I'm going through some hard times and feeling angry and resentful. After 23 yrs, my wife wants a divorce. We have two kids 12 and 13, It's been rough on all of us, especially the kids. For now the plan is, they stay in the house, and we'll alternate weeks staying with them.

We told the kids and it’s been tense and weird at home. I've been sleeping in a guest room the last couple weeks. Until I get some legal advice I’m not rushing out, but I’ve started looking at places to rent.

Last week my wife went to the bank and withdrew half of all our money without telling me. It really felt like my money because she hasn’t worked the last 3 years while in grad school. So I’ve been supporting her financially. She finally graduated and got a good paying job. Now that she’s making money, we’re done.

She also wants half of the equity in my company, which was also my retirement plan. My attorney charges $495 / hr. and now I’m feeling some financial insecurity. This sucks.
