That's nice, for the first year. But eventually that passes and you realize that unless you do something, this is your life now. No one will pop into your life and improve it. No one will seek you out and try to make friends with you. If you fail to do anything, you will continue on the same path until you die.

Weird, I don't really get this positive attention in public, only the occasional harrassment.

It annoys me to no end how he thinks he somehow knows that being left alone is worse than being harrassed ever since you were a child. As if he knows us better than we do, many women neither want nor need this constant attention.

And why don't men start complimenting and validating each other if it's that bad? The attention and kindness women get comes mostly from other women, their friends and family.

Most of the ocmpliments men give us are not genuine or focused on our looks and are just a ploy to get in our pants. It seems to me that they want women to 'compliment' them the way they do to us.

Honestly I feel like a good number of males on reddit have never actually tried to interact or connect with women before. They seem to think all of us have strangers jumping to be friendly towards us, or that we all have huge, supportive friend groups.

I got into a conversation (argument) with a dude on this sub before, and they literally told me that women online are safe from being attacked or threatened because we’re female. That’s how delusional and naive they are, so there’s really no point arguing and wasting energy lol

i see plenty of average guys with decent personalities that manage to have social bonds. men need to maintain their connections instead of being entitled to them. expecting others to givegivegive without giving much in return is not a solution to the AlOnEnEsS of manhood. i think an attitudinal change about this predisposition would do a helluva lot of good. i've met many men around my age (late 20s - into 30s) who are really up here thinking that they're so SMART but also JADED or some toxic masculinity bs explanation for why they're emotional voids. no, you just have the emotional regulation of a 5 year old with the situational awareness of a teenager. grow the fuck up.
