Hey bromos, I'm going to scream I'm so frustrated! My husband refused to feed our toddler breakfast again this morning even though I'm in a body cast, have stage IV cancer, and I'm pregnant with kiddo #4. Grrrrrr! I just wish he would stop leaving skid marks on the sheets every night! I've taught him how to properly wipe himself like twenty times already but he's just not getting it. Oh well, at least he's brushing his teeth twice a week now, small victories!

Well, better drag my ass out of bed and get all the kiddos ready for school before going to work for 15 hours. Husband doesn't have a job but I know I'm going to come home to the house being a mess and I'll have to make dinner for everyone. Ugh!

I don't understand this sub at all. Do all the women lack any awareness of their agency? Why is it so funny to be used and abused by their husbands and partners?

It reminds me of me female relatives in the kitchen, cackling about how dumb their husbands are. Yet with the same breath, im supposed to want that?

I was lurking in that sub yesterday, landed on a post from a woman about her husband being verbally abusive (of course she didn’t use this term, just listed the horrible names he calls her) and all the comments were like “just hang in there!” I mean wtf??? I can’t.

She really expects women to take responsibility for themselves and not tolerate bad behavior from men (she is too dismissive of how powerful societal and family influences are in poisoning women's minds and making them doormats for men though. This bothers me cuz she's dismissing the root of the problem).

What would that look like here? It would look like this woman choosing her own health over chores that I am sure did not need to get done right that second. It would look like never doing this scrotes laundry cuz why tf are you doing a grown man's laundry? It would look like not cooking for a man who's healthy enough to get his own food. If they have older kids, it would look like expecting responsibility from her kids to help clean the house, do laundry. It would look like demanding respect and a fair division of household labor. And if she didn't get that, it would look like filing for divorce.

Like, you literally don't have to do these things lady. You literally don't have to be married. Yes I know it's hard to get away, but ALL women in situations like this talk about how much better life is w/o a fucking man child around.

Men are such babies. I literally went to work with a fever, cold, weakness and I still toughed it out through a 12hr night shift (because I was out of sick days). If I can do that a man can handle his damn tummy ache without acting like a diva.

Girl let me give the opposite: refusing medical care to the point where he was hospitalized with a stomach virus. I guess weed is more important than his health. It was his mom that finally convinced him to go because it was obvious to her throwing up repeatedly wasn't normal 🙄. I wouldn't be surprised if she paid for his bills too. He was ready to just deal with it because he refuses to spend a dime on his health. Not even on dollar store tylenol.

I remember once when my ER/ICU nurse friend's husband got "sick" & demanded to be taken to the ER because he was sure he was dying. (She had also been sick for days but pushing through because there's basically no sick leave for medical personnel unless you're dead.) So, she sat in the staff lounge drinking a ginger ale & watching tv while he moped all over triage. After a few hours, he was Dxed with WWMS (wimpy white man syndrom) & sent home with instructions to take an OTC decongestant & up his fluids intake. 🤣 🙄

I just don't get it. My SO sustained a catastrophic injury in the line of duty. Bad enough to require months of medical leave & surgery soon after. He still finished the mission without stopping. High pain tolerence, you'd think, right? Nope. He also suffers from the Man Cold. Granted, we don't live together & he doesn't ask me for anything. But he does text to keep me upated of the depths of his suffering & despair. What is it about men & a little snot?
