Middle aged creeps started paying attention to me when I was 11, I was groped by a 30 something year old man at an amusement park when I was 12, I started to notice and want attention from my peers when I was 14, I finally got my girl game together at 16 and attracted my peers plus dudes in their early 20's, from 18 until now (35) the type of men that pay attention to me are my age peers +15 years.

Although this past summer a 15 year old boy legit tried pick me up while I was at the park... with my son. 😂

Despite all the finger wagging from terps sexual/romantic attention from attractive dudes hasn't diminished at all, however sexual harassment from creeps fell off a cliff after 25.

🤔 Hmm what a curious coincidence; I think the venn diagram of men who state the wall is 25 and men who sexually harass women is pretty close to a circle.

I was about 6 and at a wedding reception with my mother when a nice middle-aged man began to pay me a LOT of attention! No man had ever taken an interest in me before so this was pretty cool, from my perspective. I would have been putty in this man's hands ... but someone evidently took my mother aside (she was busy socializing with the other adults) and clued her in, whereupon she reined me in. As I recall, I was very upset to be parted from my newfound 'friend,' and she wasn't happy that her fun also had been ruined as she had to keep an eye on me instead of drinking and dancing.

I was about 10 when a pervert started calling our house and telling my mother how much he enjoyed watching me walk to school. Adolescence was filled with the usual incidents -- men in cars exposing themselves, a cook at the restaurant where I worked trying to grope me in the cooler, a boss calling me into his office, pulling me onto his lap and promising to put a little extra in my pay envelope because 'business was slow.'

Beyond my mid-20's, I was usually the boss wherever I worked, so I no longer had to put up with this shit. There was one time in my early 30s that I had a skeevy publisher who invited me to lunch and seemed disappointed when I kept the conversation strictly on business matters. Later I heard he was having an affair with another staffer so I figured yup, he was probably fishing!

I'm old now and the only one who gropes me now is my boyfriend! But that doesn't count 'cause I like him, lol.

I guess middle school but it was more the mean kind of sexual harassment that boys do to ugly girls where they say "Hey my friend likes you, he wants to ask you out" as a way to embarrass said friend. I'm not sure if that even counts.

I guess other than that I started to get it when I started waiting tables at 15/16.

I've never really experienced cat calling or the random comments or groping from strangers in broad daylight that are apparently so prevalent. I think this is because I've never really lived in places with a lot of pedestrian traffic, and because of the way I carry myself (no eye contact, closed-off body language). But idk. Not saying it doesn't happen but it's just never been a problem for me personally. Other than guys acting like idiots in bars and such but that's to be expected.

I was molested by a family member.....pretty much all of my life really, as far back as I can remember until about age 9, when I was old enough to know it was wrong. I bit the shit out of him and he stopped, besides I think I aged out. I found out as an adult he had started with my older brother, and he probably already moved on to my little brother who is almost 7 years younger. :(

At 13 a guy who I babysat for would hit on me when driving me home, he offered to teach me how to get boyfriends and make them happy. A grown man also tried to pick me up on a train in Germany at age 13, my great uncle intervened.

I’ve certainly been harassed since then, but as an adult I felt much more confident in shutting that shit down and moving on

Groped by a male teacher. Thankfully my mother listened to me, and took it up with the school. They couldn’t remove him, but he kept away from me after that.

Around 11 the street harassment, cat calls and random grabbing started. What sort of a creep does this to a schoolgirl in uniform? London was one big creep fest some days.

At 12-13, I used to get cat called while waiting at the buss stop from my Jr. High. By highschool i had cars following and even pulling onto the curb to ask me for rides. I left parties at ages 18-20 because men dancing with me would attempt to grope me, even lifting me off the ground to do it. I had a stalker for a while who would send me pictures of my home and self and tell me he'd tell me who he was in exchange for nudes (turned out it was a kid i knew back in GRADE school and I didn't send him nudes, just told him I was going to the cops). I had guys try and get me drunk and lure me away a couple times.

I'd say it started at 12 and ramped up at around 17 and calmed down a bit at 25ish after i stopped hanging out in social situations or around strangers as much. I always find it funny EVERY single woman will have at least one minor story here but NONE of the men on this sub will know someone whose been the assailant. Go figure.

When I was 14 I went to a rehearsal dinner for a wedding at a biker bar (my grandfather is a little weird) and I got a lot of attention from old men in leather jackets. I’ve been cat called, groped, and harassed my whole life. It has slowed down but mostly because I don’t go out that much anymore and I don’t work at restaurants anymore. My coworkers were always bad and patrons would be creepy as well.

I never was sexually-harassed all that much. Like, it's happened a handful of times, but men have been pretty decent for the most part. (Also 'foids? really? I don't like that shit. I feel way more disrespected by this post than by the vast majority of men I've encountered. Why you trying to take-back incel shit? Let 'em have it).

Boys started noticing me at around age 13/14. First boyfriend at 14. That happened as a result of a bunch of note passing and friends orchestrating it. The whole thing was very silly. I should also note age 14 is when I cut of my super long hair and took on a pixie cut. I also switched from very feminine floor-length dresses, floral prints, and pearl necklaces to shopping exclusively at Hot Topic. I died my hair blue and got my eyebrow pierced.

Guys started approaching me to flirt and ask me out at age 15. My style became slightly more masculine around this time. My pixie cut became a buzz cut and I started wearing my stepdad's clothes to school.

Male attention amped up more around ages 16/17. At this point my style was still very masculine, but I wore low cut tank-tops with flannel shirts and girl's jeans. A touch of femininity to my style. My hair was still very short. I cut my two tongue piercings at this time.

Also had my one girlfriend at this time. Obviously dressing the way I did I got a lot of attention from females too (people assumed I was gay) and I was just sort of like...ehh..when in Rome. Let's try it out.

Started growing my hair out at age 18. Got a lot more male attention then. My style became more androgynous than masculine. More conventionally attractive males started approaching me. Not really my type, but I gave one of them a shot. It was a huge mistake.

All of this male attention was fine by me. Not harassment at all. Men are allowed to signal interest.

Ages 18 and 19, I did have a couple of guys I worked with harass me. One would come up to me at work and make weird comments like "Your ass looks so good today." Another sent me a slew of messages over Myspace messenger asking for nudes.

Then years later, when I was 28, I had this muscle-head gym guy I worked with harass me. He started making a lot of comments about my body. Telling me I had a good figure-I was good-looking, etc. When I brushed him off, he weirdly started negging me. He would make comments like "Oh, you look like you're putting on weight" and "Wow, your face is really breaking out. Lay off the junk food!"

Then he found out I was married to a short, fat guy and I don't think his ego could handle that. I've had it happen before, where tall muscley guys try to flirt with me after they find out I'm with a guy who isn't conventionally attractive. I think I'm seen as out of my husband's league and it like messes with dudes' sense of reality that I'm not just waiting for some Chad to come steal me away.

Anyhow, then he kept making all these rude comments about my husband's body. I told him to stop. He didn't. I reported him to management and THEN he finally left me alone.

So yeah, I have a couple of instances of harassment. I probably forgot a couple other small ones. For the most part though, it hasn't been a constant issue in my life. I was always pretty receptive of male attention and most men are decent and will back off if you tell them you're not interested. Only a small percentage of creeps that get off on weirding women out.

Edit: I didn't count online harassment. Dudes be mad creepy on the interweb. I guess I'd say that kicked off around age 16.

I don’t remember my exact age but it was probably around 9-10. I was in the library and this old man sat across from me and it was a little weird. Then this lady came up to me and asked me to help her with her laptop upstairs. I followed her upstairs to help her with her laptop and when I got there she told me that the guy across from me was drawing me naked and I needed to get away from him. I looked at what he was drawing when I walked back to get my stuff and yup it was me naked. I didn’t understand it at the time but looking back I was in a lot of danger. My dad used to leave me at the library all the time so those pedos probably noticed I was there alone a lot.

When I was 5-6, my dad was holding me at our local fair and a random guy came up behind me and put his cigarette out on my back. I distinctly remember turning around to look at him and he gave me this really creepy perv grin while flicking his tongue. My dad passed me to my mom and promptly beat him to near death when he realized what had happened.

Up until the age of 13, I had some other experiences with men trying to lure me to their cars, leering at me at the park and then following me home, etc. Once I hit puberty (my fat and ugly phase) I became invisible, which was honestly a relief compared to everything I had experienced as a young girl. But once I lost the weight as an older teenager, the sexual harassment came back.

I'm sure I have been sexually harassed IRL, but I don't remember it lol. I don't really count stuff like being yelled at from a car or whatever, though. If you count that, probably 14 or 15. I don't even live in a good neighborhood. Idk if my experiences are an outlier or if I'm just lucky or what. I don't worry about harassment, I do worry about sex trafficking though. My area is known for it, I ALWAYS get skeeved out whenever anyone makes eye contact with me in a crowd and tries to approach me. I've seen on the news and from friends that those recruiters can be old couples, young women, young and attractive guys, it's a scary world sometimes.
