On Tinder there’s a choice to show people of the same orientation first, and I’ve seen lotssss of men who chose “bisexual” to see bisexual women first, but then because they don’t want to seem like they’re bisexual men they switch their gender to “female”.

I found the same issue on the friend-making side of bumble. Usually with some kind of disclaimer “not a girl lol just vibe better with girls” - there are gender neutral apps for that. There’s the straight side of dating apps for that. It drives me nuts.

They do it because they set their orientation as straight, female and would see their competition of men. Some ppl do it to scope out the competition, others do it to copy their bios, and some are incels who wanna rage on women and wanna see how many chads there are

They don't want to compete fairly. You show them where to run and when to start, the ones who know they can't win try to cheat. In this case it's trying to meet women without going through the official channel, because they are hoping to chance on the undecisive woman before she actually meets the men who are interested in her.

Lesbian here--this is why I gave up on OLD long ago.Not only are men using their own photos and listing themselves as men (on bumble I find especially and OKC) but also, some are grabbing photos from random women on FB and using them as their own photos! This happened to me TWICE prior to the pandemic.

I am not dating again (do not think, just so done with it) and also, that is a super safety risk.

They are disgusting. they did not just accidentally do that. They also did not just accidentally list their age is lower.I am a long hair athletic got my shit mostly together woman, and on dating apps I have to navigate: men wanting a third, men who are part of a couple, women who are in a couple, poly, pan, and anything rhyming with that, and people wanting to use me as an experiment.

Do you know how many bi women have reached out to me with their first sentence being "you are so pretty I cannot wait for you to be my first!" ?????

I have NEVER ran into ONE single bi woman who did not do that to me.

On the flip side, bisexual, pan, poly have ruined dating for me. RUINED. Butch women, every time, question my sexuality as I am last of my kind, one of the true long haired women who does not drug out, who takes care of herself, has hobbies that are great, degrees, and more.

At any lesbian event I have gone to, be it in Chicago, or NY--the women think I must be bi and do not want to date me. They literally approach me and tell me to leave. The meetups I have gone to--I am in a sea of butch-literally the only chapstick-ish woman there. unreal. All I have are non lesbians asking me out wanting me to be a skin sack piece of meat for their fetish games.

So the issue is, not just men pretending to be woman, it is the bi women who have no idea how the dynamics of a relationship go and lastly, in the USA where I am at, it is all the same.

When I was on OLD even just the last year I swiped left so much. Everyone is "open to non-monogamy"

Fuck OLD.

Being a lesbian who is strong and on the fem side is a fecked demographic.

I am NOT an experiment.
