A man in order to get swiped right by at least 25% (could even be lower) of the women in his city (assuming larger American city), requires, in no particular order.

*First, he can't be fat, & has to be at least average to slightly above in looks, & should be at least 5'10 without shoes:

The following only applies to men:

  • High resolution pics. Clear. No snapchat filters.

  • Pics of him should be taken by someone else, although a selfie or two is acceptable (hopefully his smartphone has an HD front camera)

  • A good instagram link showcasing him traveling & that he has a good social life

  • A confident, but not overconfident bio (RP may disagree). It's very easy to be considered a "douche" in the current society, overconfident comes across feigned most of the time. RP doesn't get that either though.

  • A "cool" name helps more than often gets discussed (there's a reason it's Chad & not George), a dude with a nerdy name will simply get laughed at by most women, unless he really has everything else together. There's far more male nerd/unattractive names than female.

  • A "cool" job helps, like artist, fighter pilot, musician, although a lot of women won't believe it. A boring high-paying job won't really help all that much, unless she's looking to settle down, probably a minority of women on swipe apps, given it's basically mario kart to them.

Conversely, a woman.

  • One pic

  • Can be a grainy selfie with sunglasses on (as long as it doesn't look like a bot)

  • Can be from 50 ft away if taken by someone else

  • No bio required

  • Can claim to be a "homebody", doesn't have to prove any sort of social life

  • Can call herself anything, ranging from "BossBtch" to "Star" or something obviously invented

  • Can be 4'9

  • Can say she's unemployed "but looking"

  • Can brag about how she's "real" i.e. carte blanche to be mean all the time whenever she deems fit, over anything

  • Also, lots of women overuse snapchat filters making it difficult to tell what they really look like. Men cannot do this, although it is known to be common in the LGBT community.

The vast majority of men only ask: if she halfway pretty & not fat?

If so, swipe right.

In short, a woman wins by simply being average. A man must be far above. This is the crux of what RP talks about, but they're probably unaware.

Most women on swipe apps are simply "hedging bets" for the most part & not really looking to settle down anytime soon, even if in their 30's. Most men are just hoping to match with a woman their halfway attracted to. Some are hoping for a relationship or even marriage, while desiring sex in the meantime, so this ALWAYS gets misconstrued as them only wanting sex.

I have seen a flood of activity on the old-school "send a message" apps or dating sites, especially considering more & more men realize at least on those, there's a chance to get her attention.

la vraie pilule

  • I usually wait longer to make an edit on the commentary, but it's safe to say, PPD is bluer than the waters of St Tropez on this one. I know this ideology isn't popular, far easier to dismiss this as another "it's all about Chad post", but it's a basic reality in the modern era. Not even most Chad's can escape it, possibly Mr Grey personified (under 0.1 percent), but not even the typical Chad really can. If his pics aren't HD, he's not matching his female equivalent nearly as often as you'd think. Men also heavily outnumber women in the US besides old age..there's some data on this although it should be very obvious, but it's part of the reason why the SMP is how it is.

It basically comes down to this...

Average man, very low ELO score.

Average woman, very high ELO score.

Lastly, for too long now on this sub there's been this redirection of a topic to whoever wrote it - unless it's complimentary to BP. I'm only bringing up the reality, not saying it's good or bad.
