drunk enough or if I look their way.

I dunno if it's about my physical attractiveness or if I have (as a couple of girls have told me) a "boy band" look. Helps with girls but hasn't helped otherwise. Magic doors haven't opened to me.

[–]prodigy2throw#Transracial2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

For men ratings are better off in a range. I'm around 5'8 , so that alone takes away half my rating for most women. Once women get to know me, I can add 1 or 2 points. I'm around 5-6 , and the way it impacts my dating life is that I have to hit on every woman I see and endure more disapointments, power plays, and cold feet from women.

Plate theory has really helped me deal with my disadvantages with the opposite sex. The fact of the matter is, a man who is below an 8 cannot overinvest in just one woman without expecting big disappointment. Women are bitches, so be Cesar Milan.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, I kinda dislike my face and find it really weird, but, objectively speaking, it's unlikely to be that bad + I'm slightly taller than average, so, I dunno, like 4 or 5/10? I never tried to date though, so my appearance hasn't affected my life in the slightest.

I think I posted elsewhere that I am a 6 who presents as a 7 and scores 8.

In my late teens and early 20s I was perhaps an 8, maybe a 9 certainly a 10 after I rocked my high school as front man for rock band.

In my early teens I was a 4. I had shaggy hair, I wore glasses and I had no confidence. I was complete toxic waste to girls.

I was a complete loser with women for so many years that I finally said "FUCK THIS".

I ditched my glasses and got contact lenses; I ditched my wordrobe and bought some new clothes and the most chic place in town; I joined the military and I LIFTED.

I went from a 4 to 7 in 48 hours by a simple change in style. I became an 8 after basic training and I packed it on. I became a 9 or 10 when I fronted a rock band that year.

That year was my Red Pill year, long before Red Pill meant anything to anyone. That year showed me the way the world worked, in terms of women.

Now?

Maybe 6 or 7 but largely irrelevant because I have found my angel

When I was a child of 5 or 6 years old my list of friends was rather even in terms of girls and boys. I have a few curious stories to tell but the basic yarn is that as I became older I became geeky and the girls paid no attention to me but rather fawned over the jocks. In my grade 7 class the top 5 students were me and 4 pretty girls. . .but they all liked the dumb jock.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'm a solid 5. Have a facial scar and an ugly but masculine face.

I don't read too much into it, I'm pretty sure my major sticking points are game related rather than looks related.

As far as people on this sub go, I'm probably in the extreme end of believing "looks don't matter too much for men," I'm convinced that even an ugly dude like me can get attractive girls by living a good life, doing cool hobbies, and maintaining a good social circle

[–]LaToroBlanco1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

5 or 6. I'm skinny and starting to dad-bod with the metabolism starting to slow down, and don't have super-masculine features (I have okay shoulders) and I'm 6'4", so I assume my height evens out some things. If I grow my hair out long, it kind of offsets some of my skinniness and maybe adds a half-point if you like that kind of thing.

However, I used to be a goofy looking kid. I had very screwy teeth as a child, had braces and thick glasses (before they were cool), so I was probably more like a 3 or a 4 growing up and especially into middle-school/puberty years. It wouldn't have matter if I had turned into Tom Cruise or something, I always self-reference as the too-skinny middle-school kid with terrible looks.

It kind of just wrecked my confidence and I'm probably a foreveralone virgin at this point but eh.

[–]Monkey_Jerk1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe 6.5 at best with lifting, grooming, clothing style, or at least that used to be the case. Now with bad skin and being 5'8 maybe 4-5. I've had some girls interested in me in the past but never really capitalized on because my head is a mess. Online I did get messaged first a few times by women who I considered attractive.

[–]brewmastermonk1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If i was skinny, 8/10. Right now im a 4/10. I've always had girls interested in me even now. So I've never been unconfident on that front but it also takes away a lot of motivation to better myself because wht start trying now if i've never had to do it before. Plus i was molested and my whole relationship with people involves a lot of frustration in general. I'm not sure a relationship is something i want.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

3/10. I'd probably be a 7/10 if I weren't 5'5".

It has only affected my dating life. I've never been in a relationship and I'm still a virgin at 20 years old.

Pretty much the only girls that appear to be clearly into me are at or below highschool age.

[–]wtknightHardcore Romantic2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'd say I'm a 7 to women who like a cute look and a 5 to women who like a more masculine look. I don't do well attracting women who want a more masculine look, so I do better with women who like a cute look more.

I'm only average height too, and any woman my height or taller has never been attracted to me.

Hard to say. Depends on my health at that time.

I think between 5.5-6 for my age group (36) usually. In phases where my health is bad it can drop far below. When I feel really good, it could go up to about 6.5 and when I am superlucky maybe even to 7.

I was looking better in my 20s, (still about only a 6-6.5 for that age group) but somehow, women seem to find me more attractive (or less unattractive) now that I am in my thirties.

I am not good-looking, but most people let themselves go and that helps me. And I am 6' and about 170lbs.

How has it affected my life? In my teens, I was ugly and it was terrible.

After years of working out, dressing better and getting a makeover at age 22, it changed and it was great. Soon had my first LTR.

After that thanks to health problems, looks went down and I had the feeling that it was "neutral". Looks didn't work for me, but they also didn't work against me. Like my looks weren't a dealbreaker, but I had to throw in far more personality wise to get girls interested in me. My betaness held me back more than my looks.

EDIT: Was in da club a few hours ago. Didn't get IoIs (indicators of interest). Must be wose than I thought. Sad.

I'm a 2 out of 10. I give myself a half a point for being smart, and a half of a point for having everything in their right place.

6' 330. (5'10" 225lbs at the age of 13, add 10 pounds every year thereafter till 18, then I stalled, but now I'm old) When I am really in shape I get down to about 280. (think a slightly larger Keven Owens, but slightly smaller Warren Sapp body type... aka somewhat normal except for a big huge gut)

Despite my size I was a great athlete in high school. I made two all star teams. I'm your not very typical deceptively in shape fat guy. It is kinda like being fat and getting all the bad stuff that comes with being fat, like looking fat, but being able to outrun nearly everyone half your weight. So I laugh when people tell me to workout. I don't get thinner, I just get more athletic with none of the benefits of looking good.

My athletic prowess didn't earn me a single date in high school. I hung out with the middle-lower popular crowd but I was friends with the upper popular crowd because of sports, including the upperclassmen teammates. I didn't go to any of my proms.

college was no better, was an outcast, so I quit. Met a girl online, moved half the US away. First Sex. Married, had a kid, she cheated on me, divorced me. 10 years wasted. Now I'm back at home. Worked my life away for ex, wasn't good enough. Quit working after divorce because sadness. My ex dates a guy who makes like 4 times what I did when we were together. I have to watch my son drive away in his expensive truck when one time a year I get to see him.

Haven't done much since (8 years since the divorce), but read a lot. I had a couple of "relationships" with women who picked me. (Never dated a woman under 225lbs btw) Never lasted more than a month because despite my intelligence they realize I'm a loser.

Women have always given me a wide birth. The few women who were interested in me I've had no problem picking up the hints, but they are very few and far between. Now I've pretty much given up.

Just basically waiting to die now. Hoping to help those like me who are in the same position but a lot younger. Point out the problems with society and dating right now. Hope my kid is happy.

5/10. Only 5'8", narrow shoulders, tiny wrists/ankles. Face is alright, as I'm called cute a lot although everyone assumes I'm in my early 20s if I shave, when I'm 31. Dope-ass beard saves the day. Brown skin, bald. Only effects have been dating and basketball. It pushed me to excel at everything as my Chad friends dominated athletics and had the hottest girls on tap. Got just as good as them in pretty much everything, only to find out looks do matter a great deal. Been depressing lately as I realized my dreams of marriage/kids probably won't happen.

Don't really know- but sadly I gained a LOT of weight from suicidal eating for 30 years due to the mix of sexual bullying and gaslighting, amilifed by Team Dworkin/Brennan..

I get a cumulative rating of 8.5 on ilikeyou, but the mix of mobility and Asperger burnout took its toll...

I'm 5ft 11.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'll say 6/10 just because I'm not fat and fat is average nowadays. But overall in terms of my physical traits I got nothing special. All pretty bang on average when you leave weight out of it imo.

How's it affected my life? I'm sure I get treated better than I would if I was below average. I also think it puts me in a position of control. I can either be virtually invisible or do really well depending on how social I feel on any particular day. I find that nice and comforting personally because my success is limited only by the actions I choose to take.

It feels pretty ideal to me because I'd obviously hate to be ugly but at the same time I'd also hate to be overly attractive and get showered with attention all the time. I feel like I can dip in and out of socialising depending on my mood which is ideal.

I'm 30 and I would rate myself as a 6 or 6.5 primarily because of my height. (5'4) Knock it down lower for not making that money per year.

How has it affected me? Well I've probably lost a lot of opportunities with attractive women, punched below my weight dating wise, and talked myself out of a lot social situations.

These days I'm trying to get on that positivity/masculine energy/confident tip but apparently reprogramming your brain is difficult.

Kinda just overloading myself with activities to completely avoid dating though...

3/10 subhuman checking in. It has made me friendless, incel, depressed and suicidal.

Why do you mention General Zod? Is he a sex symbol?

9 or 10

I Keep getting compared to an extremely handsome Hollywood actor (My Dad's extremely good looking. So, thanks Dad)

How has it affected my life?

Pros

1) I've never been mistreated by a girl/woman so far. I've had a few instances where an average looking guy would have probably got into trouble with a girl but was able to get away based solely on my looks.

2) Up until my mid teens i wasn't always confident. But, after seeing the way people treat me, my confidence went on to an entirely different level. Be it in the neighbourhood, school, college people are extremely warm while interacting and i dare say that i've received special treatment almost from all walks of my life so far.

3) Don't need to get into a relationship to get laid. I can get laid anytime i want even at a short notice of a few minutes.

4) I'm an extreme introvert and a nerd at heart (IQ around 140). A few of my friends who are nerds and average looking find it almost impossible to be successful with girls and if not for my looks, i'm sure i'd be the same. I'm extremely boring to be honest.

Cons

1) I can afford to be extremely picky with the girls and this has led me into some trouble. Often, a girl would make it absolutely clear that she's extremely interested in me. If i don't find her attractive, i don't make a move and even have to stop her advances. Some girls find this extremely offensive and start crying or worse, start to spread negative rumours about me.

2) Getting hit on by Gays. I find it extremely uncomfortable.

3) Some guys will be total jerks due to jealousy. I kind of understand why they might act that way but still it's extremely stupid.

Yes, around 140. 138 to be exact which would put me in the top 1.5% at the very least. You probably missed the part where i said "I'm extremely boring" after i mentioned my IQ. A high IQ comes along with some undesirable qualities as well and trust me i'd love to have my IQ lowered a bit.

Well you'll have to excuse my skepticism, I've seen some pretty rediculous iq claims on this site, reddit is pretty convinced it has an average iq of aprox 160 to 170, lol
