I think there should be a statement or two. "Girls, changing your mind afterward does not mean that the sex was nonconsensual. It was not rape. The word rape is powerful, as it should be, you have some responsibility here. Be very sure before you have sex."

Within limits. After all, informing guys that psycho girls really are trouble doesn't hurt. On the other hand, the problem with false or presumably false rape accusations is that the stats reflect the shortcomings of any investigation on that subject. The thing is that the largest group of presumably false accusers are girls who are (a) young and (b) dumb. Young is a problem for young boys because that's their target demographic. Dumb is a problem because this is more because smart girls avoid contradicting themselves, hence are less likely to be discovered.

But if guys get an idea that false rape accusations aren't just something totally outlandish that never happens and that rape accusations shouldn't be considered true by default because "women wouldn't do such a thing" (since they are wonderful), that would already be a step forward.

Until false accusations are treated like they actually exist, I don't think there is a point. They'll just recite the 2-10% lie and then move on to say another lie like "but those cases don't matter because only 10% of instances are reported".

We first need to make false allegations a felony carrying a longer sentence than the crime they are alleging. Then can teach about it in school.

Definitely. When teaching "what counts as rape", it would be really easy to add why consensual but unwanted sex, while a mistake, does not, further emphasizing the critical importance of consent and why it should only be given if the gal is serious. Add a point about how false rape accusations hurt people, and not just the accused men - most of all real rape victims.

I'm not sure about what kind of person is most likely to accuse someone of a false rape accusation, the stats on it seem pretty low so it's hard to figure it out. I think I'd put it in simply to bring up the effect it can have on people going forward, because people like red pillers and the like will call bullshit on every rape accusation and there has been a history of cops and the general public not believing rape victims anyway, and the small amount of false rape accusations simply helps perpetuate that further in society.

Sex education should be nothing more and nothing less than how to have sex and the many horrible STDs you can get from it, preferably with high definition videos showing exactly what those STDs entail. If you're going to discuss that sort of thing it should be left to PSE (Personal and Social Education class, which we had as part of form class and I think would be a good thing to introduce in places where it's not already run.) We didn't even mention rape itself in any of our sex ed classes, it would feel damn weird to have false rape accusations mixed in there.

That said, I don't think it's prevalent enough to bring up specifically (as in in its own class,) though you could include it in classes on general personal responsibility and crime prevention, which would be a good class to have given that there are bad things that can happen to you beyond just false rape accusations.

Sex ed should be left to the community, if they want it and what it should include. I'm a bit torn on the topic, but I'd prefer to give the parents control over what values and ideas on sex their kids pick up.

If you are to have a more detailed sex ed class, I think a section on rape in general should be included. Teaching men to respect boundaries, teaching women to voice them, and what is and isn't rape.

It is silly to expect sex ed to focus in depth on one particular rare form of sexual misbehavior when currently it barely covers the fact that misbehavior of any sort happens at all.

What is a false rape accusation and what kind of punishments there are for doing so.

Idk about this, it would be kind of dangerous to arm young women with the knowledge they can falsely accuse a dude and skate away consequence free.

Personally, i'd like a good lesson or three on smashing through LMR to be a mandatory part of sex ed.

Worrying about an insignificant miniscule of a percentage of "false rape accusations" is a waste of time along with a waste of tax dollars. Teaching consent and telling girls that it's ok to be more assertive sexually is a more proactive idea. Besides what is a false rape accusations? The perpetrator saying they didn't do it? The guilty don't tend to confess to their crimes.

If you mean we should include consent as part of sex education than sure. Maybe not for the younger kids but certainly for the older kids it makes sense.

I don't think it would be appropriate until late in a young person's life at best. That would be, at best, senior year stuff. Not to mention, you can't reliably teach two and three since neither of them is properly documented fact.

Not any more than any other discussion on the law should discuss false accusations of other crimes -- which as far as I know is close to zero.

It's common sense that you don't lie to police and you definitely don't lie to create a whole story & sign a written statement. A liar knows they're telling lies. I don't think we need to teach that lying to authorities has consequences.

If you're worried about what to teach teens to prevent a future rape arrest, I feel the biggest thing is a clear talk about what consent is or isn't. I read the women's discussion sub /r/twoxchromosomes and I see young women who truly do not understand what rape is. For example one young lady was asking for advice on terminating an unwanted pregnancy caused by her boyfriend screwing her when she was asleep and she didn't realize what he did was rape. How do young people not realize sex with an unconscious person is wrong?

PPD can't even agree on false rape statistics. And even then I do not see them as a significant number.

And it does not seem like education about sex, more about the justice system. Does not belong in that setting. Sex ed is human physiology.

Certainly fathers should be on to this and giving their boys some practical advice. . at least those that have not been divorce raped and reduced to beta cuck status.
