Alright, I know I'll get downvoted to hell for this, but hear me out:

While it's definitely a shitty thing, it's something I personally understand. Sometimes girls are tall as well, and she looks like the type that is fairly tall (I think I've even seen her on the app myself perhaps?? if you are in South Korea that is...), and so, personally I also find it somewhat weird when a tall girl and a short guy go out together. Yeah it's judgemental as fuck alright, definitely agree, but a tall guy and a short girl aren't an odd sight, the opposite however kind of is. I hate the question, but I understand why it is being asked. But of course, judging a guy merely on that aspect already tells you a lot about the other person.

Also, honestly: Just answer the question. If you get judged or told some weird shit, or even outright unmatched, you know you dodged a bullet right then and there. It saves you time, effort, and makes the whole ordeal easier and you'll end up standing left as the better one.

Last but not least, let's just not forget everyone has their preferences in all kinds of aspects (personality and looks, to each their own), and everyone is allowed to have them. That being said, guys normally wait and see what happens until the first date and how they look like/act like then, not asking the straight up super direct stuff within the first few sentences of a potential match/relationship. Women actually just sometimes lack the social antennas that guys have, contrary to their claims of being more "sensible".

NOTE: I am saying this as a 181cm guy. Even I get passed over by women for this kinda nonsense, but if a girl/match is really only interested in my height (and me not being a giant basically at that point because 181cm is already above or even far above the average for most countries around the world), then it's a clear sign she likely doesn't have anything else to her, telling me all I need to know. If my height is only one factor however and it isn't too big of a deal, then what the hell do I care really. She provides back in other ways, which is what relationships are, an exchange of "I want this from you", and everyone weighs certain factors higher than others.

EDIT: Yikes, the amount of people here who have never been in a relationship or even dated is staggering actually. I can truly tell some of y'all have never had anyone, which is why you react this way. I know anyone who's dated a lot like me sees it in a similar or same way...
