So you are telling me that only making say a flat million a year is simply not enough compensation?

It's enough, but any individual, who is in demand, will take the highest salary offered to them. Why would anyone do anything else? Take yourself for example. If one company offered you $70,000 a year, and another $250,000 a year, which are you going to take? $70,000 a year, based on the idea that you don't need more than that? You will take the higher salary, naturally.

I think its actually a noble goal to defer pay until the company gets back on its feet. Once she gets the ball rolling, then she starts getting the money
