Honestly it is a mix of looks and personality. People should stop aiming to be 10s and should aim to be the best versions of themselves. As a 5 foot 9 black man, I will never be the complete package to certain types of women. But I do not need the attention of all women. Just the one that matters who will eventually be my wife.

In my opinion this rating system is complete garbage because a persons value is not looks but the mind. This rating from 1 to 10 is just considering looks and nothing else. Usually when I hear men talking about women in number from 1 to 10 I leave very fast because I don’t like it and it rubs me the wrong way!

But because of your post I will make an exception and answer your question. Basically for me a woman who will be here for me, love me, be my best friend and obviously I can’t expect that without giving it too. That’s pretty much it for me! However when it comes to dating I must say this because I’m an honest person a little bit shallow are all people because you have to be attracted to someone if you want more to happen!

Bo Derek from the original "10" movie, was ok to look at, but she sounded absolutely airheaded when interviewed.

These guys use this rating system to judge a womans appearance when she is nearly naked. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy looking at the female body, but there is a lot more to attraction than a persons appearance.

Be you. You want a person that is attracted to you. Don't pretend to be someone else, after a while the true you comes out.

It is normal not to be attracted to yourself, ---you aren't trying to mate with yourself---, you want to mate with people you find attractive, if those people act and tell you you're attractive, believe them.

I know that isn't easy. Personally I have never liked my own appearance, but I have gotten a lot of attention. It has always surprised me when attractive women find me attractive. It took a few years to just accept compliments without thinking the woman attracted to me had mental health issues.

There are celebrities that we all kind of agree are attractive, but most of us have our own personal favorites that are often not represented by any celebrities.

Crazy thing is, you probably know atleast one person that thinks you are perfect, but they don't dare to say anything for fear you will reject them.

People will give you lots of feel-good advice, but if you really want to aspire to be a 10, be someone who lives at the gym 4+ days a week, and has an overall active lifestyle. Master your personal style, grooming, makeup, and even things like the tone of your voice, your posture, and the way you stand, walk, and carry yourself. Try to be more feminine and less androgynous. Actually work on it diligently and you can actually become that super sexy goddess that 99% of men will drool over. There is guidance and tutorials for all of this stuff on YouTube. Find style influencers who are a match for your body type and vibe, and follow their advice.

With all of that said, don't let your self esteem be dependent on whether or not you are a 10. As many others have said, everyone is someone's type. If it's about attracting a mate, that's the right attitude. But if you want to pursue modeling, or just enjoy the power of your seduction as a 10, go become a 10 and see how it helps your life!

Obviously, this varies depending on personal taste. But say the looks are a 10 for you then it's also:

How sexy she is.
Humour
Energy
Career
Education
That your interests and ideology somewhat align.
That your idea of a future together and what it looks like align.

But if you're going for just looks. Here are some dos and don'ts:

Do lose the weight.
Do get fake tits if you have small breasts.
Do shower before a date, we can tell if your hair is dirty.
Do botox forehead and crowfeet if you're over 35.
Don't do lip fillers
Don't use fake eyelashes if they're not exceptionally professionally done.
If your nails hinder you from working with a computer efficiently, they're too long.

Other than that it's how you carry yourself, how you dress, how much positive energy you exert.

In my earlier comment, I described my perfect 10, but perhaps a better comment is to say that you are somebody's 10. Work on being the best you you can possibly be, be yourself, and someone is going to like you for who you are.

She has to be a baddie at 10, she has to have mother qualities: cooks, cleans, takes care of the house, takes the kids to school and is a loving mother to my children (for my kids) & she is respectful/compliant to me & doesn’t argue with me or outright disrespect’s me. As others have said, it is different for different people. I like women who are kind and can hold their end of the conversation. Seeing a woman who is rude to waiters, store assistants etc is a huge red flag for me. Also while I am willing to carry the weight of the conversation, give and take is important to me. Another important thing is women taking care of themselves. For eg: if your hair looks like it needs a lot of grooming, I have an issue. At tue same time I don’t have issues with frizzy/dry/insert your own adjective here for what may make hair unattractive as long as you put in an effort to make it look as good as you can.

TLDR: A girl who is nice, intelligent and makes an effort to present her best self aesthetically > A Victoria secret model with a shitty attitude and dandruff flakes on her dress who gives one word responses when we talk.

The things you can control are fitness, kindness and cultural signals

Fitness: don't be fat

Kindness: I think you have this pretty good, try to make people happy and keep a level head, but maybe sure you gently express your disappoint so you don't boil over. I get the feeling you will do fine.

Cultural signaling: dress like the people you like, talk like the people you like, do the thing you like. This is actually kinda hard

The next two things are to be social to find your people, different guys like different girls, my friends and I regularly disagree on who is attractive

And finally you need compatible genes, there much like breeding a pumpkin humans have genes for their immune system that will go well with a different gene set, we however have covert ways of signaling our genetic compatibility, mostly through scent.
