It's so true. Same thing has happened to me repeatedly. The last one was someone I dated in 2002, who lived in another state, and was trying to fly out and see me. I wasn't interested and had to block since he went on a rant about his ex wife and how women always screw men over lol.

👏Amen👏 Every guy I’ve dated, talked to,or even slightly expressed interest, came back. Even the ones that cheated and claimed they were “leveling-up” came crawling back. I took exactly 0 of them back. HVW shit!

But in what capacity though? I’m not sure if “they always come back” is said as a brag or motivation or what. In my case, they always come back but only because I’ve said yes to them before. And it’s usually when they are lonely, bored, etc. Men are like depression era children in that they don’t let go of the leftovers (past flings) and they boomerang back when it suits them. This usually is more destructive to me than if they just stayed away....

Yeah, they kind of do. One man in particular who really broke my heart, I just took him off my contacts list, not block, cos I knew he’d come back. When he came back, I told him in a civil manner I was absolutely not even interested in friendship and wished him well, he asked why I didn’t just block him. I guess I’ve been using FDS rules since before I found this place but I didn’t dare tell him I didn’t block cos I knew he’d be back. Let him keep repeating those mistakes lol

I had an ex who messaged me when I changed my facebook status to "engaged" to tell me how sorry he was about how he treated me when we were together (he was a compulsive liar who cheated on me at least once) and how he was in therapy now and a changed man, he regrets losing me, yadda yadda. I mean that's nice and all, but he never would have said any of that if my status change hadn't scrolled across his feed.

I honestly just think he wanted to remind me of how bad he made me feel, and make himself feel like a hero for copping to being such a shithead. I blocked him. (I'm divorced now, so that's a whole other story lol)

Don’t they always. I dated a guy in 2012 and he showed up in my pms trying to relate over a family member/coworkers death at the end of last year. Boy, you still got a gf! Anytime one of the oldies shows up I think “must be trouble at home”.

Guy ditched out on our plans, we were dating for a few months. I cut it off after that and 7 months later he emails me and texts me the exact same message (assuming I don't reply to him because I changed my number or something) asking me to go for a "friendly coffee." I said "thanks for the offer but I am going to have to pass" and cut it off again. THEY ALWAYS COME BACK AS IF THEY NEVER DID ANYTHING WRONG.
