Many women have the opportunity to not work and be financially supported by their husbands, while men have to work for financial security.

Men don’t have to shave to be attractive to women, but if a woman doesn’t shave her legs or armpits men are grossed out.

Women can openly cry as much as they want and receive sympathy from society, however men who cry at the same frequency are perceived as weak.

There are countless double standards that exist in relationships and society — and that’s okay. Some gender roles benefit men, while others benefit women. There are things men are allowed to do that women get judged for, and vice versa.

Rather than having idealistic expectations of how society should function, we should acknowledge the reality that men and women ARE different; we tend to behave differently, think differently, and want different things in both life and relationships.

The push to force total social equality over the last decade has benefited no one and served nothing but confuse both men and women about how we should behave. It’s the reason men are increasingly becoming feminized and women are becoming masculinized.

The reality is most people are naturally happier within the bounds of gender roles, as opposed to forcibly breaking them.
