I once shared with a boyfriend that I was raped, and he asked why I hadn’t included my rapist in my “number.”
I learned the hard way, ladies. Never share your trauma. Never share how many sexual partners you’ve had.

I HATE men like him. HATE them.
They think they get to decide if they count the r*pist in or not. Absolutely disgusting.

What a fucking piece of shit. How dare he.
I was with a guy whose response to telling him I'd been raped recently (as in, a couple of days previously) was literally to beat me for half an hour. I wish I'd castrated him in his sleep, but I hadn't become self-aware yet.

My ex hated it. He was convinced men are mostly the victim of false rape and that women are malicious people that do this because ‘people believe them more than men’. He argues that there are so many men in prison because of false rape. He also had a bee in his bonnet about women taking custody of kids and not letting men see their kids just to be evil.
A young couple we both knew got married and shortly after the girl got pregnant. My ex was absolutely livid and said the girl ‘fucking ruined her husbands plans’ (apparently the husband has ideas about him and his wife moving country or something) and that it was all her fault and some disgusting secret scheme of hers to get pregnant... it takes two people to get pregnant ? o_o
[–]siberiansummerFDS Disciple59 points60 points61 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Men claiming “unfairness” in custody is just a trick in order to scream inequality and dIvOrCe RaPe. 90% of them don’t even want a 50/50 agreement. Even if the court gives it to them they slowly stop taking their kid on their assigned days because of their jOb or pRoBLemS. It happens all the time lmao. My ex screams about how badly he misses our kids and when I tell him let’s do 50/50 he suddenly gets quiet. Because kids are a ton of work! A ton!! Men are too selfish to care about someone else. Remember, when a woman gets divorced she is a single mother, when a man gets divorced he is just single.
[–]hoIds_up_sporkFDS Disciple30 points31 points32 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Exactly! Only 12% of custody cases even make it in front of a judge. 51% of custody cases are consented to by both parents without a judge, an additional 38% are uncontested (meaning that one party filed for custody and the other party neither consented to the agreement nor contested it. 9/10 men who say they were screwed over by the court are LYING.
[–]siberiansummerFDS Disciple20 points21 points22 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They are completely lying!! If they do go to court they only do it in hopes to get to pay as little child support as possible. Because they don’t care about their kids. Then when they do take them they feed them McDonald’s, don’t give them baths, don’t help with homework and buy video games so kids don’t bother them while they lay on the couch scratching their balls. Then cry about child support when the mom takes them to court after putting up with this crap for years. Disgusting

Don't know how this creep ended up dating you when he clearly hates women but glad he's an ex!

Right? I hate to judge because I have tolerated so much bullshit myself from men, but I feel like this much blatant woman hating would kill all attraction and desire immediately to where I just couldn’t be with the guy without being disgusted, even at my highest point of pickmeishadom.
I’m not looking down on you u/Resident_Biscotti, I’m sure you had some valid reasons for this that are borne out of our different life experiences, but can I ask you what they were?
[–]Resident_BiscottiFDS Newbie0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It just appeared out of nowhere to be honest. I was totally shocked and I guess for a while I just couldn’t even believe that those were his real feelings. And well it didn’t go too well after that

How disgusting and misogynistic. Thank God you got away from him.
He sounds a whole lot like one of my exes. Except he also threw in "what's the big deal about rape? It's just sex!" Also blamed his ex-wife for getting pregnant to trap him. Took zero responsibility for anything.
Good riddance to those creeps!

fact, men are actually more likely to get raped than to get falsely accused of sexual abuse, also another thing..false rape accusation numbers are often due to poor conviction rates by the courts.
[–]myousernameFDS Disciple100 points101 points102 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
The most typical profiles for women who make false accusations is:
1) A minor having consensual sex with her boyfriend is caught by conservative parents, she claims it was rape to avoid being punished, parents go to the police.
2) Sex workers who didn't get paid.
The scenario of "evil woman seeking revenge falsely accusing a man of rape just to ruin his life" is extremely uncommon. Those numbers are absolutely dwarfed by men who, ya know, actually rape people.
[–]Davina33FDS Newbie40 points41 points42 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The media are partly to blame as well. The number of women who falsely accuse is low but you can bet the media will sensationalise every case! They hate women. I was raped as a child, I tried to get the guy prosecuted and it took a lot of strength. Unfortunately my narcissistic mother and childhood best friend pulled out of being my witnesses and the case collapsed. I'm still so angry and incredibly hurt. Men get away with rape all of the time.
[–]hoIds_up_sporkFDS Disciple23 points24 points25 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Also, to expand on your first point a lot of "false accusations" are real rapes where the woman lied about the situation leading to the rape but not the rape itself. I read this in a John Douglas book, or another one of the FBI former profilers. A teen girl claimed that she was followed and raped by a guy she met at a public event. The cops didn't think her story lined up and it eventually came out that she went with him to smoke weed. The rape actually happened, but she was worried about what her parents and the cops would say about her smoking weed so she modified part of her story.

Additional to this:
They’re technically still victims but just not to that particular crime.

Consensual sex can't really happen in an abusive relationship though, especially when that is physically abusive. And most abusers also rape.
[–]jewdy09Pickmeisha™️81 points82 points83 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I think some men actually believe this is a real fear. They don’t realize how rare false accusations are and that almost every woman they know has been violated sexually in one way or another. They have been indoctrinated by this ridiculous narrative that other men are using to combat the reality that they can no longer count on women not reporting their shitty behavior and on not being held accountable.
But, a lot of these men are also the men who believe they are supposed to try and wear a woman’s resolve down until she lets him have sex with her. They think they have made a conquest when it reality what they have just done is have sex with a woman who made it clear she didn’t want to have sex at all. That is not a false accusation by a woman who feels buyer’s remorse. They recognize this situation because they have done shit like that too, but don’t want to call it what it is because that would make them rapists too.
Men should spend more time trumpeting about enthusiastic consent instead of this false accusation bullshit. Hey dummies, protect yourself against this vanishingly rare boogeyman by waiting until she is sure she wants to have sex with you, not when you wear her down with your pathetic begging or through varying degrees of intimidation that you can plausibly deny being intimidation.
[–]cantstopthemachine77FDS Newbie2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Not gonna happen because the majority of men feel no motivation to do anything that doesn’t benefit their penis, let alone do something that is the exact opposite that will directly keep them from “benefitting” their penis (not to describe rape callously, I’m doing it to put emphasis on their view of it). The collateral damage means nothing to them, just their penis.
[–]NorthrnSwedeFDS Newbie52 points53 points54 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Everyone, regardless of age or gender, is far more likely to actually be sexually assaulted than to experience false accusations. Anyone more worried about the false accusations is basically just announcing that they know they are rape-y af.

It's well known that building fires can often be done for an insurance claim (failing business needs to recoup costs from insurance) so much so that insurance companies spend lots of money to investigate if the arson is a false allegation and it was done by the owner. However, when there's a fire, people still take it for granted that it's genuine, as they should.
Funny how for the crimes were false allegations are more common, no one is like "Well maybe the business owner is making it up to get back at the insurance?? Hmmm??? False allegations happen!" But when a woman comes forward about being raped, a crime that has a low false allegation rate- its all about doubting the victim.
Edit: to the fanboy in my DMs saying that people do doubt fires and this is exactly why rapes are questioned- Boy, so when your neighbour's house burns down, are you there like "
Well are you sure this happened? I mean, you could be lying. Yeah, I know there's evidence of your house burning down but like... are you sure you didn't want it? I mean, if you're not lying and someone else DID really burn down your house (which, they probably didn't. I PERSONALLY would NEVER burn down a house and nor would any man I know, so that's really unlikely) but if someone DID... maybe you just gave the message that you wanted it? Didn't you say you wish your house was warmer? I mean, there's a lot of subtlety..."
No. You fucking wouldn't. You wouldn't say that shit to anyone else you know who comes forward about a crime happening to them. So sit your ass down and shut the fuck up because you know how fucking dumb that is and you know you wouldn't try to blame the victim as hard if it was a different crime.

So the best thing to do is assume the victim is guilty instead and question everything about them while protecting the accused's feelings as much as possible?
And way to completely miss my point entirely. My point is not "It's just as wrong to commit insurance fraud as it is to rape!" Jeez. My point was that if someone has their house burned down, statistically, they are more likely to be making a false allegation than a rape victim. But you wouldn't go asking someone who lost everything in their house fire if it actually happened and are they SURE they didn't want it etc. and treat them like liars on the offchance they might be.

A seemingly nice guy told me that when he has daughters he will teach them to fight back. This was in context of Aziz. I said when someone is doing that you often go into shock and can't fight, but even if you can being aggressive with someone who assaults is most likely going to result in your ass being handed to you, possibly even him pressing charges. His response was "but Aziz is small and weak looking so those aren't good excuses."
Yes, everything women say are "excuses" to men.

the first time I had sex with my ex he triggered me by accident (I will have flashbacks if anyone lays on top of me/puts their body weight on me). When I said that I was being triggered and why my ex goes “so you’re calling me a rapist?” I should have run for the hills right then and there

This is actually one of the first type of questions I bring up casually around men to gauge what kind of person they are by their responses.
I actually stopped dating because too many men I encountered, once they weren't flirting they were acting as if rape/sexual assault/sexual harassment was some kind of exaggerated myth. I'm in my late twenties and the only men I've met who don't seem to have this attitude are around my father's age. I don't know what happened to the men in my generation.

Porn and woman hate. Porn increases men's acceptance of rape myths and the idea that women like to be raped.
And the older men are mostly just saying what they know they're supposed to say.

I shared my trauma with my bf and he was filled with anger and disgust— he said if he ever sees the guy, he will beat down on him so hard that .. well you know. I think men should react this way, I mean how would they react if someone raped their daughter? Would they ask if their daughter is lying, or grab their shotgun and beat some ass?
