They do it because they're desperate. They where never taught to approach women. In many cases they where taught not to approach them to avoid "harassment". Which has led to a situation where they don't know how to talk to women. Which means they never get laid, despite wanting to.

Simping is a desperate attempt to gain female attention when you don't know how to.

Most men are not only desperate, they lack the self-respect and self-control to sacrifice the prospect of short term pleasure for long-term satisfaction. I get it - most guys, especially young guys just want to bang. It’s written in our genes. But I definitely think we should step up and stop letting one head absolutely overrule the other.

I think it is because our society pushes that hard work can get you anything and simps apply this to relationships. Many simps get good grades, great jobs and great lives by simply working harder. But then they meet that woman they like and think if I work really hard to get her to like me she will. But people really do not work like that.

I've had girls simping for me. They don't call it simping. To them it's flirting or being friendly. They think it's a natural progression of friendship to relationship but they've already made themselves available and giving resources of attention, time, gifts

Guys get confused. And think they need to copy a girl's strategy. It's a weak strategy and only shows you as available.

Guys lose value when they are available. Yet they go ahead and continue this strategy anyways. It's a woman's strategy due to their high market value.

I "simp" because it's fun. My simping isn't limited to one gender. I'll comment the same shit on my guy friends' posts too. I don't see commenting something positive as cringe. I don't see complimenting someone "mildly attractive" as cringe.

To me, the real cringe is in the guys who pretend they're better than everyone else because they sparingly give out attention and compliments.

When you look at one post and see a million compliments, it's easy to see them all as simps, but if you look at most of those guys' comment histories individually, you'll see that a lot of them give out attention like candy. You get a heart, you get a heart, etc.
