Are you serious? Men and women are from the same species, there aren't that many differences between us.

Most people have their ideas about what is moral and what is not, just not everyone thinks that their actions should be in line with their morals too. It's true both for men and women. It also takes some efforts to see your own hypocrisy and a lot of people prefer not to do it.

Personally, I have a set of "rules" that I apply to myself. The Golden Rule describes it best. Treat others the way you want to be treated. I also like the concept of categorical imperative:

Act only according to that maxim whereby you can, at the same time, will that it should become a universal law.

I can't say that I always act accordingly, but I try to keep it in mind.

Yes, I feel guilty if I wrong someone, it what most people with at least a bit of empathy feel.

My assessment of empathy/morality in others isn't conditional on whether or not they're willing to fuck me. I feel like that's a good place to start.

Women lack empathy? I think it's pretty common knowledge that women are the more sympathetic/empathetic of the sexes. And yes, I value morality very highly. Is this just a shitpost?

It's been said many times that while men have values and morals, many women do not. It's been said that women lack empathy. I've heard the lack of empathy is a survival trait women have to do whatever it takes for her and her child to survive no matter the expense of the man.

If you can honestly say this knowing 90% of all violent and other crimes are committed by men, you are certifiably delusional.

Studies show that women are more empathic than men. Most people do have values and morals, they’re just not the same across the board. Like men on here seem to think women rejecting him is immoral and a sign that a woman doesn’t have values when it’s just... a lack of attraction? Nothing immoral about that.

Do I think women place their child’s wellbeing above anyone else’s including their husbands? Absolutely. As it should be. My mother and father have a wonderful marriage but if my mum had to sacrifice my dad to save me or my siblings she wouldn’t even think twice. To be fair, my dad would do the same to her. Children should come first.

I feel guilty about wronging people to a fault. Most women do. That’s why those movements came out telling women to start putting themselves first and stop apologising for everything, to not be so agreeable when things feel wrong to avoid hurting peoples feelings, to learn how to draw boundaries to protect themselves... the nurturing, softer nature of women as well as most of our upbringings means that we’ve generally been taught to put other people’s needs above our own and give everyone a benefit of the doubt and provide support and care for people in need. That’s empathy.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve realised that I can’t do right by everyone and the best I can do is not harm people intentionally, help where I can, and take care of myself before I take care of other people (with the exception of siblings and young cousins who I feel a maternal instinct of protection towards - they come before my wellbeing).

Do I have morals - I like to believe I have. Does it mean I never did anything wrong? No. But I always tried to learn from my mistakes and better myself. I am not harming anyone on purpose, I try to understand other people. I never was angry even at my abusers, as I aways thought it is better fo me to be in pain, if only it could spaer other peopole from expirencing what I have.
But I do not feel superior. I am a mortal like any other person, with my flaws.
Wrong is anythng harming directly or indirectly another human. Good is anything that does not harm.

Morality isn't objective. Even philosophers disagree on "right" and "wrong". A Catholic virtue ethicist and a Bentham-style utilitarian will have very different takes on what the "right thing to do" is in a given scenario.

Many of the men here who talk about "morality" are referring to a very specific moral code they personally admire, and view anyone who doesn't agree with that code as completely amoral. It's like a gang of Seventh-Day Adventists who believe everyone is either a member of their church or an atheist.

There's also a trend among internet misogynists to dismiss any display of empathy or a personal moral code as "virtue signaling."

Ever since Pandora men have been blaming women for the evil in the world when men do 90% of the crime. As men get most of the APD diagnoses, women are diagnosed far more frequently with BPD, but the symptoms of BPD align with the symptoms of traumatic abuse. This is no coincidence.

Humans all have the capacity to be awful but men are moreso by far.

Not only do I have morals and argue that all humans have a moral compass and the capacity to follow it, this is probably one of the single most insulting concepts the manosphere has carried a torch for IMO.

I often feel guilt and shame, you can see this because I'm one of those constant apologizers (working to fix because it's annoying). I don't say "sorry" to avoid conflict, I say it because I acknowledge I might not be taking another's perspective into consideration. Just one concrete example.

Another concrete example: I practice respect for all life, even down to avoiding killing even the smallest creatures like roaches and spiders if at all possible. I practice and teach gratitude for everything I consume.

I'm pretty sure I process right and wrong the same way men do. I consider how my actions affect my happiness and well-being versus the happiness and well-being of those around me and attempt to make the decisions that increase as many people's as possible, sometimes at the expense of my own.

Of course! I think morality is part of human nature. I recall having morals as a child, even if I lacked the words and the ability to conceptualize it. I don’t think morality is necessarily a cosmic truth—the universe doesn’t care about morals. However, our evolution favored humans with the ability to have morals because it is beneficial to our survival.

Personally yes. I feel guilt for wronging someone. Something is wrong if it causes harm and right if it doesn’t. However there’s some situations where you need to harm to protect yourself. Those are an exception that I don’t consider to be wrong.
