I don't think it'll die, but I think it is fading and losing some people who previously associated with the community. Aba and Preach released a video recently showing some of the internal disagreement within RP creators.

Sneako was on F&F and he was making fun of Rollo Tomassi's tweet about the top ways to become a high value man. AND Sneako was also calling out F&F for their hypocrisy of telling women that sleeping around is looked down on, but then the men turn around and totally lack discipline when it comes to sex. So much so that they advocate getting a vasectomy because men are so undisciplined when it comes to sex. Sneako was saying how stupid that is (which I agree with).

F&F said every man needs to sleep with 50 women before they commit, and Sneako and Destiny were basically just laughing at this saying how sex doesn't teach you anything about relationships or finding a good partner, and how being a man whore makes you a worse partner, doesn't make you a better father, and is not necessary to figure out how to get into a good relationship.

So it does appear that there are more moments where the hypocrisy, double standards, lack of logic etc. are being called out by "one of their own", which is refreshing. I'm sure seeing these disagreements and RP being criticized by someone who is internal or adjacent to that circle would get some of the audience to think more critically about what they're being fed.

It feels like it but only time will tell. The issue is the damage it’s already done to many boys. To have a misogynist superstar as their role model as a child is pretty imprinting. And I hope there’s a way for them to shift their perspective.

It will never die completely. Misogynists will always exist. Same with racists, homophobes, ableists, etc.

The term "Red Pill" might stop being used, but the ideology will remain, probably under a different name.

The Alt-Right seemed like it was going to go strong, but then the same time Milo got outed for defending grooming, they realized they needed to disavow the whole movement and they did the 4chan hoax cover story.

It's still around - because hateful people will always seek out other people to validate their shitty world views.

They just call it something else.

As long as there's an internet, there will be some sort of redpill cesspool for them to hang in.

I wouldn’t say it’s dying but it’s definitely getting exposed as being goofy. I think it’s boom in popularity during the pandemic led to increased scrutiny that it never got when it was a more insular community. And it doesn’t really hold up well to any criticism.

It will keep growing and attracting outsiders because there’s still going to be a pipeline of alienated young men looking for answers. But for those who have been aware it’s as clear as day these ideas are not holding up to be a viable alternative at all when challenged by progressives and conservatives

Red pill will go the same way as PUA. It will be proved that most of it's theories are false.

On the other hand, I can forsee the rise of black pill thinking, and incel culture. A lot of those theories are hard to disprove, especially for men with a lack of success with women.

I think it’s sort of going through a tumultuous transition. I feel like I’m seeing a lot of conflict between trad conservatives and RP folks lately. There appears to be increasing conservative chatter online about women’s place being in the home, bearing children, and supporting a dedicated husband. These traditionalist are now directly challenging RP ideas of non-monogamy and rejecting a hedonistic lifestyle while still fully embracing misogyny and strict gendered behavior and roles.

Red pill isn’t dying at all. It remains the primary way people get snapped out of blue pill delusions.

What’s beginning to happen is that it’s being exposed as half-truths. It’s become superseded by the black pill which is more half-truths yet more realistic than red pill in the era of dating apps.

Black bill gets superseded by white pill, then truth pill which means simply getting out in the real world and making things happen. There is no absolute truth, you have to carve you way through life and win like your ancestors did.

It'll probably fade, then rise again in another form/branding. PUA was its last iteration. With Neil Strauss it became mainstream, got ridiculed, faded and Red Pill came up as an ideology adding on to what the PUAs started. As long as society pushes that masculine traits are inherently toxic, as long as men aren't taught how to be good and effective men who can be proud of themselves as men (not just to copy women's traits), it creates an inner anxiety in men that is attracted to anyone with the opposite messaging. Someone or something will fill that void.

From my perspective it was Female Dating Strategy that brought the terms "high value man" and so many others ("pick mes," etc) to the mainstream. I really had no idea about anything we now formally call Red Pill content or ideology when I was already pissed at FDS and having fun critiquing their burning shit takes. I think I became aware of brand-name Red Pill content (to distinguish it from all "score culture"/"get laid" type content that has existed forever). Sorry boys, but girls are always way more influential in culture. There's a lot of evidence from linguistics, and such to back that up.

If you check Google trends, Female Dating Strategy had its moment overlapping with the time frame you are saying. Now whether FDS was just an Red Pill ripoff/member, or whether it was the unsung progenitor of much of this ideology, I do not know, but it wouldn't be surprising if women's contributions are invisiblized lol.

I'm just projecting mostly, but it is also true that girls/women upload ideas to the mainstream much more readily and quickly than boys/men (why, who knows, it just is what it is). Also, I think the Machiavellian approach to dating/partnership is an old idea that just keeps coming back, and it' snot just a male or female thing. The existence of FDS overlapping with your recollections of peak Red Pill demonstrates that.

Call me crazy (respectfully, please), I'd love the discussion if you think so. But I think we are just about turning the corner on this moment. But don't count it out. Set a timer for 10-20 years from now, and Machiavellian/anti-romantic dating/partnering will be back in fashion, again, for all the new crop of insecure young people who don't already know how bankrupt and corrupted it is.
