Red pill was for your “Average Frustrated Chump” (AFC) who could get success with women albeit a lot of effort, and it may not necessarily have been the results he wanted. It’s popular with young men because the ones who aren’t “naturally” red pilled in behavior are going to wonder why those men are very successful with women, and how to get the same results.

I don’t think Red Pill is inherently bad for men—it says, “Male nature is X, female nature is Y, based on these patterns, doing such and such is most likely to yield you the results you want.”

Personally, I view it the same as female dating coaches going, “Men are like this, if they really wanted to and valued you as a partner, they would do xyz for you.” Plenty of women swear by that, or other similar sentiments, so overall I do not think any of this is a big deal.

The redpill is popular with men because men genuinely and unironically believe it. It's not a social game to try and pressure women into xyz like a gender swapped version of say the 4b movement or feminism... men don't view their position as positive or negative they view it as reality. Women have mostly been addressing it like the belief was fake and it was just a strategy by almost never directly addressing the points and mostly just trying to shame men into compliance. That doesn't work in the long term, that just builds resentment and makes men less likely to listen to you in the future. Complaining louder just accelerates the process even if you get the desired outcome right now.

In the last century or two, women have asked to meet in the middle with men but only men ever actually went to the middle while women just kept moving the goalpost before once again asking men to meet them in the middle. men that understand that reality aren't going to fall for "positive neutral spaces" type of rhetoric.

Red Pill Philosophy became popular because it is truth that men have always known emerging from a background of broadly socially accepted lies that we stopped being able to dispel publicly because it became politically incorrect to do so.

And as long as the attempt is to “steer young men” into “spaces” that make you more comfortable because they are rooted in lies designed to make women feel better about their choices and behaviors it will continue to be popular.

Because women give bad dating advice (to men). The Cause is simple: women care much more than men do about what society thinks about them. As such a woman will almost never, regardless of their actions, say something that makes them look like a bad person. Example, it’s painfully obvious being attractive is a huge pass that will excuse a lot of behavior with women (same thing for men), but no woman will ever admit that looks will bypass downsides of a partner.

Impossible. The only thing way it could be a neutral space is if women are willing to admit to these things that they deny and tell men “suck it up or be bitchless”. However there is no incentive for this, women can get a partner no matter their morals, they have no reason to help men that don’t “get it”. They only need to wait at the finish line for those that do. They’d be making themselves look bad for no gain. So they don’t. For the record this isn’t a bad thing, if I was a woman I’d do the same thing, no need to make myself look bad and bring on misogyny.

I would say largely because it made those young men feel heard. A lot of disaffected young men were told essentially to shut up, bear it, and take it and that their problems weren't real problems.

Red pill philosophy offered something different - If it wasn't promising solutions it was at least saying "I understand that you have these problems".

Being heard and taken seriously is a powerful recruitment tool for any organization, philosophy, cause, religion, etc.

There are a number of very convenient lies society tells men about dating dynamics. As long as those lies are being pushed; things like the red pill will thrive, even if they also push some shitty stuff.

If society was sincere about how women's attraction works and stopped the pedestalization and deliberate obfuscation, the red pill would lose its core engine and fall flat on the face.

Alternatives have been suggested many times here and always shot down in flames. Alternatives such as: liking and loving yourself so you don’t depend on the love of a woman to be happy, learning to be your own source of happiness and approval so you don’t depend on women for it, taking the reigns of your life and decentering women, because nothing drives women crazier than a guy who doesn’t need them to enjoy his life.

All of these ideas are always shot down as unrealistic because you see it’s in a man’s nature to be always horny and desperate.

Because old men understand that what is red pill currently on social media/youtube/reddit, has nothing to do with the "truth about human mating/female nature/gender dynamics/etc" but is just ideological charlatanery, circlejerking, confirmation bias, cherry picking, conservative value driven, ragebait, scapegoating, and telling inexperienced, easy to delude young men that there is nothing wrong with them, they are part of "averege men" who SHOULD have a fantastic sex and relationship life, but <REASONS> are in the way of that and society is coming to an end for it. Be angry and be loud. Get emotional! Get involved! Be part of a group! They vs us! Clear good and bad, easy to read morals.

Old men know that there is no widespread riding the cock carousel. They know that marriages often become sexless, regarding of how attractive or alpha the guy is. They know that women like to be approached and react mostly positively or neutral. They know that basically everyone that wants a romantic relationship and is not fundamentally flawed in a core aspect that is required for that, will be in one, if they want to and do put in the respective effort to increase the chances of meeting a partner with mutual attraction.

Old men just see through the charlatanery by sheer amount of lived experience. Young men have no fucking clue about the mating world.
