No-one has a card, now he looks like an awkward loser with no card hahah.

Then he'll try to get you to enter his number in your phone, but with the confidence from already knowing he's a loser, "No thank you" and then ignore him.

If he has a card, tuck it into your purse and throw it out when you get home.

ugh this happened to me when I was renewing my drivers license a few months ago!! I was in rain gear, fully masked, waiting in line, all documents with my name were in my bag. this guy behind me must have been peering over my shoulder the whole time while I was on my phone and found my social media. he sent a message request later when I was all done and asked if I passed my test... I thought it was someone from work since the question made sense and was related to work at the time. So I said excuse me what test? and he said your permit test and said that he could teach me how to drive . I felt SO violated. and this predator thought I was barely 16.... GROSS. this post was my reminder to get myself a privacy screen.

On a flight, a guy gave me his name and told me to add him on Facebook. I always take the name and then toss it out, never actually adds them. But this guy added me on Facebook a few days later, I asked how he got my name since I didn't give it to him, he said he looked at my custom declaration - the paper they made us fill before landing.

I didn't think anything of it because back then I knew nothing about having my boundaries and about the danger of men. I didn't know back then that when a man wants to add you somewhere it's never innocent. It's never just "oh let's keep in touch with that nice lady on the plane", it's always because they want something (sex) out of you.

I travelled alone quite frequently during my master's since I was based in another city. Every flight I would pray and hope that I don't get the middle seat, or that I don't have a man sitting beside me.

Twice really weird men who have no concept of reading body language or tone kept talking to me for the whole flight. One of them had such bad breath and was bitching about his life being too hard as a middle school teacher or some other rubbish. Another one added me on Facebook and I literally deleted Facebook post that (I was planning to anyways since Facebook is the manifestation of a pervy scrote who follows you everywhere).

So many times I've had to use 'I'm not well I'm feeling sick' card. I would generally get to my seat, check the people around me and depending on the situation would inform the flight attendant (always female) that I was uneasy and not feeling great. I would ask her if she could let me know if a seat opens up in front. These ladies had my back, they automatically scanned the gross men and got back to me as soon as boarding was completed. The satisfaction of walking away from a clown who was so excited to get a young girl sitting next to him was amazing.

My..."number neighbor" did this shit. My phone number is (example) in 000-000-0000 and his is 000-000-0001.

Okay so if you ever need to give out a fake number, get those phone number apps. I have one when I don't want to give out my real number for any situation (I use text now). You can always get a new number and it costs you nothing.

I have had waiters look at my receipt when I payed with a credit card and then hit me up on Facebook.

His friend request came through - and I was like "Do I know you?" and he was like "No you came into my cafe this morning and I saw your name"

I have heard horror stories about men standing behind women in line eavesdropping and memorizing their phone numbers to harass them, so now I never say it out loud, I write it down. It sometimes annoys the person behind the desk but too bad.

Another thing I hate is when pharmacy assistants ask me to confirm my address/phone number. With masks, they ask me to speak even louder and I'm paranoid a scrote in line will pick it up. I know they have to ask without me seeing the prescription but it concerns me. I try to go when I know they'll be quiet.

Download the text now app and give out that number to men instead. They shouldn't have your real number. You can find a person's social media, address, full name and see who they're related to just from having their actual phone number. Google Voice is another option. I like text now as I can change the number whenever I feel like it. And I can choose whatever US area code I want.

He probably got your last name because you gave him your phone number. You can Google a phone number and get a person's fill name and maybe even their address. That's why you don't give out your phone number.

I use Google Voice for dating instead of giving out my cell phone number that I’ve had for almost 20 years. Get one and if you feel pressured to give you number, is that one and then block him. That way he won’t be able to use it to look you up anywhere.

In general I think it’s best to not work in public areas where others can view your screen if you or your clients have an interest in privacy. Leveling up isn’t just about work. We can use in flight time to read books, indulge in fashion magazines, listen to music, or meditate. None of which has to reveal your data to a rando.

When I was in college, sometimes I’d leave my laptop at the table in the library when I’d go to the bathroom. It was a really safe thing to do. I would always find messages and messages in my inbox from boys on campus who I didn’t even know.

After a while, I realised my first and last name were on the laptop lock screen. I changed my admin name to my initials only and take my laptop everywhere now.
