This man is a disgusting nutsack. I have a bunch of questions:

Why won’t he legally marry this woman instead of “spiritually” marrying her (whatever that means)
Why is she so good enough for you to put a child into her but not good enough for you to actually marry her?
Why the hell are you on Reddit crying at the idea of compensating this woman what she is rightfully owed? This woman is agreeing to sacrifice her career, put her body through trauma and pain, and gain hormonal changes resulting in postpartum depression to give birth to YOUR child, sir! And for her to want you to compensate her is too much to ask for?
What the hell does he want her to do? Severely budget while he’s making great money as he’s not the one who has to carry and raise the baby as well as take care of domestic duties?

This is why FDS advocates to NOT do 50-50 finance from the beginning. It sets the tone for the entire relationship and getting men to do MORE/ give MORE later down the line is extremely difficult.

She shouldn’t have dated him from the beginning if she wanted to avoid this issue. 50-50 men are straight up undateable.

We as a female class need to start demanding we be compensated for our child-rearing capabilities - and not just in the relationship scenario. Let's really think about this and break it down - men want children. They need us for that. Why do they need us for that? Because it's expensive otherwise. When we think about all of the things we as women do when it comes to birthing and raising children, we have the role of nanny, maid, cook, and teacher. These things without a wife/forever girlfriend would cost a fortune. Then, for a man to be able to produce a family on his own - purely for the sake of argument, and bear with me here - to use a surrogate, egg donor, as well as having a live-in prostitute to give the man "his needs" - he would have to spend hundreds of thousands a year for this to be his reality. Why are so many of us giving this to men for free? I implore us all, we need to demand financial compensation for all of the work we put in. We need to stop doing this for free if we are to ever truly be liberated.

Several of my friends lost their high paying jobs after having children. It isn't possible to work long hours with kids if you're a mother. And if he's scoffing about her protecting her financial position what's he going to say when he's asked to change diapers 50/50? Nope. She's seen something (not married, not their money, she's the one losing here) and knows he's not the partner she needs him to be.

Please also note the before-last paragraph, where he whines about her taking housework into account. Because he was expecting her to lose the income from her job, AND pay all the fees and the hospital bill, AND do or pay for all the housework. He loves her because she's so accomplished, except that he's "turned off" that she won't sacrifice everything to please him.

By asking for guarantees, she actually managed to make the LVM come out before she was pregnant and stuck with him - and he seemed like he had a pretty solid mask on before that. Good for her, I mean she can't be happy about this, but she dodged a bullet.

I bet it wasn’t her sister she was talking to but an attorney. She detailed chores (50/50) haha! This Queen takes no prisoners. This is what women that want children should do. A man cannot carry thé child for 4.5 months nor can he take half morning sickness or vagina tear. You are making a huge sacrifice giving birth ladies! Your career and body will take a hit.

Don’t ever underestimate it. Also if men could give birth, this is what every wife( mother to be) will receive and everyone will expect her to understand because he is risking his health to birth their child.
