Hey bromos, I'm going to scream I'm so frustrated! My husband refused to feed our toddler breakfast again this morning even though I'm in a body cast, have stage IV cancer, and I'm pregnant with kiddo #4. Grrrrrr! I just wish he would stop leaving skid marks on the sheets every night! I've taught him how to properly wipe himself like twenty times already but he's just not getting it. Oh well, at least he's brushing his teeth twice a week now, small victories!
Well, better drag my ass out of bed and get all the kiddos ready for school before going to work for 15 hours. Husband doesn't have a job but I know I'm going to come home to the house being a mess and I'll have to make dinner for everyone. Ugh!

No one can force people to get help all right, but what actually worries me is the children who grow up in such households, learning it is okay and normal that mommy is a doormat and men can treat women like that. Imagine a daughter growing up like that (I know how it feels). Don't they care about their kids? This is bordering on emotional abuse.

Ok. I had to get that procedure at the urologist where they put a camera through your urethra into your bladder. The informed consent paperwork said to ask if you wanted a Valium. I was like, hell yeah! But when I went to ask the nurse, she said oh sorry that’s not available for your procedure, it’s only available for men. So I just went and had someone stick a camera in my bladder with nothing.

I believe a lot of it may have to do with not having the financial means to leave and an obligation to the children/pets. It seems easier emotionally for men to walk away from kids, pets, etc. and generally men aren’t dependent financially. Women often actually care about the children and pets and are sometimes financially dependent on their spouses so they can’t leave. Women need to always have enough money put away that allows them to leave if they want.

Yes sure, money is a big factor. Once again, to anyone and everyone have your own money. Either income or savings.
Martydom is a other factor. My religious female relatives think staying with arseholes is a test from God and they will get rewarded by getting into heaven. But these women get nothing here on earth. They got to wait until they die, many of them at the hands of their men.
I feel such a mix of emotions whenever i see posts from the other subs. Overall, my heart breaks, all women have the potential to be queens.

What would that look like here? It would look like this woman choosing her own health over chores that I am sure did not need to get done right that second. It would look like never doing this scrotes laundry cuz why tf are you doing a grown man's laundry? It would look like not cooking for a man who's healthy enough to get his own food. If they have older kids, it would look like expecting responsibility from her kids to help clean the house, do laundry. It would look like demanding respect and a fair division of household labor. And if she didn't get that, it would look like filing for divorce.
Like, you literally don't have to do these things lady. You literally don't have to be married. Yes I know it's hard to get away, but ALL women in situations like this talk about how much better life is w/o a fucking man child around.

Girl let me give the opposite: refusing medical care to the point where he was hospitalized with a stomach virus. I guess weed is more important than his health. I remember once when my ER/ICU nurse friend's husband got "sick" & demanded to be taken to the ER because he was sure he was dying. (She had also been sick for days but pushing through because there's basically no sick leave for medical personnel unless you're dead.) So, she sat in the staff lounge drinking a ginger ale & watching tv while he moped all over triage. After a few hours, he was Dxed with WWMS (wimpy white man syndrom) & sent home with instructions to take an OTC decongestant & up his fluids intake. 🤣 🙄
I just don't get it. My SO sustained a catastrophic injury in the line of duty. Bad enough to require months of medical leave & surgery soon after. He still finished the mission without stopping. High pain tolerence, you'd think, right? Nope. He also suffers from the Man Cold. Granted, we don't live together & he doesn't ask me for anything. But he does text to keep me upated of the depths of his suffering & despair. What is it about men & a little snot?
