One of the main issues discussed here is that the vast majority of women not only have 15+ sex partners by the time the they are 25, but that if asked about their sexual past by a prospective mate they will give a false lower number. Sometimes even significantly less than the reality.

However, I find this hard to believe.

We have slut walks, positive media representations of promiscuity in women, plus a lot of talk about sexual female "empowerment" and freedoms. Not only that, but many different options for female birth control are available, as well as the legalization of abortions...In truth, it would seem that there's fewer instances of the outright shaming of women with Ns in the double digits nowadays.

So is there actually still a need for men to disbelieve women when they talk about their sexual history? Or has the modern age changed enough to allow for most women to accurately and truthfully state their N without fear of scaring away their SO? Does the average woman even have a N worth lying about?
