Ever watch nature tribal documentaries? Pay attention to the men and the women and their behavior and ages.

The highest ranking tribal men are most often older, powerful, yet still physically strong and ripped, and classically attractive for their culture. You rarely see obesity. These powerful men often have multiple significantly younger women from the tribe as their mates.

Meanwhile the younger men and the older women often neither hold much power nor have any mates at all. The young men compete to gain power as they age, and aquire mates. Meanwhile the older women take on a caretaking role for the tribe. Is this why human females evolved menopause?

Are tribal communities more similar to how humans evolved and our natural state? Where the most powerful men get the majority of the young women, while less powerful men get little to nothing at all?

Perhaps western society is beginning to reflect our natural tribal instincts now that we have more freedom and are bound less by tradition. Even in modern society the most desirable men get the majority of female desire while the vast majority of men get almost nothing and settle for what they get.

Aging in these tribes seems to favor men if they are able to gain power and status while maintaining their health and looks.

Meanwhile women seem to have most of their power while young innately. They are valuable by simply being young and female no matter what.

Meanwhile the young men do not have much power at all and have to earn it through competing within their tribe.

What are your thoughts and observations from studying various tribes around the world and seeing these patterns of behavior?
