Personally my reaction to TRP was the the complete opposite. The more I learned, the better my understanding of my circumstances became. Ultimately, leading me to far better outcomes.

I can’t really relate, to the loss of hope. I can however attest, to the benefits.

Yeah, kind of.

I'm past the acceptance stage, so it isn't depression. It's just that the curtain has been pulled back and I don't like what I see. You're dealing with something that doesn't have loyalty in their vocabulary. Kinda hard for things to work out with that trait missing.

Example: I was seeing a woman who was apparently crazy for me. Hadn't seen her in 2 weeks and hadn't fucked her in twice as long. So we meet, and then she tells me about some drama involving another man who she's tried to help out despite hardly knowing, then they had massive drama and arguments. My thought were "if this dude levels up in the slightest then he can have her". Then she tells me some story about how she commented to a delivery driver how cute he is... how am I supposed to be in a relationship with someone like this? And I told her that. Then came the wall of text apologies. Cool, I'll still see and fuck her, but a relationship simply cannot happen now. I've spun plates whilst this has gone on anyway as I've been burned before and will never go all in on one woman ever again.

I know that some snake is going to slide through the cracks one day and worm his way in, then my turn will be over. I know and accept that this is a highly likely scenario. So what's the point? I'll get my fun (3 ways) while it lasts, make sure I've got a back up plan of my own too. But the whole relationship thing just feels false now. There's always someone ready to take my place by any means necessary.

I just feel like a Boxer (BF) who has a title (GF) and has seen off the latest contender (male) only to be told I've got a rematch tomorrow. It just doesn't end. So I'm at the stage of life where I'm seeing 3-4 women and will just replace the ones that it starts fizzling out with.

I am not getting hurt again. If I enter a relationship then it's only a matter of time until that happens. So fuck that.

OP I think you just need to reevaluate and redefine what relationships mean to you and what role they play in your life. You don't have to give up on them entirely.

Sure you probably won't have a fairy tale relationship where you find true love or your soul mate. But you can still have relationships that bring value to your life.

There's really nothing wrong with just giving up on relationships.

Aaron Clarey has some good videos. He actually wrote a book called "the book of numbers" where he attempts to figure out the odds of you getting a "good woman" by various criteria. Even if you don't agree with his criteria, he makes a good point, the odds a very low of getting a good one. For example, one of his criteria is "no tattoos" but if you don't care about that, yes, your odds go up a little bit, but it's still relatively low.

He also makes a strong case that many women don't even really like men. Many women are earning their own money now and basically don't want a traditional relationship (ie long term, or marriage) because they see men as useless since they make their own money now. So they'd rather just have the occasional fling with the "Chad".. super handsome man.

So yea, some people in the red pill will say "well, make yourself Chad then".. And there's nothing wrong with that. But for some men, this is problematic advice. Not all men can make it into the top 5%, it's just not mathematically possible. In order to get to the top 5%, you have to knock out someone that's already there. Now, I'm not saying men should just give up on everything, become a bum, become obese, etc.. A lot of the self improvement stuff will help you in other facets of life (besides getting laid). At the same time, there's things you may have about yourself that you can not change that will prevent you from ever 'leveling up enough'.. You might have a ceiling of 6/10 as far as looksmaxing goes, for example.. and no amount of hitting the gym or dieting is going to change that.

Anyhow, another thing Aaron pointed out, at the time he wrote the book , people on dating apps (men and women) were spending an average of 90 minutes a day swiping on the app . That's a lot of time investment that you could be doing something else. Is it really fun? Not really. Spending all that time swiping, then all the time trying to chat with a woman that really doesn't care, because she has so many other guys trying to talk to here. Then, suppose she agrees to a date... It's probably 50-50 whether she shows up. Then, if she does show up, is she there for the free food or entertainment? I mean, yea, I get it, the red pill says that you should make the first date a low cost one, and that's a good idea, but you get the point.. A friend of mine lined up a coffee date with a teacher. He got there, she had all her attention focused on grading her papers, didn't really want to talk. He did the right thing and just left, but the point is, this woman was just trying to "check off" the first date to get him to take her somewhere better. Or maybe when he showed up, she decided she wasn't interested and just blew him off.. The point is.. it takes a lot of time, energy, and money to date. Is it worth it? That's something that every man has to decide for himself. If you are ready to give up on dating, there's nothing wrong with that. Once you give up on dating, a lot of time is freed up to pursue hobbies and other things which may be a lot more fulfilling to you. Personally, I don't think the effort required for dating is worth it. I came to the same conclusion you did.

What's happened to you is that the entire worldview you have based your entire life upon and your entire approach to life, has been destroyed before your eyes. Suddenly the way things have unfolded has been made clear and the actions you witnessed which previously made no sense, now make sense.

Having spent all of your life living a lie, this naturally triggers grief. Welcome to the denial phase. It's a process and you'll come out the other side stronger for it. You'd do well to take up the reading of some Philosophy from great minds of the past who described similar thoughts and feelings but chose not to give into Nihilism.

You don't want a wife, you don't want kids, you don't see the point. That's fine. It's not for others to tell you that you're wrong, though the wisdom of long experience would indicate that at some point you're somewhat likely to change the way you feel.

And even if you don't change your viewpoint, that's fine too as long as you're finding something else that is meaningful to you.

Facing the world for what it is doesn't need to be cause for withdrawal. There's work to do, education to be had, mountains to climb, books to read, weights to be lifted, places of historical significance to walk through.

Let your relationships with women be a byproduct of the lifestyle that comes with developing a rich and interesting life in every other way.

Don't know your age but it's imperative to get rid of your ex-wife mentally. For leaving like that, she wasn't a good person to date, and she will taste her own medecine one day and crawl back nicely.

I think “repurposed” is a better term than “gave up” to describe my situation.

My time is now almost entirely focused on 1) reaching financial independence and 2) staying as fit and healthy as I can.

The time that I used to spend going out to meet women has been replaced by working, learning, exercising, or exploring hobbies. I still value meeting people and date when I can, but I’m totally detached from the outcome and happy with being single.

Much of life is irrational and meaningless. Just take it by the horns and enjoy it as best you can. Understand that life itself isn’t permanent or meaningful, so learn, exercise, build, create, and date as much as you feel compelled to do so.

I've more or less given up, not because of the TRP but mostly because of the height pill.

No matter what you say, dating is very hard if you are short. Not impossible, but its hard to the point that is really not worth the effort. The juice is not worth the squeeze. And most things like exercise, and money, only works over a certain height. I just going to wait until this crazy height thing passes.

If you are a normal human you have likely perceive human interaction through an emotional lense and not a mechanical one.

Think about anything ever you enjoyed at became good at. You likely started it through an emotional perception, but to become good you turned to an analytical one.

Did that make the thing less enjoyable? Likely not. Now you can just manipulate outcomes to your favour better and even enjoy the subleties of the mechanics.

I also struggled with the thought of being with multiple women just for intimacy in the beginning, being raised religiously, but once I read The Ethical Slut, it made it much more easier to have fun with it and accept it.

I have 3 kids. Separated and getting divorced. I will never marry again or live with one. All 3 bio kids are girls and presently trying to raise them with traditional values so they won't drink the hypergamy and feminist kool-aid. I know several never married (happily) and many more divorced who never remarried intentionally, and they are satisfied with life.

My stepson had his first wife leave him because she figured out she liked girls. He did unintentionally meet someone, but he said had he not, he was not looking, and he was content to never be with anyone again. She is conservative and traditional. When other female family members have spit the feminist bullshit, she has called it out.

The bottom line is tread carefully with females. It only takes one to destroy your life and they don't need much time. Minutes for a false accusation... one night of sex for 18 years of CS.

It helps to look for women in places where they aren't total whores. Skip Clubs and all that crap, go for hiking trips with travel groups.

Even if you believe all women are bad, there are the best and worst places to look for good women.

In a relationship you are in a democracy and most RP men prefer a dictatorship.

The easy, cynical answer is "Enjoy the decline, brah!". The hard, positive answer is try to build a better future for your kids or the rest of society later on.

If you want to keep accelerating society even deeper into its sinkhole, then by all means keep running through girls. Choose your poison, I would say, but the easy answer I guarantee will not feel fulfilling aside from the short term cooming.

The fact of the matter is TRP is only depressing because you're looking at the state of society now and what caused it, rather than realizing that our state was artificially caused and can, in theory, be remedied to a much healthier place. Everything has an opposite reaction and if we're in a state of darkness there can also be a state of light.

Women will be women. Question is, are you happy with how incentivized they are to follow their selfish desire (so that you enjoy the decline coomer fantasy,btw) rather than to try and at least remedy that? Just something to think about. TRP gives accurate descriptions of the problems but virtually has no long term solutions other than get what you can now until you die.
