I think I'm speaking for most women here when I say that we tried this. We gave it a go. We didn't worry about the long-term in the beginning so much. We slept with him too early. We made excuses for him when he didn't reply to our texts. We remained relaxed despite his red flags. We put on a fun, carefree persona while being desperately anxious inside. Did any of that ever lead to a relationship? Probably a few times, but for the vast majority, no. *This doesn't work for us.*
