Here is a story where it happened to someone else. Woman (empty nester) was in a good marriage. Started new outside volunteer job and she got attention from younger dude. She enjoyed the attention and instead of protecting the integrity of the marriage, started to emotionally cut off her husband (LL4him). Blamed it on BS like menopause.

Husband noticed something was off and it didn’t end well of her. Most of the time the r/deadbedroom is the wife weaponizing sex out of disgust and anger or creating emotional distance from the spouse to make room for someone else (whether they are aware of it or not). Don't ignore a change in pattern in your wife.

My wife has refused to have sex with me since sometime in December 2017. She swears up and down that she hasn't had an affair (I would never do that. When would I even have the time do to that? You have no idea what you're talking about). I have zero proof of anything ... just some situations that seemed odd and things that didn't really add up. I'm curious to see how quickly a new man "enters the chat" once our divorce is finalized.

I did.

We had a dead bedroom for about 5 years maybe 6, when I asked she said she never thought sex was important to her to begin with, for context she never initiated it and at times I felt like I was forcing myself on her so I suggested that she should initiate sometimes.

Turns out that what she meant to say was that sex with me wasn't important to her, after the divorce I was going thru some medical records she left behind, they said that she had multiple miscarriages in the last 3 years of our marriage.

Last year she told our daughter that she was pregnant with twins due on valentines day with her new bf. It's doubtful as she is 48, and was already menopausal when we were getting divorced on top of the other issues she has, then the due date was moved from valentines to June. So there you go

An affair can be anything, it does not have to be physical. The dictionary says "an intense amorous relationship." My wife had an internet affair, sexting, pics, videos etc., she tried to down play that he was 1000 miles away, but it hurt just the same.
