So of course I need to see if each new date is GF potential, as in depth as possible.

Then when I finally find one that is so amazing that I would rather spend time with her, doing basically anything, than a crazy sex night with some new woman, I then seriously consider dating them.

Sounds like you want an open relationship. Super hard to come across a girl who's down for the same thing, but not impossible.

I was in an open relationship with a girl a year ago. We both had just gotten out of monogamous relationships with someone else, both knew we were into each other, but also knew we didn't want anything serious. I basically just brought it up to her one night after going out like "Hey. So there's obviously something going on between us. But we both don't want to jump into something serious, we both want to date around and have fun, I feel like we're both on the same page here and could make this work." And the next day we just talked everything out, that we'll hang out, go on dates, fuck, and if we want to do any of that with anyone else, it's all good.

I think the most important thing was making it clear that if one person's feelings change, we need to talk about it immediately and see where to go from there, and if we're not on the same page anymore, there's no hard feelings.

Honestly, that was probably one of, if not the healthiest relationship I've ever been in because of how solid our communication was. When it ended, it was pretty mutual, my feelings were fizzling out, she found a guy she wanted to be exclusive with. Her and I are still really good friends to this day.

I try my best to not stab my gf in the back, even though I somewhat have opportunities. Sometimes I realise I do really good at smalltalk and that it could be misinterpreted, and I back off by myself, just to not make "it" happen.

I like having my gf around when socialising anyways, because I don't mind any more speaking to strangers, even when these strangers happen to be awfully beautiful young women. I don't need the approval I'd need when alone or with friends, so I just let go of myself with more ease.

Yeah I definitely feel that way. I’ve only been to one house party, but one of my fantasies is hooking up with some girl at a party/shortly after, and not necessarily as a one night stand. It’s just that whole craziness and intensity of attraction that makes it appealing to me.

But my overarching desire is companionship and cuddling and an actual relationship rather than just a hookup. Even though I’m very logical normally, I feel like I do have an emotional side that I’d like to get in touch with with a girl I care about a lot.
