How do I talk to girls at parties- specifically college ones? At my school they are always either talking in groups or dancing. I always just hang with my guy friends and we hit the dance floor, none of them are really interested in talking to girls very much. But as I am a crappy dancer, I sometimes find myself alone and looking for someone to talk to / flirt with. I don't have very many issues keeping the conversation going, my main issue is the first 45 seconds.

How do you go about disabling an AMOG who you happen to have known a long time?

I was at a party a few weeks ago talking to a few new people, try a few routines on them when all of a sudden he comes in a goes primal on them, not necessarily hooking up on the spot, but straight away into touchy feely with them, and they enjoyed it.

Usually what I read a bout disabling AMOGs are people you're trying to pickup who happen to have an aggressive BF, so how do you go about my friend who has AMOG traits that usually gets in the way? Putting them down would just be too obvious if you have known them for a long time. (He tries to do put me down by twisting stories of past events just recently, I would suspect its just to boost his ego and lower mine)

This may be a really dumb idea, but after attempting to make plans with a girl, if she responds with 'is this a date?' could you say something like 'do you want it to be?' - to indicate both that you want it to be a date and gauge her level of enthusiasm/attraction to you? Or would a more direct approach like a straight up 'yes' be a little more... alpha (for want of a better word?)
