Menslib attempts to talk about men’s issues under the umbrella of feminism. Because not kowtowing to feminism is seen as being hostile to women.

But feminism is about women, even if they try to pretend it’s about equal rights for men too. A simple glance at the r/ askfeminists faq will confirm this.

The subreddit is heavily moderated and follows a feministic viewpoint. You can't really talk about men's issues, because of how strictly the mods delete messages.

I’d say Men’s Rights is about real issues. I don’t care about masculinity at all myself- that’s a label other people put on things. But I am into the real issues I and others face as men.

If you take a look at the most common subreddits of users of men's libs (there is a webtesite that tracks it but I forgot) it's all heavily feminist and women-only subreddits.

Users of mens lib are just women LARPing as men.

…here in Germany, even those who went so far to escape masculinity to claim being a woman for themselves are finding out that men’s rights issue like forced military service will still come for them.

I think in the end it is just about saying “no buts!” To all those who think that the principle of fundamental human equality needs some exceptions carved into it.

Very feminine men still need that as much as super masculine ones. And neither gains anything by throwing entire groups of other men under the bus in order to elevate oneself.

Same reason feminists always talk about Masculinity. And try and try and change it and talk about it how it should or should not be. What is toxic what os not. How men should feel and should not feel. And if they feel a type of way it's toxic.

Is it not normal that people also start talking about it on the other side and talk about femininity? And or opinions.

Lurker, learner, and grower. I noticed something in passing and wanted to mention and take feedback on others for the following in your post: "Masculism is for those that identify as male." & " . . . men who don't identify as male, are crossdressers, feminine and maybe transgender?".

My thoughts:

It should be noted as with many things, masculinity is quite a spectrum. Masculinity should be something men define, and also as something that is being defined more and more in society through various efforts and constantly evolving change.

It should be noted, the efforts made for Men are not only for those looking to identify and present as the normal conception of masculinity, of which examples are spread already of this in many other posts. Many men, such as myself, also present and identify with forms/concepts of effeminacy. I think in my opinion the terms or concepts of 'crossdressing, femine presentations and concepts, FTM, or other concepts that may not consider under the average umbrella of Male/Men Masculinity' should not be discounted as a collective of the results it seems we collectively wish to see as a result of any movements/efforts.

It's possible i misunderstood or might be misrepresenting my own ideas even in the slightest through my chosen language, but I feel as i understand the key differences of the Feminism movements in relation to the Masculism movements. I just want it to be mentioned explicitly as i consider myself as a Cis Masculine man:

"Men can and should be allowed to express themselves, especially in relation more feminine perceived concepts/forms, such as but not limited to: makeup, longer hair, shaved body hair, effeminate clothing styles, and likewise"

Would love your and other thoughts on this matter!

Menslib redditors are guilt ridden anxious men who want to be exonerated by feminism. They suck up all the misandric hate being published like little sponges.

If they can define themselves as "extremely untypical" men, they hope they can enter a category which feminists condones and approve of, that one day they'll finally be considered the "good guys".

I think we all know that this is futile, and I think a lot of men can relate to the type of quicksand these guys are in with this thinking.

Eventually, some are bound to finally end up here.
