The double standard really depends on the audience.

28 and 35? No one cares. That age difference is negligible. 22 and 35 will raise a few eyebrows. Moreso for the maturity gap than the age, and it would be more unusual to see a very young man with a very mature woman than the other way around.

Outside of SM( which isn't indicative of real life, because the average person has more nuanced thought than a 150 character text box, or 3 min video clip on social issues) Most people don't care outside of making sure no one is being taken advantage of.

Women would generally disapprove of both scenarios. Although there's an increasing amount of females saying "you go girl!" for #1 and "eeek! pedophiles!" for #2.

Generally speaking, when a woman embarks on multiple casual hookups, society views it as a sign of being out of control while for a man doing the same thing, it is a sign of being in control and having lots of skill, which is why older men would suffer less shame and condemnation. The redpill manosphere is a prime example of younger men looking up to older men for tactics on how to pick up women. They're seen as "learned" individuals whereas a woman that's willing to have casual sex of any sort is just a whore. She's neither skilled or competent even though it takes two people to have good sex.

Sleeping around for a woman is super reputation damaging. Why do you think revenge porn is so destructive for a woman and not for a man? Even when the revenge porn isn't even their body but their face photoshopped onto someone else's body, it still destroys their life. And who posts these revenge porn? Men. They do it because they know that distributing the nudes of a woman that dumped them or rejected them would damage their lives. A woman's entire credibility goes out the window when she's seen as a promiscuous person. Literally, anything she says can be discounted with a "well what does she know, she's just a whore". There's this huge intersection where a whore is tied in with being stupid. Because in the eyes of society, the only women that would have casual sex is stupid.

Reddit doesn't believe that women have agency nor can they be manipulators.

I believe the general consensus in our gynocentric society is the same.

Men have hyperagency where everything they do is because they chose to do it and they should be responsible for their own decisions. Men are expected to deal with their bad decisions on their own by themselves.

Women have hypoagency where all of their decisions are because she was influenced by an outside force and she isn't responsible for anything she does. It's the fault of messaging by the patriarchy that she made those bad decisions. Any bad decision a woman makes is the fault of society and society should provide ample safety nets to save women from their bad decisions.

This flows over into dating. We just don't believe that women have any agency today and that men are all evil manipulators.

You are wrong, 35 year old men look for women 30+ for hookups or single mothers, 18-22 year women are for marriage and long term relationships, they have a lower chance to end in divorce because their pairbonding ability is less damaged than 30+ women and also children born from young women have less chance to have genetic defects or diseases.

Theres a saying "Women look for men with a brigh future, men look for women with a bright past"

If you are 30+ women and single, you better start adopting some cats.

Btw: Women who are 30+ start name shaming men who date 18-22 women because they are angry that now they are old and no men sees them as LTR material and doesnt even want to wife them up, thats why they become angry and bitter and start hating on men of their same age who date women 18-22, thats a strategy women use to make men their same age to wife them up, by saying dating 18-22 women are predatory, thats utterly BS, they will try anything so men wife them up, dont listen to them, its their biological clock tickling and they are desperate.

How different

22-28 is a big, often momentous span. People are finishing studying. Beginning careers. 25 and up they're more established. Compared to a 35 year old divorced person.

As to casual hookups there's no difference. Unless you can tell their age drastically, not many people will notice.
