I've had over 3 years of bra free bliss! I know it's not realistic for all body types, but don't knock it til you try it. :) Winter is the perfect time to give the bra free thing a shot!
(If you are worried about nipping out, a pair of reusable silicone pasties will keep you modest.)

I used to only ever go bra-less during winter time, but since quarantine started I decided to invest in some light breathable undershirts (a must in the humid south). I bought those "airism" shirts and tanks that Uniqlo sells and am pretty much going to be braless year round if I can help it.
I don't like feeling completely bare under my shirts, so wearing a camisole or an undershirt definitely helps give me some support without completely restricting me the way bras do. I know some people think braless=no support, but undershirts are the way to go and worth a try.

I started not wearing a bra in college about 4-5 years ago and at first I was super self conscious but the more I didn’t wear them I realized how comfortable life had become!
No bra life is awesome. I do my best to only wear bralettes or thick camis under my clothes that require my boobs to have more “support”

I was also curious about the comments. Wearing a bra disrupts lymphatic flow, which is very necessary. I rarely wear a bra and when I do it's because I need to look professional and don't want my nipples poking through my top. Every other time it's a sports bra or nothing. Even though invented by a woman I believe bras are very misogynistic, especially considering how much money the lingerie industry makes, which primarily is centered around being sexually attractive to men. We worry they will sag. Breasts sag regardless of a bra or not. Men saying they don't like saggy boobs is the reason we feel we have to wear bras. The reason our breasts hurt after taking a bra off is mostly due to them not used to hanging. I have less pain now ever since I started wearing bras less

Actually, there's been research saying the opposite. Going braless can help strengthen the muscles in that area while constant bra wearing will cause them to weaken.

I have ADD & I'm the opposite. Can't stand my nipples brushing against stuff 😂 I also can't wear turtlenecks or mock necks or funnel necks. And certain crossed strap bras and shirts with a high neck & shoulder cut outs feel like I'm being strangled. I get short of breath & my head starts pounding.
Eta: It would be nice if more doctors realized this is why ADD and many other Dx like it are so hard to manage and treat. Because they affect different people so forking differently!

I wear a 32B and I really don’t need a bra. I get that other women do, but small chested women like me only wear them because society says it’s unprofessional or unladylike to go braless. They’re uncomfortable and I only wear bras in professional settings or if I’m wearing tight clothing. One thing I’ve been enjoying during covid is that I don’t wear bras anymore, except during video call meetings. I support the no bra movement 🤷🏻♀️

Kind of have to agree here. Women shouldn't be forced to wear bras, but somehow the idea of bras got turned into patriarchal concept with libfems.
Bras, and even corsets going further back, were invented by women and made by women with women's comfort and mobility in mind. Yes, even corsets, a properly tailored corset provides excellent back support. I think cheap manufacturing of the modern day removed the aspect of women's comfort in exchange for mass production. A well fitted bra also shouldn't be uncomfortable.
The history is complex, but bras ended up being demonized by men like every other thing that men mock women for.

Historical reenactor here. Civil War reenactments are a huge thing in these parts. I started wearing corsets at a young age, often for a week at a time. I still sew and wear corsets for events (in normal non-pandemic years at least). I would take a properly fitted, not tight laced corset over a bra any day. Excellent lift and accentuation, and they do amazing things for the posture and tummy. Plus the support both chest and back is amazing, and no straps digging into my shoulders! I'm currently a 36 large C - small D cup depending on the time of the month.
If I lace my corset down some I can get to a 22" inch waist. It's snug, but not restrictive unless I'm trying to slouch or perform yoga moves worthy of a matrix fight scene. I have ridden horses at full gallop and over jumps in a corset.
The key thing to take away from this is PROPERLY FITTING. When I had a bra professionally fitted (not the Victoria's secret way of fitting), it was life changing. Now, I get jeans, bras, dresses, and professional wear fitted when I buy it. It makes a huge difference in how mass produced clothing fits and feels.
Ever wonder why the famous set manage to look good even in a plain white tee from target? They buy a size larger then have it professionally fitted!

You're thinking of tight lacing. It's different but it often gets mistaken for a corset. Regular corsets that everyday women wore, even working women, were designed to be comfortable and provide support. They did not modify the waist size or restrict movement.

I think the bra industries are honestly making too much money off of one measly article of clothing that they tried their hardest to convince women is a complete necessity. That’s kind of what I hate the most, especially the whole idea of “oh you need a bra or else your boobs will sag and then...men will think you’re less attractive”
I do my best to avoid wearing a bra at all times. Sometimes i’ll wear a nude cami with a loose patterned top over it to prevent showing anything too obvious. You just gotta get creative at dodging the bra industry.
This way you can avoid giving men, like the dude who owns victoria’s secret, any $ and also you can avoid giving creepy old fuckers any pleasure😄
