I was thinking about this and I came to a conclusions:

It's because it makes them consider their own sense of attractiveness and value.

People, generally, only express attraction to those they see in their 'league' and are scared to express attraction to those they see as more attractive than them.

So when someone they see as unattractive expresses interest in them, they feel like they're being called ugly. They're thinking, "How dare you think that I have to -settle- for you. What makes you think that I can't do better? I'm not in your league, so you shouldn't be talking to me."

Notice, these people are typically the ones who exclusively date attractive people and complain when they get fucked around on and make posts about loyalty and old-fashion relationships on facebook.

Or, despite being fairly attractive, are never dating anyone because they have outlandishly high standards.

I might be the only one in this thread that sympathizes with you to some extent, because I think it's fine to want to date people you're attracted to and no one should have to deal with a stalker.

On the flip side though, it's usually, on some level, a person's own fault if they can't attract the people they want to be with.

I know it's mine, I have confidence issues, I don't approach girls in public so I'm stuck with online dating where all the non-obese girls are egotistical cunts and won't talk to me despite the fact I'm fairly attractive. I know my solution is to either be more social or just wait until I find a non-cunt online.

Well the equal outcome for everyone in say a Hugo Chavez or Bernie Pander's centrally planned wealth redistributionist economy could be measured pretty equally. Oh no, absolutely. I think they must've misread. I didn't mean it in that way at all. I've had plenty people I don't find personally attractive (friends, mostly) admit they liked me but I didn't berate them for it. It just made things a little awkward. I tried to make it clear in my comments I was talking about the least desirable people inside and out. Personally I feel flattered when actual people compliment me no matter if I'm personally attracted to them or not. It just gets different when they keep pushing it.

There are people on here who will attack me for simply being a woman, (this sub has a few of those lying around. I've already stated I'm both for men's and women's rights but you can't appease actual sexism) but that's true of most communities. Unfortunately this sub also tends to have more of them because they're bitter real women don't want anything to do with someone with an insufferable personality so they hide behind it being justice when they're just thirsty for "vengeance". I like the posts on here that are actually have double-standard insufferable women being put in their place.

Honestly to me it sounds like you're just saying that you deserve a more attractive dude than who typically approaches you based on how attractive you believe yourself to be (and apparently feedback from others). Fair enough. That's what I was pointing out in u/GourmetCoffee's post.

But personality lasts a lot longer than physical attractiveness. One day your opinion that neckbeards should piss off and stick to the fatties may outlive your physical capacity to remain out of their league.

That shit has an expiration date, and at some point "she's hot and quirky" will become "she's quirky". Now, nobody sould ask you to change your personality. Especially quirky, quirky is awesome. But it could at some point require that you redefine what your acceptable level of social skills is.

i used to be confused by this extreme negative reaction as well, but as i'm getting older, i think i'm starting to understand the perspective a little more.

imagine this, mate: tomorrow, you were to win 300 million dollars in a state where the identity of lottery winners must be publicized. for the rest of your life, there's going to be a number of strangers who, seeing your ugly mug in the newspaper, hunt you down and attempt to become your bestfriend in order to get you to buy them shit. others aren't going to bother with such a complex plan, they're just going to put their hands out and beg. of these beggars, a few are going to get triggered when you refuse to seed their impossible-to-fail kitten delivery start-up (it's not kittens being delivered to your doorstep, it's kittens doing the deliveries) and they're going to berate you, right where you're standing in the deli section of the supermarket, for being a stupid, irrational cunt who can't see all the greatness shimmering before your eyes.

suffice it to say, it's not going to take long to develop a bit of an aversion to anyone bringing up money matters, even if they're only innocently expressing their astoundment at the impressive bulge in your pocket.

well, that's how i imagine the experience of chicks that win the genetic lottery. of course it wouldn't be that extreme--there are millions of beautiful women for every person with 300 million dollarydoos. but the difference in scarcity is somewhat counterbalanced by other downsides, like the fact that the fortune is glued to your face so literally every person you meet is going to be made aware of it, or the fact that, unless you're a moralless slutbag, agreeing to any one of the investment opportunities, which you deem genuinely profitable, effectively makes it impossible to agree to any of the other hundreds that are still going to be shoved in your face anytime you try to enjoy a mocha and a baguette in the morning over the next ten to twenty years (at which point your bank collapses, you're forced to trade in your fancy porpoise-leather wallet for one made of nylon with velcro straps, which even homeless dudes will think twice about before stealing).

First of all, someone makes a post saying people that fancy her don't tend to have the glamour and style of people that she fancies. Seems innocent enough observation, and since she's using animated cars to make the comparison, this seems all rather lighthearted.

Next up, a year later someone finds this post, creates account for that less glamorous animated car, and yells "who said I like you?". Joke on the surface being that you didn't expect animated cars to actually take part in any conversation, so them having opinions in any way would be kinda funny. However, the remark is made in rather crude way, and is seemingly hostile in spirit, but whatever, you could still kinda see it being lighthearted jab.

Next up, someone posts this exchange on pussypass denied. Implication being, she was taken down on wrongfully assuming things about... animated car? Yeah, that part doesn't really make much sense. It gets even weirder since there's really no "pussy pass" being invoked. She's not trying to get away with anything based on the gender, only commenting on the age old paradox of everyone aiming a bit higher than their own league using animated cars as example.

So now we're down to comments on this thread, which talk about how she's insulting men that find her attractive. Which kinda seems to be the point here. She's attractive, someone told her to go fuck herself, that's r/pussypassdenied
