Male violence is so pervasive I don’t see any way around that particular thorn —- if there are men around, they’re going to dominate merely by the fact that they are willing to destroy, and we’re going to need other men to stop them.

I think this is an incredibly important perspective, men built the world with violence. It's part of the gender. Evolution is a simple thing, the weak die, the strong survive. I also don't see it as a pervasive issue (we are currently in the safest time period for men AND women, literally ever). I think that it is wiser to try and use healthy re-direction to encourage positive masculinity and behavior, but I think women need to learn positive femininity and behavior, including appreciation for when masculinity helps them, such as providing safety.

There is currently no appreciation in the "wokeism" crowd for just how helpful Masculity is when the bad shit starts going down in the world, and when you watch the news about a guy who ran back into the house on fire, that is a masculine trait; self sacrifice for others. It is very rare to hear about the woman who ran into the burning building. The 'traditionalism' crowd has no such issue supporting positive masculinity.

The point is to bring awareness to the bias that "its ok for women to joke about men" but not "its ok for men to joke about women". I'm really not bothered in the slightest, to answer your question. I just see no reason to allow the inference that the requirements of the 'equality society' is anything other then a totally equal measure in it's treatment of the participants. If men can't make sexist jokes about men or women, than women can't about men or women either. What's good for the goose and all that.

I think the significance of this is hard to understate. Many things that seem normal, or that might be accepted as having a powerful biological imperative would simply not have the same framework.

I very much enjoyed reading the link that the /u/flightlessbirbz posted about Goettner-Abendroth's work.

A good example from that was this bit:

No! Not in the least. The same is true for rape. Women, their sexuality and their power to give birth are respected. No man would dare touch a woman against her will. The clan system protects each woman.

I also thought this was particularly interesting:

Women have several partners over the course of their lives, so when they do have children, it is not their biological fathers who take care of them, but rather the brothers of the women. Men become the fathers of their nephews and nieces. Of course, if a man requests to play a more significant role in the life of his biological child, the clan will implement a system that grants him that role. But it’s the mother’s bloodline that counts.

That social fabric would result in an entirely different dynamic through a man's life - responsibility separated from ownership. Men from western society would say 'why on the earth would I want to look after another man's child? that is absurd', but that just emphasises how a supposed biological imperative is really just another cultural construct.

It'd be better for women and worse for men but overall pretty the same. Inequality is inequality.

I do wonder if it might be a kinder sort of inequality, in the same way that the inequality in liberal democracies is still kinder than the inequality experienced under authoritarian regimes.

Or perhaps as societies liberalise and become more equal the advantages innate to less equal societies become diluted and they start to look more similar.

Whilst modern society is still highly patriarchal, it's certainly significantly less so than it used to be, and some of the problems society is facing seems to be that the social guidelines and life narratives imposed by the patriarchy haven't been replaced by similarly easy to follow ones, resulting in a lot of confused and lost people as society tries to sort itself out. To be clear, I am an advocate for an even more egalitarian and gender-role diminished society, but it seems obtuse not to acknowledge that rigid societies have the advantage of providing clearer, if less fair, social contracts between the individual and wider civilisation.

My oldest sister is a staunch feminist and my mom is an old school feminist and they both believe that in order for any true matriarchy to ever exist women would need to devise some form of social cohesion in the midst of adversity the way us males have evolved to do in our competitive/cooperative instincts. To put it simply women are too vicious to each other in order to organize and work together the way men do; but where my sister diverges from my mom's version of feminism is that my sister believes that women's viciousness to each other is due to women's competition for male validation which compels a lot of women to sell each other down the river for the sake of securing men's good graces.

She's not dumb, she knows men do the same when it comes to fighting over women but men have devised all types of ways to cooperate with each other and solve their differences in millions of ways before actually going to war with each other. One very simple way they solved their infighting over women is to simply share women - sexually speaking. Even though males are picky about who they choose as mates they are not at all picky as to who they choose as a sex partner while women are extremely picky in both fronts.

My mom believes this type male behavior is another biological imperative, something males are pre-programmed with which is why she thinks boys are rowdy and playfight so much compared to girls. My sister disagrees and believes boys can be trained to act out their innate behaviors in a feminist structured way where they can best benefit women while teaching girls to be more assertive and leadership/cooperative oriented. I entertain myself sometimes hearing them argue back and forth with their theories and hypothesis.

The only thing they both agree on is that a Matriarchal experiment should at least be attempted, they don't agree on how it should be implemented though. My mom believes in nurturing males towards behaviors that benefit women so that men work to support a matriarchy out of their own volition and will actually work and fight to defend it the way one labors and fights for family and country. My sister leans more towards taking more radical steps and enshrining women's authority into laws and enacting compulsory education and labor for males which to me sounds too Soviet Union-esque for my taste.

My mom believes a true matriarchy is possible with patient work on the part of women, through education, cultural shifting, legal processes, and women's continual empowerment and most of all by proving that a matriarchy would benefit all parties concerned while my sister thinks she can bring about a Matriarchy on men's own terms (through compulsion and force) which is why my mom disagrees and believes women do not stand a chance because going to war with men - covertly or overtly - is far from a good idea. Men are at their home front when it comes to any form of conflict or war.

Just my luck, I have a female Stalin and Trotsky in my own home. My mom is like a feminist Troskyist, she believes in a permanent feminist revolution and that women can recruit males into the working together to bring what she considers a true Matriarchy. My sister is like the Lenin if feminists, she thinks women can only ever gain real power if they get it from the state and is enforced through law. I have to agree with my mom though. Men do not take kindly to tyrant as we have demonstrated over and over again across history. We did not tolerate it when other men were doing it and we will not tolerate it when women start doing it.

This is true, and I must say either women are terrible eugenicists or men are adept reproducers if only 20% of the males that women propagate are desirable by women themselves. Take women and men's own eugenic experiment for example. The majority of women are very attractive to us which means that for innumerable generations we have been choosing to impregnate the best, the healthiest and brightest women which is why women's average intelligence, health, beauty, and longevity is above a greater percentage of average men.

Men still dominate the extremes but women dominate the middle ground which means there are more women who are at an IQ of 100-110 than men. But it also means there are more men with an IQ over 140 than women.

So who is the better eugenicist here? 😉

Women are the product of men choosing the best women to breed with. If men are shit that says more about women's tastes in men.

My dad only finished high school while my mom has a Master's degree and she is much more intelligent yet my dad chose her to have us (me and my sisters). The only think my dad had going for him, that my mom was attracted to, is that he doesn't drink or smoke and that he's good looking, energetic, clever in his own way, emotionally balanced and hard working. My mom even says to my face my dad only made a good work horse for her while my dad talks back by retorting that the work horse turned stallion and got 4 out of her. lol They're divorced now but still.

I am following in my dad's footsteps and prefer smart intelligent women who are independent and strong like my mom that way even if she dumps me latter I would have had great kids with her. But honestly for my part she would be the one who dumps me because if a woman has my kids I'm never leaving her unless she pushes me away and even so I would still fight to see my kids and still want to provide for them.

I don’t believe she was ever serious about it, no. She said it knowing something like that would never get passed just to make a point. In a matriarchy, I don’t think this law would get passed, either. It’s clearly not practical at all. Do I think there would be more legal and social protections for women? Absolutely. But a big part of that would be because in a long-standing matriarchy, men wouldn’t see women as objects they had any right to rape or abuse. See this quote about matriarchal societies from the second article I linked:

“Q: Does prostitution exist in matriarchal societies? A: No! Not in the least. The same is true for rape. Women, their sexuality and their power to give birth are respected. No man would dare touch a woman against her will. The clan system protects each woman.”

Apparently they don’t need a 6pm curfew for men to prevent violence against women.

From hearing actual true-blue feminists daydreaming about a realistic matriarchy I imagine that while women are doing all the ruling men will still be in the background mucking around doing what we choose to do. I imagine - quite hilariously I might add - a government full of women chattering away about the boring stuff while all the men are outside doing the same dumb shit men do like strapping themselves to rockets, and attempting to see how many ways they can blow themselves up before they figure out a way to direct the explosion in such a way as to use it to rocket ourselves into space.

In a matriarchy I believe women would just empower themselves to to be more safe around men, perhaps some things they are already implementing such as female only trains or buses and some degree of segregation. Men would still make up the brunt of the Firefighting force due to physical requirements but I don't see how women couldn't just monopolize the police forces since modern tech means a woman of any size can deal with a threat of any size. Men also tend to chill the fuck out when women show up in a heated scene - cause they don't want to make asses of themselves in front of girls, especially ones in uniforms - whereas if more men show up it's on! And it escalates into a brawl or a firefight. Every time I have had to deal with female police they are much nicer than dealing with some asshole on a ego-power trip. At least in that field I think women handle power better, it doesn't go to their head they don't get sadistic or maniacal with a sense of power over people.

Another thing a matriarchy might try to do is tax men's labor more directly and not try to hide it and maybe sell it as some kind of propaganda that it's a masculine duty to support the "mother" land. It might also conscript men into some kind of service which would double as an apprenticeship so that men are facilitated into the workforce or into college if they show the smarts for it. This way less males are on the streets idle and prone to anti-social behavior. If boys are conscripted into community services at 18 in order to work to gain the experience needed for a job then all the better. Boys can then be put to work and pay their dues or they can go to college and work on their talents in that field if they have an aptitude for it. If some are good with mechanics then in a matriarchy they will be encouraged to do that, if they are eggheads they will be encouraged into STEM and if they just show a preference for loafing around doing the bare minimum then there are always millions of menial jobs they can put into like landscaping, factory jobs, service jobs seasonal farming jobs etc.

These are just some of the practical ideas that a lot of daydreaming feminists that I know personally like to discuss and talk about. So far I don't really have anything against any of these ideas. I would still be me in a matriarchy.
