I think the top comments are tied to that bizarre thing where women don't actually want to be held to their word because their feelings can change what their word means at any time. They want their cake to look at and eat it too. They want to be able to stand for something, be free to put it aside if they happen to be attracted to someone who displays against that something, and then pick it up again later with people still taking them seriously. Credibility doesn't work that way, no matter how much women upvote each other on the internet to try and make it true.

I usually don't comment in this subreddit, and I feel like I'm usually a kind of BluePill guy, but this really rubs me the wrong way. A lot of people go on about how Men, as a nebulous category of people, have the responsibility for the sexism of Men. You are not just responsible for your own sexism, you are responsible for the sexism of other men that you allow to occur, or that you implicitly reinforce by laughing at the wrong jokes, or letting sexist men take up more social space, etc. Ok, fine. I share some blame. Not as much blame as the men that actually do sexist stuff, but sure. I am not completely pure.

At the same time some women (not women in general, some women) reward sexist men with sex. (Now I'm not saying that sex should be seen as a "reward" - I'm saying it clearly is, especially by sexist men. Social status is sexist circles is all about "who fucks and who's a cuck".) This is a way stronger reward for these men, than just the tacit approval they get from not being called out by some guy like me. These women are clearly reinforcing their behavior, especially if you think that these men usually believe stuff like "all women are secretly turned on by sexism". How do you not share responsibility? I get that it can be bad to moralize too much about sex, but that doesn't change that it de facto reinforces his sexist behavior.

People are allowed to complain about things they don't like in their lives. Parents are allowed to complain about children even when they chose to have kids, they can complain about house repairs even when they bought the house, they can complain about their pets even when they chose to adopt their pets...

Complaining just means you're acknowledging something negative in your life. You can even complain about how bad you are at avoiding things you'll have to complain about later.

There is no "right" to complain any more than there's a "right" to breathe air or make friends at school. It's just a thing people do. There is no action required to "earn" it and I can't come up with a circumstance in which someone should be barred from it. Worst case scenario, I'll probably just stop listening after a while.
