I just started reading Down Girl by Kate Manne (described as a treatment of misogyny in the tradition of analytic feminist philosophy). In her treatment, the author cites a reoccurring pattern of misogyny across all cultures: that anyone who acts against the norms that hold up patriarchy in that specific cultural setting, will be harshly retaliated against. Basically, anyone that does not comply is a threat. The outspoken woman? 100% a threat.

I think i saw this book recommended by someone on FDS. So far it's blowing my mind

I just skimmed for a general idea because it wasn't worth my full attention). I saw a hate post about FDS some days ago. Some of them thought FDS was about women desperately looking for men, I guess because our sub's name has "dating" in it. They made fun of us holding ridiculous standards and bitter about being single. Men thought they were that important! Well first of all, men are not important. We don't need you. FDS helped me on the decision to block a scrote yesterday. We have been talking on a daily basis the last two months sharing lots of things while I was abroad. Seemed very interested. I finally come back to town and I simply asked if he had plans for our FINALLY happening second date.

He said “no, don’t have anything in mind, do you?” I said he was being inconsiderate not planning a date with me after 2 months of consistent communication and I said that if it was too hard for him to plan something then that probably means he shouldn’t bother.

He just answered: Yeah, I shouldn’t bother.

3 months of constant communication thrown away in 30 seconds.

It can take time, but the mask will fall. Just step up a little bit and they will show their true selves.
