I was told I was too smart to stay at home and raise children. I said to myself, "So should I go to work and pay stupid people to raise my children?" Apparently yes considering how they treat your wife. Feminism is not really about women living the life they want. It's about women abandoning demeaning domestic work. And toppling the patriarchy and replacing it with women.

She said she didn’t want our child to spend 6-8 hours a day bonding and growing up with strangers.

Good for her, you and the child. And for the rest of society; your child is less likely to cause social problems later.

Well you thought wrong. My wife is also a SAHM and has gotten much of the same. Had a woman I worked with ask me what my wife did, told her she was a SAHM. She asked if my wife went to college and I said yes. She said “What a waste of a degree.” Pissed me off so much.

She was in her mid-30s and married. I badly wanted to say “Your in your 30s with no kids. What a waste of ovaries.” Didn’t do it though because I knew I’d be the bad guy.

SHE got all kinds of hate mail and death threats from feminists for it but at the end of the day she told them all that being a Mother left her more fullfilled and had more meaning in her life than any deal she's ever closed. Being there when her sons got home instead of them literally not knowing who she was due to the demands of her job was a eye opener for her.

It's rough for any woman that wants to be a trad wife, tougher than it ever should be but with your support she can do it AND be happy about her desicion.

It's human nature, a survival skill. When there are no men and/or there's no competition, women will usually support each other.

But if there's a man around, or a pay raise, or anything that only one person can benefit from, women will almost always be on guard of each other.

Feminism, in the early years, was about women supporting other women, because none of us were in positions of power, etc. But now, that there is equal access to those positions, women be as bad as men are. so to speak.

edit: I also want to say it's a tragedy if your wife is viewed this way by other women. I sure wouldn't be mean to her. She worked hard to get where she is, and she deserves respect for that.

Hm. So I'm a ruthless careerist woman with zero interest in kids, but simultaneously I think it's 100% okay for anyone to be a stay-at-home parent. However, I do know a lot of childfree/ careerist people who loooooove to rag on and criticize stay at home parents. So I think I can speak to some of the reasons people do this:

1-the belief that it is unethical to have children at all (this is the most extreme position, but I do know people who believe this.

2-the belief that stay-at-home parents are a financial drain on society and receive government handouts

3-a reaction/response to having themselves been shamed or belittled for not being a parent or a stay-at-home parent, either by people who are, or perhaps by the older generation (even if they're not reacting to the specific people that devalued them)

4-personal bad experiences with parents even their own, who are entitled, abusive, or hateful.

I don't agree with any of these reasons, or the behavior, but I do particularly understand why people get there. To me, reasons three and four are the most common. It's people having this experience of "other parents in my life devalued me because I'm not a parent, or I'm not a parent in the same way that they are, and so I'm going to lash out by doing the same to people who are similar to the people that devalued me". It's a flawed but commonly employed logic.

As a women i run through a lot of forums and alike about relationship etc. And any discussion about working woman and SAHM goes straight to fighting with insulting each other and pointing out all the disadvantages and disabilities of every position.

Modern Feminism is concerned about the collective power of women vs men. That's why there is such a push get get women into powerful positions.

Anything that contributes to the collective power of women is good, and anything that reduces the collective power of women is bad. Individual women's choices are a problem when they are not seen to increase all women's collective power.

That's why we've seen feminists getting women fired from their jobs as promo girls. They see it as encouraging the objectification of women, so those women should not be allowed to do that.

There is nothing wrong with being a stay at home parent. Apparently now though, women have the freedom to choose what they want to do... As long as it fits into the approved roles dictated by feminism. Otherwise they face ostracism or harassment.

But don't worry too much about what those morons say, most of them cry about the lack of women in STEM, but instead of studying and going into those fields themselves, they tend to be women's studies majors instead. Shows the kind of blatant hypocrisy that is rife in those circles.

I have an acquaintance whose wife is a friend of my ex-wife. He's a stay at home dad and she works.

You should hear the shit they talk about him. Parenting is acceptable for women, but when a men does it, he's just lazy. (I'm a single parent, my wife gave up custody, so I parent. I'd love to hear the shit they talk about me. (No I wouldn't lol)

So on one hand, housework is work if a woman is doing it, but it's not work if done by a man. Interesting.

Being a mom, a stay at home one at that, is an honor.
Being there for your children is noble. At least it should be. Feminists don't want the mom to stay at home as raise the kid, they sure as hell don't want a man doing that job either. ONE of the things that contributed to the downfall of my marriage was my ex listening to voices like this. No need to be an authortarian, but I would prioritize spending time with other, better, friends you two may have.

🤗 That's the mark of a good parent right there. If both parents are working (especially if it's demanding jobs) the child is going to be left to figure out things on their own or potentially get influenced by bad people in society. It's a recipe for disaster.

Now to be clear I'm not saying that this HAS to be a woman's role. I have the same amount of respect for stay at home dads as well. There are too many SJW and rad fem indoctrination camps both online and offline that are ready to weaponize your kids against you and against other kids as well.
