I’m not black, but growing up in poor neighborhoods is enough TRP evidence to last a lifetime. The neighborhoods I grew up in encompass most races, and of all the races, black women are the hardest hit when it comes to absent fathers. As a white dude, you couldn’t pay me millions to say this… it has to come from a black dude. He’s the alternate voice of hard truths for a community that is the most effected by the destruction of the nuclear family. I mean he’s radical and I don’t believe in everything he says… but the “it’s all ok, you’re doing nothing wrong” victim justification does fuck all for fixing the core issue.

I digress. I’m Black American. So is he. I don’t think his aim is to be a Red Piller. He’s having the same convos our culture has had in the hair salons and barbershops. Our culture has never shied away from these topics. These aren’t “corner of the deep webs” topics for us. He also sounds like every other Black American podcast discussing relationships except he has no issue “going in” on his callers which makes for entertainment.

He’s a Black American man speaking to the most romantically dysfunctional subset of our population. His most popular videos are him going off on delusional women. He used to go off on delusional men more, but because his biggest demo is delusional men, he gets more engagements when he focuses on the delusional women.

He’s smart. He’s going where the clicks reside. He’s popular because he’s entertaining and because he is able to cross-market with other very popular “non-manospherian” Black American media. That and he’s able to go viral on the Black American frequented side of Twitter which essentially leads to going viral on all of Twitter. He also appeals to men who believe comporting like the Dos Equis man equals “High Value,” whatever “High Value” means to Kevin and his listeners.

Edit: when I say “Black American” I am NOT discussing “race” or “skin color” or “phenotype.” I am discussing a cultural subset, in the same way someone may discuss Irish or Greek or Jamaican or Bible Belt “culture.” Black American culture is a specific ethnicity that encompasses everyone from Marian Anderson and Paul Robeson to Flava Flav and Suge Knight to Miles Davis and Whitney M. Young to Ursula Burns and Jessica B. Harris.

Kevin Samuels is not red pilled. He's more of a man trying to fix the dysfunction in the black community. Black people could be said to be too red-pilled for their own good and they need a bit of blue-pilling to be thrown into the mix for the sake of stability. Most black women employ the 80/20 rule on steroids and most black men are so alpha that they can come off as uncivilized. That's where Kevin Samuels is coming in, telling black women to tone down their 80/20 and settle down with average guys, and also telling black men to become rich and marry. Those are both blue pills for men and women.

Why is he going viral? Because bashing women for having standards when they're not 10s themselves is trendy right now. It taps into schadenfreude.

I watched some of his videos interviewing some women. The guy made me a little bit confuse.
"People" around say he is Redpill and I agree when he is talking about attraction and intersexual dynamics. He have redpill views.

Ok. I get it... He makes money out dating advice and attraction because this is what people want to see.

I think he is popular because of his strong posture in his show, how he deals with women, some men project this into him because that is not what they are in real life.

With women, because they want to attract better men and he got the right views about this.

BUUUTTT when he talks about marriage, this guy just ignores the dynamic between marriage, laws and the market.

Kevin Samuels doesn't speak to high value men, he speaks to scorned low value men that think they're high value men, that's the appeal. I don't have an issue with him but it's pretty clear that he's pandering to the lowest common denominator among men, i.e., men scorned by so-called low-value women(and women in general?), men that want to see these women "put in their place". Take a look at the comments on his videos and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I don't know of a single high value male that listens to him, and honestly why would they?

The advice he gives is good though, and I really like the videos he used to make for men trying to improve themselves.

Great work ethic: KS consistently puts out content every day and on Youtube consistent content creators are kings see tim pool 5 videos a day.

Great production quality: KS has improved his production quality consistently from his shitty overexposed lighting to his dark and cosy set up with ambient lighting LEDs, desk toys to break the monotony of staring at his face and great background music. the money works song is brilliant and most people dont even mind the break when the song comes up.

Streaming time: KS audience was mainly older black men and women who got off from work and now spend time during quarantine watching Youtube. A lot of content creators blew up due to covid, he streams at 10 to 12 when they can engage with him.

Running gags: you can expect the same sound board, running jokes and character. makes you more likely to return.

KEVIN SAMUELS: KS is a great debater, orator and also highly charismatic. understandable considering he is a sales guy. He is extremely presentable with a great sense of style and image, great suit and well groomed hair. looks matter as the Black pillars say.

Because Kevin Samuels is being a Father figure to many black men and women through his work. Never has the black community had a figure since the late Malcolm X or MLK.

When you compare him to other black leaders/ creators etc Such as Dr Umar, Derrick Jackson etc they are often pandering to Black women which has left many black men with no real role models hence the hype for Kevin Samuels has strongly grown.

Not only does he address Black Women and there issues he mentors black men and was doing so before the fame.

Which meant many black men finally have a father figure in the media to represent them much more formally and without pandering to women.

That’s why he gets hate because many black women and men are not used to that but slowly people are accepting the change in narrative.

I‘m white and from Germany and I like to watch his videos/broadcast every now and then, because it’s quite entertaining how he puts delusional women in their place and talks about controversial things like dating single mothers, beauty standards etc.

His activity on social media and yt made him grow quite fast. He broadcasts almost every day and has a very professional set up. He also uses clickbaitish and provocative titles and has these comical sound effects and running gags. I think that many women don’t like what he says and controversy gains clicks.

Kevin Samuels is as much a traditionalist as he is a TRPer. Sure, he draws from TRP when it is useful, but he's also drawing from other sources.

Kevin's ultimate problem is that he is too focused on power. There's no spiritual side to worldview, and that is a fatal flaw. He also is a little too conservative, without giving enough room to consider that some aspects of gender relations must be updated due to technological changes.

But in terms of tactics--if you want this in this world, how do you get it--he isn't bad. He has stuff to say.

I think what made KS blow up is giving actual insight on how women think about men from their own mouths.

For me — I just needed to see it for myself. Removing the veil was both elucidating and cathartic.

I just do a lot of things differently now. I am so thankful I am a man and have more time to get what I want in this world.

I think the videos on male self-improvement having low views is kinda a good thing. He literally gives away competitive advantages and many men are too lazy to just sit through and internalize it.

He’s not immune from negative feedback. No one is. People have dug up everything about his past and aired out all of his “low value” history. All of those posts go viral.

He hasn’t been “cancelled” because he doesn’t have a 9-5 job. He can’t be “cancelled” from his own home studio. He just pushes upload and keeps going.

If anyone has been successfully “canceled” it’s not because of Twitter. It’s because people already weren’t supporting their stuff anyway. People with fans don’t get “cancelled.” Taylor Swift and Kanye West have both had respective viral critique. They’re both still very popular because their fans don’t care and have never cared.
