He is one of the kindest and most caring people I know. I'm very ill right now and he has been taking such amazing care of me.

He's really mature in dealing with conflict. He's always willing to talk things out until we reach a resolution, and both of us are willing to compromise, apologize if we did something wrong, and make generous assumptions about each other.

He is very giving and generous with his time and attention, towards me and others.
We've been together for 5 years, but he still manages to make me feel special and valued every single day.

To this day, he’s still the most noble and responsible man I have ever met. He never holds a grudge against anyone and always tries to help, always finding ways to make life for me and our kids a bit easier.

Just today, we’re unexpectedly looking after a friends child due to their family break up complications , and I love the fact that even though he’s not particularly fond of this child he’s offered to pick/drop them up and is trying to think of ideas to entertain them. He knows our children are all friends and he always puts their happiness first, such a good man.

I love his sincerity. I was impressed when I met him, by the courage it takes to actually be franc and direct about your feelings. He felt vulnerable, but I felt like I've never met a bravest man. He's just like this, honest and upright. I love his cleverness also. He's a brilliant guy, I value this a lot. We have an interesting relationship, and an interesting life together.
My 3rd favorite thing about him, related to the first, is his commitment to the goals he pursues. He puts the efforts to accomplish what he wants. He's willing to do it for us, and for our child also.

I could go on and on. He's loving and attentive. He's a great lover for this reason. He has a deep interest for the life. Like, litteraly all the living things, and that oriented many things in his life, his hobbys, his career's choices... I absolutely love that about him.

this is really random but something I REALLY appreciate from my partner lately is how he encourages me in my favorite hobby, painting. like as soon as you walk in our apartment door there’s about 10 paintings of mine right there, the first thing you see. for the first time, my art is proudly displayed. even though it’s just our little apartment, he encourages me to hang them up, he gives me his thoughts and genuine ideas when I ask, he offers to help me photograph them so I can get my work out there … sometime he just watches me paint cuz he says he loves to see how much I love it. he just seems so proud of me and it means a whole lot
he makes a real effort to express how much I mean to him, even though it isn’t second nature to him. i’m a gusher, i love to tell him endlessly how much I love him, but I know he’s not always big on words. but sometimes he’ll surprise me with a post it love note on the mirror for me. i love that kinda thing

He is very much the yang to my yin. He's a calming, stabilizing presence. I always say I'm in a mixed optimism marriage -- I'm the worrier, the pessimist, the catastrophizer; he has a relentless faith that everything will work out, sees the good in every situation and moves through the world with confidence.
He is really sexy and getting sexier with age.
A certain X factor I don't even know how to explain. Since literally the first time we met we just got each other. Being around him is as comfortable as being by myself, which is a quality I've only ever found in two other people (my mom and my best friend since I was 4). Our personalities are very different, we don't share a lot of hobbies or interests or any of the "on paper" things people say you should have in common with your partner, but something about us just vibes at a chemical level. It sounds trite and corny to be like "we can read each other's minds" but we...kind of literally can? We just have amazing chemistry and fit together in a way that's difficult to explain or quantify, but I'd honestly say it's the thing I love most about him and our relationship, that undefinable X factor that just makes us click together.

he’s strong and masculine but still sweet and sensitive. i love that we can talk shit to one another all day everyday, we share a very fucked up sense of humor and i love that i don’t need a filter around him.

he can do the dirty and the clean- he is an absolute gentleman when he needs to be and he can get rowdy when the mood strikes. i can bring him to a fancy wedding or a bonfire in the trailer park, he can rock both.

I love that my partner is my best friend. We have so many overlapping hobbies and interests. I never run out of things to talk about with him but I also enjoy sitting in silence next to him. I like that we play the same phone games and can talk about them. I like cooking together with him. I like that we never fight over what we want to do when on vacation, or what music to put on in the car. It's just easy being with him. He's the geeky nerd boyfriend my childhood self dreamed about.

He's the person I can 100% be myself around. Whether I'm in a silly mood, depressed, stressed out, excited, etc. I feel like he is always really receptive and understanding. I love that he is really understanding of my mental health issues and that I can also sympathize with his.

I love how intelligent he is. Even when we're discussing a topic he knows less about he listens and goves thoughtful insight. He has picked up quite a bit of the other languages I speak, so I can swtch between languages sometimes. If he doesn't understand a word he'll ask me to explain it.

We have similar values and are on the same page when it comes to life, love, and long-term goals. Even though we comes from pretty different family backgrounds we still share a lot of core values.

I also do find him super attractive. He has really pretty eyes and it feels nice to hug and cuddle him. I think we're very sexually compatible as well.

But yeah, more than anything he's my best friend. When we first met on OLD I had never had so much to talk about with a single person. Neither of us were looking for something serious (I was considering moving abroad soon), but I remember telling friends even if we didn't work out I'd still really want to be friends. It was the only time in my life I ever really felt that spark people talk about. Downloading Tinder that exact week was the best decision of my life.

I've known my partner for over 25 years. We've dated for about the last 10 of those years. I feel like we get to know each other better every day, even now. I love their hobbies, hearing them talk about their day. I love doing chores for them that they don't like having to do, and I love that they do chores for ME that I also don't want to do (ie, they're pretty anxious and don't like going outside, so I run most of our errands... meanwhile, being ADD, I hate doing paperwork, so they do all our taxes and stuff for both of us.)

Every year, we're able to take more stress off one another, and in doing so, our own lives get mutually less stressful every year. It's great. I'm so in love.

Ahhhh I love excuses to gush about my fiancé!

He’s kind. He’s just so kind. In such a sincere, understated way. He doesn’t do petty, he doesn’t do grudges. He’s kind to his friends, family, strangers. I admire his capacity for kindness.
He’s so fucking funny. Such good banter. We have each other in stitches.
He’s stubborn in a good way. I mean like, he stands up for his ideals. He’s not preachy about it, but like - if he sees gross behaviour, he’ll make it clear he doesn’t like it. He doesn’t just say the right things he does them. Holds people accountable. Even me which I love.
He is always willing to apologise if he’s wrong. He will always take responsibility when he fucks up. He always does his best to make things right if he’s hurt someone’s feelings.
He’s so clever. He can just…grasp things quickly, stuff he has not much experience with. I’ll infodump and he will follow along and ask questions and understand and I love that. And when he explains things to me, he’s so concise and clear and to the point, doesn’t judge when I ask questions to clarify things.
He’s sweet. He’s just so sweet.
He pushes me to be better, for ME. He wants me to be my best self so I can be happy. He loves me even if I’m not fulfilling my potential, but if I get defeatist and say I can’t do something he will tell me straight up I can and I should just to prove myself wrong. And he’ll support me the whole way, whatever I do.

That’s a short list. But it’s what I love the most I think. He’s just a funny, clever, kind, sweet, morally resolute, supportive man and I’m lucky, so lucky, to have him.

He's hilarious, he's a good, kind-hearted person, he's respectful, he's open-minded, he's very community oriented (our whole neighborhood looks to him for assistance when needed), he's warm and affectionate, he's pro-active and makes the most of every moment, he doesn't play emotional games, he's very smart, especially in ways that complement and/or challenge how I think and view the world, he is super attractive and I never tire of looking at him, age is making him/us together even better, he has always been open to my interests that differ from his, we can talk for hours and never get bored/irritable, he notices subtle things about my moods, meaning he cares enough to pay attention, he's helpful and thoughtful...

I feel like I could go on and on about all the things I'm grateful to have in my partner. He isn't perfect of course, and I'm not either, but neither of us expect that so I think that makes us more forgiving and open to compromise. He would never intentionally hurt me or be cruel to make a point, and vice versa. It's not just how great I think he is, it's also about how well we work together. I feel like I got very lucky. Kid aside, he's my favorite person.

He’s kind. He is respectful with my dad, who is in a wheelchair, and runs his errands or helps him in the bathroom but also treats him like a man and not an invalid. He has helped my daughter with her car or with moving or with money even if my daughter was kind of a brat toward him the first few years. He is great with kids, animals, and little old ladies. When we are with his family the men hang out in the garage and drink while the women hang out in the kitchen and cook and/or look after the kids, but he comes back to check on me again and again while the other men kind of ignore their wives unless it is to ask her to grab another beer. We laugh together over the stupidest shit. He is the only person I never have to wear a mask with, if that makes sense. And I love that after all this time we still fall asleep in each other’s arms every night.

Till this day, she's likely the most empathetic and selfless person I've met in this lifetime. Doesn't have any vices, doesn’t drink much, doesn’t smoke, always dated with intention or not at all, had a good upbringing and it shows, is 0% egotistical, doesn’t care much for things like money or status, only cares about character. Oooh! I like this question! Context- married for 10 years, together for 13.

He has a very even temper- rarely becomes angry (even when the Red Sox lose to the Yankees, he can regulate his emotions).

He is thoughtful and a great caregiver- does most of the cooking in our household.

Can be vulnerable (cried when we lost our puppers due to old age and didn't try to hide it).

Supports my efforts to be the primary earner in our household, and happily transitioning to a house husband (I love working and my job; he wasn't cut out for 9 - 5 capitalism, so we are working toward this preferred lifestyle).

He is smart, funny, kind. He wants a partner, not someone to do his bidding. He is honest and generous. He can be very goofy at times. He likes to check in on me when he's traveling, make sure I'm safe. He doesn't worry if I gain a few pounds or lose a few pounds. He is a good, solid predictable man. He is sexy as hell, and I enjoy that for me...but the other things are what I absolutely love and adore about him.

I'll just try and hit the top points about my wife.

She is thoughtful of my needs and let's me be myself, even if it means being alone in the garage and tinkering on my motorcycle.
She is always respectful of me in public, around friends and family. She operates under the "Praise in public, correct in private" paradigm. I do the same with her.
We have never fought, called each other horrible names or berated each other. We have disagreements, but we deal with them in a constructive, respectful manner and allow emotions to cool off first.
She was/is the best mother to our children that I could imagine, and now a doting grandmother.
She exhibits absolutely no Classification A, B or C personality disorders. I grew up with a mother with BPD & Bipolar disorder.
She does not "beat around the bush", drop hints or expect me to read her mind. She clearly communicates in actual words her desires, wants, irritations and feelings to me. She also will clearly tell me when she is venting about something, if she wants my opinion on a solution or for me to just listen to her.
She does tell me that she loves me, but more importantly her actions match her words. How she lives and relates to me, shows her love for me.
We and she took our vows seriously, "through sickness & health - for better or worse". We have overcome many hardships, including me going to war, PTSD, cancer and other health issues. Never once, did I fear of going through it alone.
She tells me when she is proud of me, but more importantly, in my opinion, she will call me out privately if I am in the wrong or going off the rails. Where I am weak, she is strong.

I met my partner online, weirdly enough, amd we dated long distance vefore moving in together. I am a woman with ASD and ADD so definitely not the norm when it comes to what my relationships look like, but I would say I like that my partner shares a similar sense of humor, we have similar hobbies and interests, we are emotionally very similar (i.e we handle our emotions similarly and go into arguments and discussions in a very tactful way naturally), and we are very sexuallycompatible (sinikar drice and openess to differentthings). That being said, we have very different cultural backgrounds, we have different religeous beliefs, and in many ways are very different people. I actually really like that aspect of our relationship. Ultimately, I think the reason we really work is not because we love eachother or have things in common, it's mostly because we have similar or shared goals and values. By that I mean we are on the same page with what we both want for ourselves in life. Both of us value having enriching careers, and while we both want to be parents, we both really want to be involved in child care and to lean on eachother so we can both continue our careers. He is an educator, and I'm going into psychiatry and social work, and he's super cool with me earning more once I'm through school. This will allow him to take off in the summer and stay home with kids. Being pretty different means we have skills that we bring to the table, so while he is better at the tracking and planning of finances, I'm better with budgeting our money and being responsible with credit. It also keeps things exciting because we end up doing things together or finding things the other wouldn't have otherwise. We keep eachother young.
