I’m 25 now, I’m an attractive girl and growing up I used to be so into my looks and tried hard to look good 24/7. Now I just don’t give a shit. I still try, but I really don’t want to waste money on new fashion trends or whatever. I want my natural beauty to just shine through and just be the best version of myself. I wasn’t happy when I was always so into my looks and trying to impress anyone.

I got out of a long term relationship in December, and now I’ve noticed that men in relationships are usually dating the most perfect girl. She’s beautiful, fashionable, outgoing, has a great Instagram. And meanwhile I have like 6 posts on my IG. Barely any photos, cause I don’t really have fashionable outfits to show off or care to take photos. Men prefer someone who looks good on social media and in real life too, because they barely give me the time of day anymore. Honestly, I’m just going to give up and just focus on myself for a while.

But I swear that’s how dating is these days, it’s so SHALLOW and I genuinely can’t keep up. I don’t want to work hard to get a guys attention, or post cute photos everyday. It just isn’t me. Does anyone else feel the same way? It’s so frustrating. Men are shallow, and will only commit for someone perfect. When I met my ex, I tried much harder in the looks department (he’s the one who basically dumped me by the way but he was a LVM overall. Don’t wanna really get into the details.)
