You usually never see a group of women hanging out late at night unless it's at a private party. And with men, you usually only see it in plain bars where they're playing darts or pool.

The exception to this being those flashy nightclubs. I don't even consider these places a legitimate establishment. It's too crowded, too 9 to 5, too 'instagram', etc...

Apart from this place, random dive bars, and the private party, do these "girls night out" and "guys night out" even exist? I go out with my groups and I just usually see couples and other mixed-sex groups.

I can't think of the last time I saw a group of only men or only women out in a place at night. You usually just see couples or a group of friends of mixed-sex. The exception being the places I named earlier. But I never saw it at film premieres, music festivals, lounges, jazz clubs, theatre premieres, casino events, gallery openings, book signings, museum receptions, etc...

I expect to be attacked for this post, so feel free to indulge. But keep in mind, this isn't just ranting and raving. I am genuinely asking this because I honestly appreciate these ladies night out and guys night out. I find people should have them more.

But maybe I'm cute and idealistic. Maybe these things don't actually exist and I'm just sitting here dreaming.
