So over the past 6 years I have gotten more and more certain that Red / Black / whatever you call it theory is true. It seemed to explain the world around me quite well

But then I noticed something that does not seem to add up.

A core tenant is that Chad / Alpha are the ones women all chase and value and that women value looks over all else. Some even say that women do not date down on looks. I have noticed this to be true

Another tenant is that average looking Women can get laid by attractive Men on the regular. And I have seen Beckies hooking up with and in LTR with Chad.

But why? Wouldn't Chad just be banging Stacies if he had the choice on who to bang? Why would he bang Beckies? For Long-Term dating of course the theory explains that Women are more shallow than Men so Chad would be willing to look beyond looks/physical attraction. And again, I do believe that Women are more shallow than Men.

But a lot of Men are shallow, even for hook-ups you see Chads with Beckies and it doesn't seem to make sense. Some explanations I could think of:

  • Chad is a trophy husband to a Becky-Buck. With Women being more educated than Men and Women outearning Men under 30 I can see a role reversal where Women marry down on money and Men marry down on looks. However this does not explain hook-ups
  • Chad is sleeping with Stacies and Beckies as part of a harem. Ok. And does Chad not have a job? Hobbies? Studies? Life outside of sex? I mean want a GF but also know it will take up all of my free time. Can't imagine having like 10 nor would I want it. Like I have a life.
    • And of course this would be if have has a multiple GF harem. If he is just hooking up why would he pick a Becky over a Stacey if it is a one off thing
  • Chad use Beckies for easy sex. But shouldn't it all be easy for Chad?
  • Chad just does it unpurpose to cockblock others and show his superiority. Maybe? But again, doesn't he have a life?
