My attraction is 100% visual. I can get 100% horny just from an image or video. Other stimuli may get me over that line. (100% being the line where I am horny enough to actively look for the next chance to have sex and create such chance)

In my opinion rape is rarely about lust. But I am not an expert in the psychology of rapists so how could I know? All I know is that I have been horny in my life but never horny enough to even consider raping anyone. I don't think I can be horny enough to betray my own principles and moral codes.

It gets worse. I didn't masturbate for a month and started to get sex dreams everyday and a huge mess in my pants when I woke up. Masturbation is like a release valve, it helps release the pressure. Porn is bad, because it is psychologically telling you that other men are having sex while you are not, which indicates you are practically at the bottom of male hierarchy. We all measure misery relatively.

Not always. IMO most rape is result of extremely poor impulse control. There are men who hate or lust after women more than your average rapists, they just don't because they have good impulse control and can make the moral choice inspite of strong biological instigation.

I would say looking at something can get him to at LEAST an 8/10 for men. If you combine that with touch he'd be at a 10/10 quite easily.

Guys LOVE the female body. He loves the way she walks, her smile, how she blinks, her hair, her hands, her voice, etc. A man will be attracted to 30 things about that girl and she also has no idea why. To her, she probably mainly notices her flaws or insecurities but the guy is turned on by that very thing.

This is not something he can help... he's wired that way. Many guys fight this daily. It's a fkin war with himself. You know the feeling when you're extremely hungry and your stomach is growling? So hungry that your fingers are shaking? It's like that but the ONLY way to cure it is sex. But he doesn't want to act on it because it's weird, creepy, and "desperate."

Or when you've been working or hiking for 10 hours and you're extremely sweaty and sticky? You crave that nice long shower and jump into bed? It's like being stuck sweaty and sticky, no shower for you.

He's not allowed to feel these things. Some guys are good at controlling his urge. Some aren't. I don't think it's something that will just go away if the man is healthy. I think it's possible if the guy is unhealthy and sick. Biologically a healthy human male is naturally supposed to have a high sex drive and energy and desire to procreate. I'm sure there are techniques and medication to change that but I don't think it's healthy to suppress it.

I can't speak for every guy but it's not really a scale of horny so much as I find another person visibly attractive. I can look at a guy or girl and say to myself, "This person is attractive, (if were talking pure physical attraction) this is a person I could sleep with". It doesn't mean I want or attempt to sleep with that person, it just means that they are someone to whom physical attraction wouldn't be a problem if I wanted to sleep with them.

And I'm not horny all of a sudden because a person is just attractive, seeing a hot guy or girl doesn't give me an insta boner, I may be a little aroused but not because of the pure visual stimulus but usually because I'm imagining a sexy scenario with that person.

I've gotten nudes sent to me and I've even bathed in the nude with some friends, when I'm not in the mood and things are platonic my (internal) reaction is usually just "okay" because I'm not thinking of anything in sexual context.

Something that is likely better to get me in the mood when I'm not already is non-nude sexting and/or dirty talk, it gets the gears turning, and when I'm already in a horny state of mind that's when normal things start to get more stimulating sexually speaking. If I'm already horny, just hugging my partner is enough to get me aroused. If I'm hugging an attractive friend I wouldn't get aroused.

Arousal is multifaceted for guys and girls. If I was making a broad generalization (which I don't like doing) I think that first step in getting into that sexual mindset is one that may be easier or more secondhand for guys. Some girls (and some guys too) need security, trust, and commitment before they're able to get into a sexual mindset (which is totally valid) when they do it's much easier for them to get aroused by their partner even when they aren't doing things overtly sexually.

Im my opinion neither. It's a terrible and awful thing to do to a person that likely may be motivated by lust and hate (and a plethora of other feelings and motivations) but isn't something that can justified by either. To me it's just a crime.

No not really, I'm just a horny person, if I stop masturbating, I'm just gonna be horny more often. It's not something impossible to handle and there wouldn't be any significant change to my life or mood if I stopped but I see no reason to. I get horny, I masturbate or have sex, life goes on. Same with my fwb, she gets horny, she either has sex or masturbates, and then goes on with her day.

And, it's interesting you bring it up, because there were times when I felt turned off by very attractive women taking their clothes off. I was turned on when she was in lingerie, but as soon as it came off, I became less turned on. The mystery was kinda gone.

I mean, I would explain it like hunger. I can walk around a food court all day, if I wasn't hungry, an amazing looking dish might make me hungry, but eventually, I'm going to get hungry anyway. The act of eating itself doesn't make me hungry, but looking at food often times does. How hungry I am depends on when the last time I ate was. But, it's not like not being surrounded means I'm going to not get hungry. I'm going to get hungry regardless, and maybe if I'm hungry enough I"ll eat something I don't like.

I don't know if that makes sense. When it comes to sex, seeing attractive women turns me on. If I don't have sex or jerk off, that "being turned on" doesn't go away. It doesn't stop existing.

I think rape is an act of desperation and lust more than it is an act of hate. At some point, porn doesn't cut it, and, well, like I said, it doesn't just "go away".

Speaking for myself it’s 100% visual. I can go from 1-10 in an instant from a picture or a video or anything. I can just be going about my day as usual as well but as soon as I see something like that it’s pretty quick. That also a lot of the time results in me feeling pretty guilty and gross. That instant horniness has gotten more under control now because I’m in a relationship where I do have a very healthy and fulfilling sex life, but still like if my girlfriend shows me any part of her or I see her in wearing something more revealing I’m ready to go in a minute. Its 100% out of our control whether we are turned on and distracted by this kind of stuff. It is in our control how we act on that of course. I think this probably contributes to why men often may come off as the hornier sex even though that isn’t the case, it’s just that we live in a flashy visual world where sex is commercialized and men are surrounded by visually stimulating things. This doesn’t excuse things like rape, sexual assault, stalkers or anything like that. That isn’t male sexuality that is purely based on the individuals choices. I’ve never ever once felt like doing anything when I see something sexy, I usually just sit and wait for it to eventually go way and I’m pretty sure that’s most guys. The ballsier or more confident guys may make a move like flirting but that’s probably the extent of it most times. I also find that if I try not to think about sex or masturbating somehow it becomes more and more prominent in my thinking, but that’s also just me.

That can happen to guys too, but it takes a lot longer and you will think that you have it beat and then all of a sudden it will come back with a vengeance. Honestly, it's harder than dieting and it's really not even close.

To answer your question: I think most men use porn to add some visual stimulation to the wanking process. For a small segment of men, there are "field reports" that porn has resulted in things ranging from addiction, erectile dysfunction, and having difficulty seeing 'non-porn' women (fat girlfriends) attractive. There MAY be some corollary between a psycho-the-rapist and seeing pornographic imagery (especially stuff violent in nature) and him having worsening problems with raping and/or killing people. I'd LOVE to read any studies on that subject, actually. According to feminists, all men who view any porn will go from fantasising about rape, to actual rape, to paedophile rape, to cannibalism... to...

Trust me. Porn doesn't do that. In my case, I used to like porn and even turned to it after the sex in marriage went buh-bye (I didn't try at ALL to fix THAT, really) but after I was divorced I kind of just got BORED with porn and the "more extreme" stuff didn't interest me at all. So, anecdotally, my porn use didn't progress to rape and murder. Maybe the feminists are right and I'm just a rare exception to the rule and 9/10 men are going to become raping sex-killers and paedophiles soon.

The sad reality is that most paedophiles seem to come from homes where they themselves were victims of childhood sexual abuse, especially where men prey on young boys.
