it may not, but you also don’t know until it happens, so the risk needs to be considered. how much do you see this person? how hard would it be to avoid them? how serious are you about your job/career?

With casual sex? No it didn't really change anything to me. Other then some graphic knowledge around the details of their junk and how they fuck... but even that fades away in time. I haven't had casual sex since my early 20s and I've run into a couple of those dudes later on in life and it's more "oh yeah, we had sex a couple of times, huh I forgot about that." kinda feeling.

But I don't think of sex as "unspeakable acts".

Nothing needs to change if both people handle sex with maturity and both are on the same page about where sex should and should not lead.

I've had things change after sex, but the issue wasn't sex itself but his behavior right before and after it that turned me off , so I had to tell him I didn't want to see him again. He wasn't a co-worker though. He was someone who studied at my university.

I think it can only get awkward if the people involved are expecting different things. I won't have casual sex with someone I'd rather date, so I don't know how it'd get weird on my end unless the guy is thinking it'll turn into something more.

Yes. Now that doesn’t mean it has to be “weird” forever or anything, but it’s going to change things. That’s why I’d personally rather not have sex with a coworker at a job I value or friend who I’d like to stay just a friend. Or anyone I’m not interested in dating, actually.

If I'm having sex with someone, they're not a "coworker" or "friend". Like it or not, having sex means you have a certain kind of connection to this person. Which is why I don't believe that "casual" sex is a great thing or it should be had before you love and are entirely comfortable with someone.

No it’s just sex unless there’s feelings involved. Other times it’s just a hookup and sure the two of you may know it if y’all are in a common place like same class or work but if it’s no strings attached, you don’t really care and it’s not a big deal

And sure it could happen again if the two of you want to but if it doesn’t, nobodies losing sleep over it

Yes, I crave it less now that I know what it feels like and that I can have it. In the PUA server I'm in, we had someone who is what youd imagine your stereotypical 4chan user. I think that it depends upon the person. For some people it does, for others it doesn't, and for some people, like myself, they would never get into a situation where sex could change something, because they'd only have sex with someone while already in a committed relationship.

For me, yes, sex can and often does change things. If we’ve had sex, then at some point we were attracted enough to each other to have sex. This implies that I could happen again.

So a friend or co-worker, it’d change the dynamic quite a bit. Mind you, I’ve never had sex with a girl in my friend group (my friend groups are 99% men anyway), or with a coworker.

The only situation where it wouldn’t change things is if we both had decent sex but have since become mutually unattracted to each other. For me, at least.

That's a hypothetical I can't engage in. I don't do that. If it's only going to be a one time thing, I pass on the option.

I don't think I've ever had sex with somebody who was previously a friend or other associate, so also can't address that. It's always been somebody I was dating, usually with sex as a likely goal.

Yes, it can change things dramatically. I was recently divorced several years back, and began socializing with a group from work. There was a female co-worker who coincidentally started the job the same day I did. We began to date, for the lack of a better term. Normal adult behavior began to happen and I had a discussion with her, because I knew intimacy wasn't far off. I told her I wasn't ready for a serious relationship, the ink was barely dry on the divorce. She seemed totally fine with the arrangement. We had sex a couple of times, the only thing I can think of is she must have thought that once we had sex I'd be hooked. She absolutely went off the deep end, she didn't make a big deal of it at work, but it was very awkward.

Sex doesn't change things. People do. I think, two mature person can handle it, sex is just sex. It may become problematic if one is getting attached while the other is not and the one who is getting attached can not handle the rejection.
